About this cottage rental
3 bedroom authentic cottage with a lot of characteristics. Great location, walking distance to Scarborough State Beach, short drive to Port of Galilee which is one of the most active fishing ports in the East Coast and also where you can catch a ferry ride to a gem called Block Island. Scarborough section is located in the Town of Narragansett which has been voted one of the best beach towns in New England. This house is family owned which gives that extra touch.

3 minute walk to the beach, comfortable, clean and quiet

Can’t beat this location. 5 minute walk to Scarborough! We’ve stayed here twice as it fills all our beach trip needs. Sheila is very responsive to any requests.

Narraganset is an amazing place to vacation. Unfortunately we were less than impressed by this VRBO experience. The house was not very clean when we arrived, lots of sand and lots of dust. The indoor shower didn’t look like it had been cleaned at all. No linens were provided which the host did tell me through message but that is not on the listing at all. The 3rd bedroom (the one with 2 twins) is not a bedroom but a loft. I wanted my kids to sleep there but it was tricky because they could hear all downstairs noise. Only one burner on the stove worked properly and the other houses are SO close you can hear all the noise. the location cannot be beat though

This was an adorable cottage that we stayed in. Sheila was very quick with her response when I reached out to her. The cottage had everything we needed for our weekend stay. I would definitely rent this again.

Very nice and user friendly cottage. Well kept up and nice yard and grill. Ability to park and just walk to the beach is a major plus, as is the outdoor shower. Would happily book again.

Lovely lodging 2 blocks from the beach in beautiful Narragansett, RI! Sheila was a great and communicative host promptly responding to our messages and getting us set up for a pleasant stay. Outside shower was a real highlight! Great space highly recommend!

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, etc. Location was fantastic. Easy walk down the street to Scarborough Beach. I love that the owners have kept the feel of a quaint beach cottage. One warning, though. The only bathroom has a clawfoot tub. This was ok for us, but would have been challenging for my elderly parents to step over the tall side and up to use the shower

This is a great property. The cottage is quaint and cozy, it has a beautiful yard and deck area for dining. The outdoor shower was a plus after a long day at the beach. It’s in the perfect location, a short drive to the supermarket and restaurants, and a 5 min walk to the beach. This cottage was perfect and it met all our needs. We would definitely consider renting this property again.

Our stay was great for what we were looking for. Lose to the beach. Had the necessities and was close to everything else we needed.

We have been returning to these cottages as a family year after year. This is a prime location about a block off the beach. After a short walk, you are at the ocean with your feet in the sand, close to bathrooms and food and souvenir vendors. The house is small and older, but it provides a comfortable place to relax, cook your food, and relax. The window unit air conditioners help keep it cool without the humidity.
The property managers are responsive and reasonable.

Everything was clean and just what I needed for my daughters 13th birthday beach day with 2 of her friends.

The house was cute and location was great. It fit our needs perfectly.
The only unfortunate thing was the downstairs bed box spring was broken and extremely uncomfortable, so we removed the box spring and slept on mattress on the floor, it was all good and we understood that unless you laid on the bed one would never know it was broken so we did not see the need to be angry about the situation. Shelia was understanding and apologetic about the situation. We did not ask for any compensation for the situation sense we believe Shelia did not even know it was broken. We would absolutely stay there again.

Great location that is a short walk to a really nice beach. Cottage is cute with a nice outdoors area and a vintage feel inside. A great base for exploring the Narragansett area!

The property was clean and well stocked with cooking pots and pans. The beach location and access to the Block Island Ferry were also great. Good restaurants within a short drive. Sheila was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our messages. Only negative was that we were informed that we needed to bring our own linens AFTER we made our reservation but it was not a huge problem as we were driving--would have been different if we were flying in from another part of the country. Property is best suited to two adults and children, not four adults although the four adults in our party did just fine.

Stayed 2 nights to celebrate my daughter's graduation from URI. The cottage was just what we needed to leave our things, change outfits & sleep each night.

The property was just as advertised. It was a quaint cottage with many original features including a farm sink and clawed-foot tub. The cottage was perfect for our small family and was ideally located near the state beach, which my kids loved. The amenities provided were good for a small cottage, but also included window A/C units which were a must for a week in August. The outside shower was great! This cottage is rustic and does not include a dishwasher. Also the TVs were small but did have cable TV.

This was great. Just the right size for 4 adults and 2 kids. Be aware you need to bring all your own sheets, blankets, and towels—I didn’t see this mentioned in the listing but luckily asked the host before we left our house so I avoided having to buy some there. Wifi internet worked great.

Classic New England beach house that was a 2 minute walk to the beach! Sheila was an extremely helpful host and made everything super easy and well communicated. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a beach getaway!

First of all, the owner was wonderful to deal with, very responsive. Location is great, just two blocks from the beach, easy to walk there. However, those were the only good things. The house was dirty (surface-level cleaning was fine in bathroom and kitchen), but there were cobwebs everywhere, and thick layers of dust on the fans, A/C, etc. And everything was falling apart- all of the doorknobs throughout the house, and all dresser/cabinet knobs were falling off. We couldn't shut the bathroom door because the knob would fall apart. Beds were uncomfortable. For the price, we expected a little bit better.

Great location for our family. Walking distance to Scarborough Beach, was convenient with our infant daughter. Convenience store/gas station at the other end of the street also in walking distance. Nice to have the tub, though the rest of us used the outdoor shower. Water pressure could have been better. Hot water heater was very loud. We did have one issue while we were there. We were told that there would be a propane grill for us to use prior to our arrival, and when we went to use it on my husband’s birthday, it did not light. Contacted property owner and were told we would be brought a charcoal grill, which was a resolution, however, we did have to assemble it. We weren’t overly thrilled about this while on vacation, however, the owner did provide a resolution. Only ended up grilling one night, and brought home the rest of the food we planned on grilling. Overall, reasonable price for the location, a few minor blips, but overall, our stay was okay.

You can see the ocean, very short walk to beach. Loved the big, airy, open dining room-living room area. nice private outdoor shower. I actually never used the indoor shower. place was clean, but comfortably broken in. I would stay here again, and hope to be able to.

Stayed here with family and we love the beach, it was just two blocks away, so this was the idyllic place for us. There were 5 of us including a 3 yr old and the size of the cottage was perfect. The cottage was really clean and well cared for. We will come again I'm sure. Thank you Sheila!!
