Location was good.
Smell of permanent weed. Noisy outside so very little sleep.

The staff were very friendly and they helped out in every way they could. Reasonable priced bar with pool table in the lobby
2.0
The closeness to the central station
Unfortunately we were disappointed with our stay, the room wasn't properly cleaned, there were hairs in the bathroom and on the bed. The bathroom sink was leaking during our stay, leaving a big puddle of water which was very uncomfortable. The walls are very thin so you hear both the people on the street as well as people in other rooms, but it was located near the central station, which was practical. Wouldn't stay here again though.

Great location for first timers to Amsterdam who want to be in the heart of the bars, red light district & pretty streets
Very old building with random layout and very narrow winding steps - was pretty dangerous and scary getting luggage up & down again, also no air con and no ground floor bathrooms. God help those staying on 5th floor

This place exceeded our expectations by a lot , after reading some online reviews we were a little scared . We should not of been the room we stayed in was a 10 person bunk the beds were comfy , the sheets were clean . Love the plug and lights at every bunk . The showers were hot and we just had the best time . There were 9 of us . The location is so close to everything we would stay again thank you

Just the location.
Most things. But I believe that the hotel don't have conditions to do improvements. For example, there is no elevator, but it is impossible to install one. And we need to understand that Amsterdam had so many people at this time and because of this the prices was so high.
4.5
The room was small but had everything we needed including towels and soap and was perfectly clean. There were fans and there was a bar too
There was not much space in the room however there are lockers and cubbys so this wasn’t a problem. The stairs are very difficult to get up when we had such large cases.

Location is at walking distance from the Amsterdam Central Station.
1. Cleanliness
2. Stairs are too steep.
3. Room is too small.

Nothing to like about ! Just a place to keep your bags & roam around in the city centre.
Rooms were dungeons with no ventilation ! Was given room in the top floor with no lift access, carrying luggage & along with children was cruel ! No facilities available !

The location
TV in the room didn’t work and one male member of staff was exceptionally rude and unhelpful, the rest of the staff were lovely

bed was comfy and great location
the stairs to level 5. and the rooms were extremely hot with no air conditioning

I liked the location as I was with a family member who had difficulty with mobility.
The noise from street below was constant, and the heat in the room was unbearable no a/c or fans. Window was broken, meaning glass just taped with gorilla tape.
2.5
Very good location, close to everything. The bathroom was alright.
Place had an awful smell, beds very uncomfortable and small, cleaning was very questionable.

the location
when I got there Thursday evening they told me there was a problem with water and room wasn’t ready, i got moved to another hotel 20 mins away. which wasn’t very convenient for me . went back Friday morning and got my room , then on Saturday morning there was no power in room , and Saturday evening when I was going out for something to eat there was a mouse running around the corridor

That is close to the main train station a d city center.
The hotel is a backpakers hotel. So, you will enjoy the terrible noise of backpakers party the whole night. Bonus, you will wake up the next day with vomit everywhere on the upstairs. Because, the is not lift. The hotel lack of cleaning neither you received daily cleaning. The host "the indian person" of the hotel punished us giving us a 5th floor room, because I complained about the hotel being a backpackers and the advertise on Expedia didn't say it. We asked kindly and nicely to gives us a better floor as we had a very heavy luggage and he just refused. No nice at all.
The hotel need better cleaners even is a 2 start hotel, as the host said, doesn't have to be that dirty. And pray for not to find a mouse.
This place doesn't offer breakfast.
I would definitely not recommed or return to this place.

Great location
Comfortable beds
Good pressure/temperature showers
We arrived to find the reception/bar area a building site, no prior warning had been given. Our room (which was usually straight through the bar) was up 3/4 flights of steep right stairs, over a corridor and back down steep stairs again. Meaning anytime we came or went from the room it took 5 minutes to get in or out.
There was drilling and banging due to the renovation every morning from 7/8am apart from Sunday. We had next to no WiFi connection in the room for the first two days until we complained and it was fixed suddenly. There was a mouse outside of our room and once I told the receptionist he simply said that the "mice have been misplaced from their home due to the work on the bar". I probed further and said does he mean to say that there may be more mice in our room right next to the building site and he simply said it's not possible but that the mice were just looking for somewhere to go since work began, meaning they know they have a pest problem?
Finally we asked for a later checkout instead of 10am to leave at 12 due to the hassle we have had sleeping etc with the building works- I had to ask 4 times, 3 different receptionist over a few days and was finally told that its no problem we could leave at 12. To then be rudely awakened at 10am by a cleaner busting through the door shouting at our party to get out now. We calmly explained that we had got the all clear from reception the day previous to stay later to which he shouted back we would be made to pay for an extra night.
The showers leaked water meaning the bathroom was constantly wet. There were fruit flies all over the room from the minute we arrived. And underneath beds etc were covered with dust (likely due to the building work).
Over all we knew that it wasn't going to be 5star but don't feel as though the property really went out of there way to help the ongoing situation.

I was in 5th floor and God what ever I drink or smoke was vanished till I get to my room because there’s no elevator 🛗 🤦🏻♂️
