About this cottage rental
Charming Wolfeboro Winnipesaukee waterfront cottage in the heart of antique boat land - as seen in the UK Guardian newspaper. Direct access to main lake via Wolfeboro bridge. In the summer watch the gorgeous wooden boats cruise by or the Wolfeboro water ski team jump and slalom in our Back Bay. Our deck overlooks the waterway that leads out to main lake so its fun watching the various types of water-craft. Wolfeboro center is 5 minute walk or 2 minutes food shopping by boat. We often kayak over for groceries and tie up at the Back Bay docks close to the shops. Enjoy an evening cruise by boat to one of 3 local restaurants that have docks. Dock for up to 20ft boat and use of small sail boat. New for this season one of the new fun paddle boards! Give it a try, maybe even take a paddle board yoga class that runs daily by the town docks in the summer. 5 very nice kayaks & 2 canoes are included for you to use. We also have a paddle boat and for those who know how to sail , a Sunfish sail boat! Great fishing, lots of fun for kids.
If you are planning to bring or rent a boat, it will need to be able to pass under the bridge to our bay to have access to our dock. Goodhue Hawkins is the only rental Marina in Wolfeboro and if 5 minutes by car. You can keep the boat at their dock if it won't fit to access ours. Easy launching ramp and trailer parking close by. If you have any questions regarding the boat you'd like to bring or one you'd like to rent, please ask before instant booking. We own a 20ft Four Winns Bowrider and we clear easily.
Lovely green lawn down to the lake front with great fire pit for evening campfires. Space enough for tent if desired. Wonderful bike path that leads to beach and tennis courts just across the bay. Choice of 3 local beaches and we include two passes on our notice board for you to access and park at all three of them.
In the Fall from Thanksgiving through the Winter the private 4 person hot tub is open for use. In Winter snowmobile or cross country ski right from the front door. Skiing and fabulous outlet shopping 45 minutes in North Conway.

The weather was perfect! Cool nights & warm days! Our favorite adventures during our stay were seeing the beaver in the early morning by the lakeside; catching lots of fish; kayaking; roasting marshmallows on the camp fire at night; swimming and of course just relaxing in the swing on the porch! The location is great; walking distance to town. With all the fun things to do right here at the cottage and the bay, we didn't have to leave! We'd love to return again!

The weather was fantastic! Sunny and warm for all but two of our days. Our favorite adventures during our stay were our daily walks into town and the walking trail around the bay. The outdoor shower - absolutely wonderful!! We even checked out the Hospital Aid Fair on Saturday. Several of us also drove to Lincoln NH for the Alpine Sip Line adventure - great fun! Oh, and not to forget the round of golf at Kingswood golf course down the street. We enjoyed eating at the Wolfetrap after reading all the positive reviews from other guests in the cottage guest book. We really had a great week - and particularly enjoyed the KUBB game we found on the porch. Great for fun in the afternoon after a swim. Albee Beach on Lake Wentworth was another great excursion - especially for the children!

My husband, 3 year old daughter and I enjoyed our stay! The house is in close distance to many shops and restaurants. Unfortunately our boat couldn’t fit under the bridge through Back Bay but Dee made us aware of that possibility before we came.

Great location wonderful property

We enjoyed this property so much especially having paddle boards, canoes and kayaks available to explore the beautiful lake. The view from the house was wonderful. Communication with the owner was seamless.
1.0 / 5.0
It was a horrible experience. There were these tiny bugs that had infested the porch. We kept finding them on people in the house including our 3 mo. old. We left early because we were disgusted with the situation. Management of the property refused to give me a refund. We only stayed 2 nights of a 5 night vacation.

The house itself was very cute, clean. Communication with Dee was seamless. However, this is a back bay property, not on the lake. It is a short walk to town but has a very clear view of a parking lot. We had rented a boat for the week thinking we’d dock at the house rentals dock (as advertised in the listing) however we could not get the boat to the back bay because the bridge was too low. Fortunately the boat rental company was able to dock it for us but we had to go back and forth from the house to the marina to use the boat.
If you’re just looking to explore the area and aren’t interested in boating I’d say this is a good spot assuming you don’t want to feel secluded. If you’re boating Id recommend a property that is on the actual lake.

The house was as described, very clean, nicely decorated, great location - walking distance to town, yet very private and peaceful. Loved having the boats and access to the water. Owner was very communicative and pleasant to deal with. Would love to stay again sometime.

My family had a wonderful experience with this rental. Walking distance to Main street shops and restaurants. Boat dock next door for rentals. full amenities with the home. Kayaks and swim platform in lake, and fire pit for S'mores were so much fun.

Everything was as shown and stated. Beds were much better than expected. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. We sat around the fire pit pone evening. We walked into town and that was great. Ate a variety of restaurants and enjoyed them all. Recommend that you make reservation stop early for weekend dining.
Rainy day drove to LL Bean and a beach. Not as far as we thought. Enjoyed our stay very much."

This was the quintessential summer getaway! Kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, and games all kept everyone happy. Walk or boat to town docks for lots of things to do or just hang out in the spectacular backyard which is located on the bay! Super clean home with everything you need to make fabulous memories.

It’s a great little cottage ! The kayaks and canoes were accessible to use. But, swimming was somewhat of a challenge - the dock was not accessible due to the excessive rain .
We did go to Albee Beach with the beach passes that the owner provides .
It’s a cute little town and accessible by walking - fun stores and great lobster rolls at Marker 21!
Overall a fun, relaxing trip!

We were thrilled with the house - perfect for a few of us even with some rainy days. But when the sun came out then it really became transcendent. We loved swimming and kayaking and walking into town! Thank you so much for the easy check in and communication as well. We’d love to come back!!

The property is within walking distance from town and Dee was very communicative during our stay. I wish we could have enjoyed the canoes and kayaks, but we were there for a quick weekend trip for a wedding. The place is cozy and just what we needed for the weekend we had planned.

We enjoyed being on the lake and seeing the water skiers. Also enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat, and firepit. Well equipped unit. Beautiful location.

Originally took us awhile to figure out the property is on Back Bay, important to know re: boat access to main lake via bridge, but great location close to town, trails, fun on the water, dog heaven.

The cottage was really cute and decorated nicely. It had all the essentials. The property location is excellent, with great lake access and walkability to downtown Wolfeboro. Working with the owner was really easy and pleasant.

The this cottage was a great stay. While it wasn’t totally clear that the location is on the Back Bay to Lake Winnepesaukee the house was more than comfortable for our group of 5, extremely clean and relatively close to downtown Wolfsboro. The owners were great and extremely responsive, the outdoor deck was expansive and lawn was large. We loved having our dog with us and the fire pit was a real hit. We ate outside every day on the deck under the gazebo. Definitely a nice spot.

Clean home with a great view and location to shops and restaurants. The only negative (that was my own fault) is not knowing alot of the activities don't start for the summer until after July 1st. Most are open on the weekends after Memorial Day. I booked Monday through Friday so I missed alot. This all just means I'll have to go back! :) Owner was great with any communication.

We had a great stay at this property, perfect for Wolfeboro region. All the extras including the kayaks/boats/bicycles/etc. were great. Easy to get in and out. Definitely recommend. We will be back next year hopefully to stay longer.

Absolutely a wonderful location and property! So peaceful and quiet. The house was quite clean and the kayaks and paddle boards to use made the lake so enjoyable!

We had a wonderful time in Wolfeboro. We enjoyed relaxing on the expansive front deck looking over the yard to the lake. We would like to return during the summer to enjoy swimming, and boating with the large assortment of kayaks and canoes available for use.

Everything was exactly like the listing- house was right near town, a quick 15 minute walk- the house was great & cozy
2.5 / 5.0
-The house was in great condition
-It can sleep up to 8 but gets a bit crowded if everyone is in the living room or kitchen area at once. It would probably be best for 4 or 5 adults (our group was 7).
-The yard was awesome, tons of space and great for games
-There is lot to do in town, restaurants, stores and breweries all at a short 5-10 min walk
-The only slightly disappointing part was access to the actual lake. There technically is access to the main lake under a bridge, but there is only about 4 feet of clearance. So if you had plans to bring a boat to use on the main lake and dock it at the house, it most likely isn't possible and wasn't for our group. The location the map shows makes it seem like the house is on the corner of the main lake but its actually in the small bay in the back. The water there was calm and still fun to use, just not exactly the stay on the lake you may be looking for.
-Overall it was a nice experience and Dee and Jason were great to rent from. They were very easy to communicate with/ responsive.

Place was great no issues ne and my friends enjoyed our stay

Had a lovely week in Wolfeboro with my husband, our 2 children (age 3 and 6), and our dog. For ease of review I jotted a few pros and cons explaining why I didn't give 5 stars as many previous renters had.
Pros:
-The cottage was charming and very lovely, had everything one would need or want in a rental.
-Great selection of water "toys", we had a fun using canoe, kayak, and SUP
-Dock and platform were my children's favorite for jumping off and fishing
-Walked into town/great restaurants, bonus!
Cons
-This is NOT on Lake Winnipesaukee. Nor is there a view of the main lake from the house. To advertise as such is misleading and false. The Bay that it is on, however, is very nice & the calm water was perfect for my younger children. We had a great time but I feel the listing would be more appropriately titled "Bay Waterfront in Wolfeboro"
-The shallow, sandy beach area of the rental was filled with broken glass. I pulled out large amounts of broken beer bottles and jagged glass growlers nearly every day. The homeowner was apologetic when I sent her photos and explained it sometimes happens but hasn't in a while. The glass may just come in with the ebb and flow of the water from other parts of the bay/lake. A sign is posted indicating "no bare feet, glass has been seen". That is not a suggestion, you absolutely must wear water shoes when entering water. Be mindful of small children and dogs. Every day I removed at least a handful of large shards of glass and shattered portions of beer bottles/growlers. That was really disappointing considering this was a private home.
-In the booking it states max guests is 8 people, also indicates a guest fee when you scroll through some of rate information. Through our booking process we discovered a "guest fee" for our children (reminder, we are a family of four). I was told the base rate is "based on 2 guests". This communication occurred after I had initiated the rental request and my first payment was due. Frustrating that the home can have 8 guests but you’re charged a guest fee if you have more than 2 people staying there.
I took stars off for lack of transparency regarding location and fees as well as broken glass in beach area. We had a great time but those were big issues that detracted from my experience.

We so enjoyed our time here. Took our 3 young boys and they had a blast with the kayaks, paddle boards and s’mores at the fire pit nightly. The property is beautiful and Dee and Jason are lovely and very accommodating. Beds were very comfortable , cottage has everything one would need. Can’t wait to go back!

We decided to have our honeymoon in Wolfeboro. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. It was perfect for us and our dog to enjoy the backyard and lake. Nice walk into town, yet on the quiet back bay. We would definitely stay here again!

5 of us in the family ages 35+ and my little dog 6 lbs enjoyed all the property had to offer. We had a camp fire each night. The weather was perfect. My son went out in a in a kayak each morning fishing. There were 3 and a pedalboat and 2 canoes. My husband and I used the canoe. We also used the paddleboard. We used the bikes on the beautiful bike path starting at the train station in town, which you could ride or walk to. I am making a scrapbook to remember all the fun we had together.PS The house was cute and comfortable with everything you could possibly need.

Process was fine. Kitchen was definitely a one person kitchen. Could not be at the sink and have someone open the refrigerator. Plenty of water crafts to enjoy. Located next to a marina. Fun to sit on the deck and watch the boats come and go during the day Saturday.

Great proximity to town, lovely lawn and water access. Perfect for our stay- just a caution Re: steep stairs up to bedrooms- not for everyone
