Huge garage to play and party in with a bar and many games in the garage that is big enough for everyone. We were there in the springtime and the weather can sometimes not cooperate but with the big game area there is always something to do. The owner was very responsive. The area is a neat area with many attractions around for all ages.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hurley Hut. Great location, clean, and comfortable! Just a short drive to great hiking, biking, and exploring all the little towns in Leelanau County. The entire lower level is a play room for kids and adults. It kept us all entertained on the cold rainy days during our stay. Jeff was also very responsive to all our questions. We would definitely consider coming back maybe during warmer weather to be able to enjoy the lake to its fullest. I would highly recommend the Hurley Hut.

The property was as described with the most unbelievable play/bar area in the garage (a kid's, small and big, paradise). Our family, having grown up on Platte Lake, enjoyed the accessibility to the river and the paddle board and kayaks and the reverse north side location. The owner was very accessible and responded quickly to any inquires. Totally enjoyed the stay.

We enjoyed a week at the Hurley Hut this summer. The weather was perfect and the beach was gorgeous. When they say there is a hard bottom and gradual entry they were correct. The house is very clean and brand new- the kitchen was fully stocked and my wife says beautifully decorated. What we can not forget to mention is the garage- there is so much to do. The owners are so generous with their lawn toys and games. Our family loved to play waffle ball on the yard and corn hole. My kids played ping pong for five days straight. My wife loved the deck and sat out there continually.
The location is ideal- a few moments to Frankfort, Glen Arbor and a bit farther to Traverse City. We walked the trails right outside of the house and visited Lake Michigan everyday- the beaches there are gorgeous with beautiful waves. Rafting the Platte River is a highlight for the kids and the Hurley Hut is just a few houses away from the opening of the River.
We felt very safe being so far from the road and enjoying the beautiful drive into the house everyday. The lake is very clean and quiet- the sand bar is quite calm. Kayaking around the lake was very safe. There was a lot of peace and suitable for my young children.

We enjoyed our short stay, wish we could have gotten the full week. The beach area and fire pit are very nice, but take everything you need with you to avoid having to make the long walk(as advertised) back and forth to the house. Location to activities is pretty good. Huge garage with plenty of activities for all ages was very nice. Well equipped. Main drawback - 17 steps to reach living area.
