Cozy 1 bedroom suite in home off famed Bellevue Avenue.
Close to shopping, the harbor, restaurants and a short walk to the beach at Easton's and Cliff Walk. Off street parking and you can walk everywhere. Everything you need to relax and unwind.
Please note- Shared entrance with homeowners but private accommodations. As a proud family of WWII Navy submariner, we offer a discount for Navy officers and enlisted attending Naval War College. Great property within easy walking distance to harbor, shops, restaurants, museums and other attractions. Enjoyed visiting with the owners and learning a bit about the history of the place. They were very attentive to making sure any needs we might have had were met. Highly recommend!

Hosts Donna & Robert were wonderful and accommodating during our long weekend stay in Newport for our son’s wedding. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable, and the surrounding area was lovely, quiet, and within walking distance to the Viking hotel and Bellevue Ave shops. We would definitely stay again. Donna and Robert also took us on tour of their home with all its history and shared era appropriate upgrades and timelines. Very warm and tasteful. Steve & Kathy

Our stay with Donna was all one can hope for. Thoughtful, hospitable, and kind, she made sure all of our needs and more were attended to. The space was perfect and the ambiance very cozy. The location allowed for quick and easy access to all the attractions we were hoping to experience. I would certainly come back again!

Charming, cozy, quiet neighborhood and clean. Beautiful and so comfortable home away from home set up- from the Keurig for morning coffee to the very comfortable beds/pillows/duvets. The hosts ( and pups ! ) were incredibly welcoming and cordial. Very much enjoyed sharing some wine and conversation with our hosts. VRBO is right in heart of town, within walking distance to most everything.

Our hosts went above and beyond in every detail of our stay! The rental property was stunning, spacious, clean and near absolutely everything you’d want in town. They were happy to provide recommendations for eating and activities and were just the nicest, most gracious people. Our trip would not have been as great without us staying here! 12/10 recommend!!

“Lovely home, with gracious hosts that went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. Beautiful top floor setup with a spacious bedroom, private bathroom, and living space. Home is located only minutes away from downtown Newport and hosts were helpful, offering great restaurant/activity recommendations. Definitely would stay there again!”

We loved our stay here. Donna and Robert are fantastic hosts. Kind, thoughtful, and accommodating. The apt was very well-equipped, comfortable and clean. The location for enjoying Newport is also great. Quiet neighborhood, and close enough for us to bike anywhere we wanted to be. Highly recommended!

My friend and I stayed here for the Filk Festival. The location was great for walking into town. There was ample space, comfy beds, lovely bath, and linens. The 3rd floor location would be challenging if you have any motility limitations, but otherwise not an issue. Donna and Robert were excellent hosts!

Donna and Robert were so accommodating and made the trip super easy for us! I wasn't totally aware that we would be sharing the space but honestly it was perfect and we had our own private bathroom, room, living room, etc. Will def be coming back!

First trip to Newport and won't be the last to either the town of Newport or the 'Top of the Hill'. Our hosts Donna and Robert could not be anymore inviting or accommodating. The third floor apartment was spacious, inviting, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The location was convenient to the harbor, Easton Beach and to many inviting bistros, coffee shops and restaurants. All within easy walking distance of the 'Top of the Hill'. We bicycled all around Newport and saw many properties where we could have stayed, and are pleased that we chose 'Top of the Hill' and will be returning sooner than later.

This is the first review I have written and I could not miss writing a review for our stay at Top of the Hill. Donna was an incredible host! She is so accommodating and thoughtful. She left chocolate treats for us to enjoy when we returned back to the apartment one night. The apartment is perfect and beautiful! Extremely clean and much larger than expected. Great location in the center of Newport, can walk to many areas in town. If I could give Donna 6 stars I would!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Love Donna's decorating flare! Apartment had all the amenities and should we have forgotten anything, Donna had it! Home was walking distance (if you enjoy walking) to all points of interest - Cliff Walk, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops (Nitro was our favorite and 2 blocks from the house). Donna and Robert are wonderful hosts! We will be back!

My husband and I stayed at Top of the Hill in early October and had an amazing time. The pictures of Donna's apartment don't really do it justice - she has amazing taste (you'd think she was a professional decorator) and the apt is beautiful and has everything you'd need - including a parking spot on premises. The apartment's central location makes most things walkable (restaurants, The Wharf, The Cliff walk, etc.). Donna was a joy to interact with: giving us GREAT restaurant recommendations and was so thoughtful (she left us delicious chocolates to celebrate our anniversary). I highly recommend this apt and look forward to getting back there soon

This was my first stay in Newport. Donna's home is in a perfect location, so much is in walking distance there is no need to drive. The space is bright, airy, nicely decorated and private. Donna was so helpful with advice and suggestions. She went out of her way to ensure we had a great time. I looking forward to coming back to Newport and staying at the Top of the Hill again. A great spot with access to everything! Donna was great, communicative and even put our champagne for our arrival to celebrate our special weekend. The apartment was clean, quiet, and perfect for our weekend.
