We enjoyed our stay in Birch Harbor. The property is located right in the center of the village (as advertised) and is across the street from a fun, good restaurant and a nice ice cream shop. The location is adjacent to the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park and about a 50 minute drive from Bar Harbor (although it's only about 10 miles away as the crow flies.) The property was very clean and well equipped with a full kitchen, living room with TV, and a separate bedroom with two queen beds. Internet access was excellent. We found it comfortable and quiet, and a nice relaxing spot to spend a couple of days while exploring coastal Maine.

My girlfriends and I stayed at this adorable unit for a long-weekend trip to Arcadia National Park.
Although this is an hour drive from a lot of the attractions of the park and the famed Bar Harbor, we fell in love with the locals of the area's kindness & hospitality, as well as the serene and quiet of the northside of Arcadia which has an entrance right down the road. This unit is right across the street from a gas station/grocery store (think NYC-bodega), and two local eateries - the Pickled Wrinkle and Me & Ben's Dairy Creme. Both of these places are always busy with customers, and the customer service cannot be beat (nor the blueberry ice cream at Ben's).
Other than the location being a surprise for a small town, the unit itself is quiet and feels like a home-away-from-home; just make sure to bring your own soap & shampoo/conditioner for the shower & bath. The unit is nicely decorated, and the pull-out couch is comfortable (and user-approved).
Thank you to the host for making our stay just as advertised :)

Truely enjoyed our stay at your property. It had everything we needed and it was a nice location. Close to a market if we needed anything, restaurants across and down the road, and icecream for a wonderful treat. Schoodic was close and beautiful to explore. Unfortunately, tropical storn Phillippe cut our visit to the area short. We definitely recommend this property.

My husband, myself, and four boys ranging in age from 4 to 16 stayed here in order to visit Winter Harbor and bar Harbor. The apartment was perfect for what we needed and offered plenty of space for the six of us to sleep. A much better alternative to a hotel! Close to Acadia/Schoodic Point, and plenty of restaurant options. We also appreciated the option of being able to bring our own food for a couple of meals.

Property was clean, check in was easy and our stay was great. It was a nice quiet place close to the Schoodic portion of Acadia. Perfect for our needs!

Perfect location for our short 3-days visiting Acadia National Park and Acadia Puffin Cruise. Property was clean, loved the decor which was appropriate for the area, well equipped, comfortable beds and convenient with a gas station/store, restaurant and ice cream shop all across the street. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck of our unit at night and looking at the stars. Would definitely come back again.

Had a great stay! The location is perfect for easy access to food and fuel and an easy ferry ride to Bar Harbor. Thoughtful touches made it very comfortable. Will definitely be back!

This was a perfect spot to cook dinners, spend quality time together, play guitar, and eat breakfast on the porch in beautiful Downeast Maine. Living room was spacious enough to set up an air mattress we brought in addition to the couch, so we all slept comfortably.

Very nice, but for six people needed a little more Bathroom Tissue than rolls. Other wise it was good.

We absolutely loved our stay in Birch Harbor. This unit had everything we needed for my wife and I and three children (ages 17-23).
We spent every evening on Schoodic Point away from the craziness of Bar Harbor. The convenience of having a nice restaurant, super market, and ice cream shop right across the street was a nice plus too! We found the Lobstore about 8 minutes away midway through our stay and brought steamed lobsters home for every meal the last two nights.
I can’t say enough about how pleased I am that we found this hidden gem. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Impressed with the space. A little out of the way location wise, but we didn’t feel it with the MC market, me and Bens creamery and Pickled Wrinkle across the street. Description was accurate.

The property was exactly as listed. Everything was clean and ready for us. Danielle made the checkin process seamless. For our family of 5, unit 4 was perfect. The location cannot be better is you love the Acadia. And everything Birch Harbor has to offer. The Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia was our favorite. Easy access and you can travel through the park to see everything at high tide, low tide, sunrise, sunset. When we come back to Acadia we will be visiting this property again. Thank you Danielle!

We drove up to Maine to sightsee and visit the New England states. We had an amazing time even though it was rainy and cloudy. The house we rented was great and the ice cream across the road was amazing. We especially loved the fresh blueberry sundae. We will definitely be back.

If you don't mind being a little way away from the main Acadia park, this Vrbo is a great location at a fraction the cost of Bar Harbor. Also near Schoodic point. Danielle was friendly and communicative, the property was clean and spacious. Great place!

This location was exceptional. We are talking hotel style amenities. I have rented a lot of properties in my day but none as well thought out as this location. The property itself is literally across the street from a grocery, gas station, ice cream store and one of the cutest restaurants in the area. It's a 5 min drive from the other side of Acadia National Park which I personally liked more than the Bar Harbor entrance. We spoke to many residents of this neighborhood all were incredibly friendly and warm. The house has an immediate feeling of cleanliness and special touches that are apparent. EVERYTHING YOU NEED is there outside of small kitchen items that you would need for cooking but this is common so plan ahead. Let's talk laundry, there is an entire dedicated separated laundry room downstairs that is setup with a lounge! We felt quite at home and frankly didn't want to go back to our apt in NYC. This unit is a MUST!!!

The property was great and had everything we needed. It is located very close to the Schoodic part of Acadia, which we really enjoyed ( it is very beatiful and much less busy than the main part of the park). Hoping to stay here again in the future!

We we’re delighted to find this little gem when we decided to extend our stay in Maine!
Clean and spacious with comfy beds! There is a sweet deck outside overlooking the meadows and trees below. We appreciated the ice maker and laundry options, too!!
The location is great for day trips. And across the street is the Pickled Wrinkle restaurant and Me and Ben’s ice cream!! Amazing blueberry soft serve!

My brother, 12-year old daughter & I stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a fantastic time! The weather was perfect (low 70’s and 50’s at night)! We hiked the Bubbles and Jordan Pond loop on our first day as well as ended the day with popovers and tea at Jordan Pond House. We also did the Bar Island hike which was really neat…found the old house foundation from 100’s of years ago! We also did the Giant Slide Loop hike and enjoyed the views from atop Gilmore Peak! This hike was amazing as you traversed up Sargent Brook and even went through caves which was incredible! Lots of fun!
We biked the Birch Harbor Mountain bike path and did about 7 miles on a beautiful carriage road! The views atop Birch Harbor Mountain are beautiful. Very fun ride!
We enjoyed Me & Ben’s Ice Cream and were able to get a few needed items at the gas station/convenience store across the street from the condo. The condo is very comfortable and spacious with 2 queen-sized beds and a pull-out sofa in the living room. It was very clean and comfortable. We cooked breakfast on the Blackstone flattop (gas, bacon, and pancakes)! Delicious! A few kitchen items would be helpful….baking dish for the oven, utensils for the flattop (thankfully I brought my own from home since I have a flattop too), more spoons, and spices. There is no kitchen table but we enjoyed sitting at the island to eat or out on the wooden glider on the porch. A picnic table would be a nice addition to enjoy the yard. The fire pit is beautiful although we did not find the time to use it. We also enjoyed the Keurig coffees/teas/hot cocoa and the popcorn bucket with goodies in it. We left some extra goodies for others to enjoy as well :)
Danielle was quick to respond before, during, and after our stay. She is very kind and made a great host! Thank you very much, Danielle! We look forward to coming to Unit 4 again :)

This is a great location for Schoodic Peninsula. You are just minutes from the Schoodic side of Acadia National Park. Directly across the street is an awesome restaurant - The Pickled Wrinkle - , a great ice cream place - Me and Ben's Dairy Creme (just know what you want before you get to the window!) - and a gas station. This was the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. Danielle was quick to respond to any questions we had. Although the set up is unique (one large bedroom only accessible through the room with the shower) our family of 5 made it work in spite of it's quirks. Please note that the washer and dryer is shared with the other building tenants. (I believe it is a 4-plex.) You access the room with the washer and dryer by walking around to the back of the building. (Apparently we unwittingly jumped ahead of another tenant in doing a load of laundry on our last night. We apologized but had no idea.)

Very easy check in, very clean, very good location for a rural area, and for a reasonable price.

This property was a real pleasure. Super clean, well provisioned and a fabulous location. It was so easy to ride our nikes in Acadia National Park. Plenty of great lobster and seafood nearby (try The Wharf in Corea!). Danielle was quick to respond to any questions. We would definately stay here again.

Brand new place across the street from ice cream shop
This is a brand new (just remodeled) condo (looks like may have been a house in the past). Very clean. Comfortable beds. Great location for visiting Schoodic peninsula. Right across the street is a very nice restaurant and a cute ice cream shop. About an hour from Bar Harbor. Listing says couch bed fits one adult, but both me and my wife fit on it fine.
