Great little cabin. Loved hearing the river nearby. Small, but well equipped kitchen. We brought food that we were able to reheat and enjoy in the evening after visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon. The air conditioner did a nice job keeping the cabin cool, despite temps getting up into the triple digits during our stay. Easy parking just in front of the cabin.

Property is conveniently located a few miles from the Park entrance. It is set up like a "duplex" sharing a wall with an adjacent cabin. Privacy was provided on the back deck with latticed dividers. Up far enough from the river to not worry about flooding with snow melt. Close enough to hear the rushing water and see it from the deck and a great mountain view. The deck is located out the kitchen door. The kitchen has a small fridge, stove/oven...plenty of dishes and cookware for two people. The host, Pam, was very accessible and accommodating. We were there 2 nights at the end of April. The day we traveled up to the General Grant area had some rain, hail, and light snow which became treacherous driving on the 7000 ft. descent back down the mountain. When traveling there in spring,ALWAYS be prepared for these changing weather conditions. Temperatures that day went from the mid 40's down to 32* very quickly as we climbed. We were thankful we had brought our warm winter clothing, coats, boots, hats, etc.It was also close to a couple very good restaurants.Oh, and be sure to have a full tank of gas before you go up as you might have times waiting in long lines.

Location was great.
Bath sink stopped up and very slow drain.
Cold water in bath sink doesn't work.
All floors were nasty sticky.
Repairs and updates are DIY quality.
Lots of earwigs, floors, luggage, bed, yuck.
Bed was horrible: big sink in middle and slopes from feet to head.
No deadbolt on front door.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is just outside the entrance to Sequoia National Park. The cabin owners kept in contact with me when necessary. The cabin is small and quaint.

Liked the back porch and the sound of the river. The rest was over rated, way smaller than picture shows. Not romantic, needs updated. Noisy air conditioner over the head of the bed. Many crawling bugs on the floor.

Cons: The water went out the 1st day we got there. After a 4 hour road trip all i wanted was a refreshing shower, unfortunately the water went out in the middle of my shower. Even the kitchen had no water. I emailed the prop manager and they NEVER got back to me. Fortunately the water came back later that night.
Pros: The cabin was even cuter than in the pictures. It's location made it easy to drive up to Sequoia for day trips and to town to get something to eat. Also 10 minutes drive to Slick Rock for a swim in the creek. The cabin has a cute little private yard space and a nice porch in the back with a fire pit. Also there are steps in the back of the house that lead to the creek behind the property! I would recommend.

Overall, this was a nice place. It is a cabin in the woods, very quiet saw wildlife and cool trail to the river. Really liked the outdoor deck and gas fire pit.The bathroom sink and shower drains extremely slow. The shower drain was so slow and you'd see dirt and would need to take a fast shower so not to step in the dirty water. Bathroom outlet not working properly. Nice having a store across the street. We did enjoy our stay and our time in the parks.

A outdoor fireplace/fire pit was excellent idea even though the starter was not working due to an old and dead battery. The bathroom was not completely functioning.. :(
Otherwise it was a okay cabin with a pricey tag.

This cabin which is like a duplex was all we needed. Just perfect. We spent our evenings eating our home-made dinners on the back porch listening to the rustle of leaves from the trees and hearing in the distance the river . After dinner we did some star gazing and my husband took photographs of the night sky.

The cabin is less than two miles away from the park entrance and is one of the best stocked rentals I’ve ever stayed in. The bed was super comfortable which goes a long way when you’ve been hiking all day. Absolutely recommend!

The cabin was in a nice location as far as visiting Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Parks, but that’s really the only positive. The property was very old and in need of updating: very old and sagging mattress, the outlet in the bathroom was loose and the hairdryer would only work if it was held firmly in place, which obviously was a problem, (And wasn’t grounded), there didn’t seem to be a smoke detector, and the worst part was that there were tiny flies EVERYWHERE. They were all over the towels, clinging to the shower curtain, etc. There was light coming in around the door, so I’m assuming they may be getting in that way. There was no communication as far as how to check out, so we just washed our dishes and assumed that was okay. We stayed the next night in a beautiful inn in the heart of Carmel, CA, for a significantly cheaper price. I wouldn’t consider staying in the cabin again.

LOVE this place. You are right at the entrance to Sequoia. The cabin was cute and perfect for our stay. There was a deck and a fire pit. Great back-drop for our visit. The kitchen was perfect for cooking breakfast. The Totem Market and Grilll was excellent You must see Wyatt at the Totem.. He is GREAT. He suggested the Trip tips, but they had just sold out. We had BBQ sandwich and went back the next night for trip-tips(Wyatt saved us a plate). Would stay there again. Just the perfect amount of space, you don't spend much time in your VRBO if you are seeing the parks. Kings canyon was a SUPRISE... WOW. So beautiful-deepest canyon in the US.. Just not a big as Grand Canyon... 5 stars..

My wife and I had a nice stay at this location. The proximity was what we were looking for. We ran into one problem when we arrived in that the cabin was not cleaned when we were to check in. Since there is no phone service in this location, I needed to log onto a wireless signal and use a wireless connection to call the contact person. The room we cleaned later and the manager offered to compensate us for the mistake by buying us the evening meal next door at the Totem. We were overall pleased with the cabin.
