What a fun, creative place. You can't help but feel good with all the colorful surroundings and art! Area felt very safe and easy walking distance to great restaurants. The Speak Easy was a fun surprise and we enjoyed a few nightcaps there before heading to our room.

Very friendly staff and a great location. Room was clean and colorful. I’d definitely stay here again.

Avoid room 128. This room is located right next to the housekeeping quarters. We traveled for balloon fiesta and was looking forward to some rest and relaxation at the room. This was impossible anytime the housekeepers were in and out of that room. I brought this to the attention of the management and even though they had an available room to move me to they wanted to charge me an upgrade fee to move away from the noise. I will stay at another hotel for my future abq trips. This accommodation request was very appropriate yet management fought this regardless of the vacancy.

Loved the vibe and attention to detail. Here is what would keep us from returning: Staying in room 247 with an early morning flight and the Music/bass blasting while we are trying to sleep. Contacted front desk, said they would have them turn it down, didn't happen. Traffic noise - if we had more time I would have moved rooms. Safety - felt a bit uneasy with the yelling going on outside when we were loading up to leave at 4 this morning.

Overall for a 3-star place the hotel delivers as expected, with a few extras that may or may not be to your liking. The location is convenient to Nob Hill, but is located directly on Central and all the color that avenue brings. Front desk personnel are friendly, but it seems that the hotel in general is still working out a few kinks (asked for minimal amenities that should have been in-room already but they never appeared, “speakeasy” is going through a revamp, stated web prices for things were different onsite, and pool area could use a touch more attention), but all-in-all a solid (and boutique, local owned) option that delivers more character than the chain options in town. Room was large, and all the basic amenities were present as expected - however, the entire hotel and rooms seem like a quick-flip of a travelodge or motel 6 (furnishings varied from thoughtful to cheaply installed), and wear is already starting to show. Hoping that the owners put a little more love into maintenance (and security - for instance, not putting room numbers on the publicly displayed parking pass for your car) to perfect the “experience,” which is really what they are aiming for. Last bit - be warned that during peak times the costs rival those of 4/5-star hotels in NYC or SFO - temper your expectations, and know that you’re paying for availability, not star-ratings, or the amenities those properties offer.

The hotel is so cute and lively. We loved it. The owner and all of the employees were super nice and very helpful. We especially loved all the cookies and great advice about town. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Pretty cool place!

The hotel is a little run down. No mad service, had to ask for coffee daily. Speak easy was ok, service slow and drink was soso. Parking is very limited. Would not venture out after dark. Pool was not heated as advertised. I would however stay there again based on its location

Overall, place was good. As a solo traveler, I noticed, the room can definitely have more privacy and security. The window in bathroom was unlocked and had access to the street. The door’s lock was not the best. The main window had two narrow and thin curtains that did not cover the whole window and could see into the room at night from the outside, exposed to whoever walked by. The clean room was clean. Staff was friendly.

The best pillows!!
Colorful, lively, unique and fun.
P.s if you’re reading this…. If you tap the banana 3 times, the doors will open, you’ll be greeted by your favorite drink(s).
The best place to start your evening with your favorite spirits.

This is such a cute hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The shampoos and soaps were amazing!! The staff were so helpful. We had a blast in the speakeasy. It had an amazing vibe!

We really enjoyed our stay! This place is so unique and cute and vibrant, the room was clean and comfortable and bathroom was great. The speakeasy bar and s really fun! I would stay here again. The only issue was the loud traffic outside and the area is a bit sketchy but everywhere in Albuquerque is sketchy.

A beautiful, trendy, clean place! Loved it!

The hotel itself is such a view, there’s a pop of color in almost every corner. The room was clean and neat when we first arrived, and the service provided whenever you needed something was relatively fast. Sometimes though your messages wouldn’t be seen so your request wouldn’t be completed but you can always go to the front desk to get what you need. The windows in the room do let in a lot of noise, so if you struggle to sleep with noise it might be a slight issue.Overall, it was a great place to stay

The hotel facility was acceptable with upgraded beds and bathrooms. The neighborhood was okay, but maybe a little unsafe. Two good dining establishments were close. Breakfast across the street and an Italian restaurant 1 block down Central. Staff were reasonably pleasant, but the rooms were only serviced occasionally. Our perception was this facility was average.

Enjoyed the convenient Nob Hill location. Comfy room & bed.

There were bugs on my shower curtain! I woke up with 2 bug bites in the morning. My room was tile throughout and the grout was originally white, it was so dirty it was black. It looked like months of dirt and who knows what. I emailed twice and called 3 times (left messages) text twice, all with no response or call back. Poor customer service by upper management!!! I will say that the lady at the front desk when I checked In was super nice and super helpful. Do not recommend staying here!

Overall a good hotel. Hot water was turned off to the bathroom sink. Did not notice till the morning I was leaving. I'm sure they would have addressed it quickly though.
All in all a decent place to stay.

We chose this hotel due to the amazing artwork. We were not disappointed in anything here. Wonderful location, restaurants in walking distance, free parking, awesome staff. If i ever return to Albuquerque i will definitely be back here. Ive already referred it to my aunt who is coming for the balloon festival. Also loved the hidfen speakeasy, the pool, the giant chess set, and colorful chairs outside. Our room had this amazing giraffe on the wall. Absolutely perfect!

Fun, colorful and full of style! We loved it! Will stay here again.

Quirky motel, the double room was a little pricey for our short stay but delightful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Arrived late so had to park on the street. Loved the artistic touches...pops of color...and general feel of the property. The speak-easy looked inviting, but we didn't have time to check it out. Some of the art needed upkeep. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean, and we walked across the street for a wonderful breakfast in the AM. Would stay here again.

What a fun place to stay!! From the cool, retro vibe, to the hidden speakeasy, and the awesome pool area (sad the “dive-in” was cancelled due to weather, Hotel Zazz is an experience, not just a place to lay your head. Within walking distance to a vibrant food and entertainment district, it checks all the boxes.

Description in app was not accurate. It initially said they offered laundry area. There was no mention of parking fees. It was $10 to park in a very small, limited parking area. They hold $150 for incidentals where most other hotels are 30-50. The rooms were cute but not completely clean, specifically the bathroom.

I appreciated the text communication and welcoming staff and messages! I love how the owner updated this historical hotel and will stay here again!

Really liked the vibe, the pool and the location. But, our "upgraded" room was right on the street. And on both Saturday and Sunday there was loud (bad) live music at 8:00am. The pillows were so awful that I actually need to mention how bad they were in my review.

Super fun Motel very nostalgic would definitely stay here again definitely recommend this awesome Motel to friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very cute ideas and excellent service. I loved the locally sourced tea, and the lotion and soap with the house scent. Also the thoughtful makeup removing cloth. New cool hardware and an artsy feel. The ideas are good but very poorly executed and not well maintained.

I was 20 minutes early from check in and they didnt have my room ready but for 25 dollars extra it would be ready as it is it was not worth 115 dollars a night for a jungle themed motel 6

Cute themed motel. Stair were brutal especially with how often code has to be reprogrammed for door. Rooms smell musky old hotel. Clean. I felt safe . Parking can be a problem

I had one of the scariest experiences I have ever had over my 20 years of extensive travel at this hotel. On my second night, I woke up at 5AM to my door cracked open. It was closed from 8PM-3AM. I was a female traveling alone. The doors open by a key pad, and the door opens to the outside world. The top latch was set, so the door could only open a crack. I naturally thought someone had tried to get into my room. It was still dark out, and the hotel reception closes at 2AM. I got concerned that other guests might be in danger, so I called the police to report it. The girl and the engineer that were later sent to my room both dismissed my questions and wouldn’t let me finish my sentences instead of conducting a thorough investigation to determine what had happened, so it could be prevented in the future. The girl actually stormed out of the room when I insisted on finishing my sentence. The strategy seemed to be about shifting blame rather than taking responsibility. The owner and engineer claimed that the door sometimes popped open if not shut properly because of the weather strip. I was accused of being rude to staff for asking questions and of yelling, which absolutely didn’t happen. When I later suggested to the owner that they communicate door problems in the room at at check-in, she said they would consider it with a smirk on her face. This was a serious known safety and security risk that needs to be addressed immediately. I really hope they do take this seriously.

I have never stayed at a dirtier, smellier hotel in my life. There was hair in the shower and in the sink, and the sheets were stained. Lipstick on a pig is how I would describe the outside.

Nice. Need microwaves in rooms.

Very nice room and the staff were very helpful.

Neat little hotel in walking distance of awesome stuff. The bathroom is tiny and the toilet is crammed in a tiny space so caution if you are an average to big person. Shower was ice cold.

The vision that the owners had for this property is wonderful. They have breathed new life into Hotel Zazz and made it very welcoming. I can’t wait for my next visit.
