Mark was great to work with, very accommodating. Mark was very informative before we arrived. One thing i would suggest, If you have health issues or breathing issues please let him know ahead of time especially if you have sensitivity to chemicals. Thanks for a great stay and your hospitality.

Property in a wooded, hilly neighborhood with lots of trees. Between Johnson City and Jonesborough. Mark and Audrey were perfect hosts. Apartment well furnished. A little larger kitchen would have been helpful. Only negative was needed some cleaning: woodwork, etc.

My husband was working in the area and we wanted him to be able to be more comfortable than a hotel would be. We came across this place and gave it a shot. Let me tell you, WE COULDNT be happier. Mark and his wife made Kevin feel like he was part of the family right away. The place is very clean and well kept. The hosts were very nice and even offered my husband dinner and made sure he didn’t need anything from the store when they were going. They have a knack for giving you your privacy all while making sure your stay is going well. It is very quiet and peaceful there, all while being close to anything u may need.x the bed was oh so comfortable, and the grounds are awesome to walk around. Their pets are babies who love to greet you when you come home from a long day of work just to say hi. If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like HOME, this is it!!!

I was in Johnson City due to a family emergency. My son had had a nasty motorcycle accident near the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. Johnson City was the closest level 1 trauma center so that's where he was air lifted to. I made this last minute reservation to be near the hospital. The hosts bent over backwards to accommodate me. They met me in the driveway with a fun welcoming committee (the family dogs). I love animals, and these dogs were friendly and enjoyable. They barked for a minute, but never jumped on me. The hosts helped me carry my stuff in. They gave me a tour of the apartment and made sure I had everything I needed. They encouraged me and checked on how things were going at the hospital if they saw me outside. Otherwise, they gave me complete privacy. There are some repairs and construction happening on the property, but the hosts have supplies stacked neatly out of the walking path. There is a safe and clear pathway to the apartment's back door. The hosts are rebuilding the steps to the front door. The inside of the apartment was perfectly clean and nicely decorated. Live houseplants were a nice touch and made the space feel like home. The bed was quite comfortable. I felt well cared for and safe at their place. If I'm ever in Johnson City again, I would stay with them. Very nice and sincere people.

This is a "mother-in-law" apartment attached to a house with another non-VRBO rental unit. It did not feel very private because the landlord did not want to give us a key, so the doors were left unlocked when we were not there. Also, several windows did not have shades, so people on the property could see in. There was a large street light outside the bedroom window and the sheers on the windows let in enough light at night to seem like daylight. The second night, the landlord offered to duct-tape some black-out shades over the windows. The shades had all fallen off my morning and we did not ask for them to be put up. We bought sleep masks for the light. After the first day's showers, the tub was not draining and filling with water. We bought our own drain cleaner to dissolve hair clogs and the drainage was better the second day. The landlord is in the process of digging and moving earth near the apartment to make a "grotto". There was no noise from this, but some people might not like the look of the construction near the apartment. The landlord has several dogs that barked at us every time we drove up or left, but they did not offer to bite. Some people might be nervous with the barking. The floor layout is a little odd. There is no direct access to the bathroom from the bedroom. There is a sliding pocket door that goes from the bedroom to the kitchen where you can get to the bathroom. The pocket door does not slide easily and opens only half-way in the door opening. You have to squeeze through the opening to pass. One good items is a large hi-def smart TV in the bedroom with included Netflix. There is no TV in the living room. The owners were friendly, but several upgrades need to be finished before it is a highly-rated property.
