Great for a couples or family trip during the Christmas season. The hotel was wonderfully decorated for Christmas. Restaurant breakfast was good, we did not try any other meals there. We stopped in at the bar one night and had a tastey, albeit slightly overpriced dessert and some cocktails. Room was clean and having full room service was very nice. Old school heater made keeping the room a comfortable temperature a little difficult. Great location, walking distance to downtown and Glenwood Hot Springs. 5 minute drive to Iron Mountain.
Overall a great and memorable experience.

Very nice and relaxing historic hotel. Beautifully decorated for the holidays.

What a charming hotel! Love the historic feel and the Christmas decorations in December were fantastic. Great location, easy parking. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant had great food and the coffee bar was perfect for the morning. Will definitely come back.

Stay was very comfortable and clean. Front desk in check in was confused about our hotels.com reservation for 2 rooms. The next morning we cleared it up and we were all set.

We were here for an overnight stay. We love the character of the hotel (not a hotel that looks like every other) and the room was very quiet and comfortable. We will stay here next time we are in town. All service personnel were very good, helpful, and polite. Overall a good experience.

Number 10 for cleanliness, hotel. Fabulous! Beautifully decorated for Christmas, there's only one downfall the bed was so hard. I have to literally go see a chiropractor now. Only two nights sleeping on it. Needs definite improvement. Nobody wants to sleep on that heart of a bed. Not even people who do. Otherwise. Everything else was wonderful.

Positives: classic old hotel with a magnificent foyer and check in area. Negatives: the place has a funky unpleasant odor like a mouse died in the walls. The rooms only have heat via old steam radiators with no way to cool the room. We opened the window but were unable to achieve any cross ventilation to help lower the temperature— and it got down into the 40s at night. So we “slept” hot. The front desk staff provided a box fan, which was nice of them. So that helped a little. Plus we had the ceiling fan going too but it was like trying to sleep in a wind tunnel. I can’t imagine staying there in the summer!

We came here for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted each morning with the sounds of construction, beeping trucks, gravel being poured, it made our stay quite miserable. They should give you the heads up. Our room was dirty, we found cheese it’s Throughout the room and there were dirty close left behind. The heater stayed at one temp which was extremely hot. I will not return to this hotel.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I wanted to warn people. This was so loud and noisy, the door to our room was so warped that it let in so much light from the hall, and you could see people walking by. It was so loud we could hear everything from people above, below, and beside us. There was no way to turn off the heat and it was really hot. The staff seemed nice but this place was awful. We stayed two nights because we were in town for an event and we couldn’t find another available room in town. I would give this place zero stars if possible and will sleep in my truck next time if there is no room available anywhere else.

Room was very nice, penty of space, very comfortable bed, and nice old style tile in bathroom.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel. Our double queen room was small but clean and comfortable. We did miss having a microwave and small fridge in the room. It would be nice if management provided hot water for tea in the lobby and morning coffee, although there was a Keurig In the room.

For as expensive as a night is at the Hotel Colorado they really lack amenities in the rooms. The so-called “suite“ was basically two rooms connected via a bathroom.
My second time here, I was hoping it would be better, it was not. I will definitely be choosing another hotel in Glenwood from now on.

Upgraded to the bell tower suite. Two balconies with views of Glenwood Springs and the mountains!

First time at the hotel, Colorado. Previously stayed at hotel Denver The Maxwell Anderson hotel, which is the new name for the hotel Denver get away with a lot of the charm, and raise the prices exorbitantly. The hotel Colorado was OK but not great.

There was NOT ONE table to put anything on in the bathroom. I couldn’t bring anything into the bathroom. Not my toiletries, nor any clothing. This is a dealbreaker and probably won’t stay here again. It’s an expensive hotel and it’s a shame that the bathroom has PLENTY of space to put a table and instead, besides the toilet tub and sink, it’s a huge empty bathroom…
The couch was probably the most uncomfortable couch I’ve ever sat on in a hotel room. One big rock…… Again, a pretty expensive hotel and fell short in a few areas. We only ate once in the restaurant and the food was really good!!

Overpriced and understaffed. If you go on a weekend and they are hosting a wedding, you get excluded from some of those pretty areas you see on their website. Elevators broke down. Tiny AC unit in window doesn’t cool the room enough. I would not recommend this place, lovely historic building on the outside, tired on the inside.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms and courtyard. I was bummed the fire pit and bar was dead at 11pm on a Saturday, but I survived

Hotel Colorado is a classic and a treasure. The rooms are small but the history that flows through each room is so apparent. It is a wonderful place to stay into relax and to enjoy the Glenwood pool we will return again.

Because we spent our honeymoon at Hotel Colorado 35 years ago, we enjoy coming back now and then to celebrate. The quality has actually improved over the years, so it's nice. The only disappointment was the $14 extra charge for parking.

We stayed here in our anniversary trip. The balcony was such a great surprise. It was neat to sit out there and watch all of the things. Luis at the front desk was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. I loved the history of the hotel and its quirks. The bed was comfy and the courtyard amazing.

We always stay at the Hotel Colorado when in Glenwood Springs. There is something special about the hotel, and you really do immerse yourself in history as soon as you walk into the beautiful lobby. The rooms are very well appointed and have all amenities that you would expect. Fridges are available upon request when you check in. The lobby and courtyard are major gathering places for guests, and the hotel’s restaurant and bar are available outside in the summer months when the weather is nice. The fire pits are always popular! The Hitel Colorado has really become our home away from home!

Thought the place was nice, I thought my room was a little small and then the step up to the bathroom was weird, but other than that it was a great place

The historic hotel was so full of history on beautiful grounds. They stored our luggage for us until checkin and we received a message that our room was ready very early. Food was great at the restaurant. Cons-$15 extra for parking and we went to the bar at happy hour and the service was very slow-bartender comped our appetizer and a drink due to the extended wait
