My stay at the Coral at Atlantis in the Bahamas was amazing.

It was impossible to find somewhere to eat outside, or go to a real beach.

We recently visited Atlantis Bahamas with our family, including young children, and had high hopes given the resort’s reputation. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired.
We had been offered an upgrade before arrival, which we accepted, but upon check-in at the Coral Tower, the upgrade wasn’t honored. The room itself was in rough shape, with a wardrobe door barely hanging on and overall poor maintenance. When we requested an upgrade, they initially declined, but after walking over to the Reef Tower, they agreed to an upgrade for a significant additional cost. The suite at the Reef Tower was a noticeable improvement and much more comfortable.
One downside across the hotel was the excessive air conditioning; it was uncomfortably cold in many areas, which seemed wasteful and unnecessary.
The service left room for improvement as well. Several staff members appeared disengaged, chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to guests. The manager responsible for towel and wristbands was particularly rude, given we were paying over $1,000 a night we expected top-tier service. Vanessa at the Reef check-in desk—she was fantastic and really made us feel welcome. The breakfast staff were also friendly and attentive.
Food was another letdown. Prices were extremely high, and the quality didn’t match. Many restaurants were closed.
Despite these setbacks, the resort’s facilities and the beautiful sea surrounding were wonderful however we would not rush back

Absolutely perfect

The property was dirty and the crowd was very "honk-tonk" if you are looking for a nicer environment and higher end experience best to choose elsewhere.

We had an amazing time and everything was close by.

Loved all of the animals and access to a variety of dining options. Didn’t like how expensive everything was which took away from the overall experience.

Great place for a family- lots of activities

our balcony was right next to the roof (like 0 inches away, we were touching it) and every day there were 10 people or so out there working all day, we could barely use our balcony because it was loud or a bunch of people were leaning on our balcony.

The location is wonderful with easy access to Aquaventure. There is plenty to do for the whole family and tons of food options. I plan to go back.

Overall The Coral was a great place to visit. The property was clean and definitely worth the visit. However, for this place to be as expensive as it is there needs to be some changes or notifications made. The hotel does put a hold on your card when you arrive to the resort. It’s. $150 per night. If you use a debit card it’s a bit more. It has to be all on one card. As a first time visitor, somewhere it should have been posted that the hotel charges a gratuity and VAT tax on top of the taxes and fees for your purchases. So everyplace you eat or buy items from charges this. The VAT tax is added for the entire Bahamas. Each room only get 4 devices for free WiFi (they can’t be changed so choose wisely). After the devices it’s $25per device for WiFi. Each room gets two waterpark/beach towels free per day. Some of the towel hubs really check you room number and name to see if you’ve taken towels out. There are plenty of activities to do at the resort however they are pricey as well. The Barbie experience claims that it starts at $35 but that is like an entry fee into the area. In order to fully understand the experience you’ll end up paying the full $275 per child. There were free activities like the movie theater, karaoke, volleyball games, at different times around the property. Just make sure you read through the weekly itinerary, it will list if the activity is complimentary or not. If you can purchase your activities ahead of time please do.

THE ONLY POSITIVE THING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THE WATERPARK AND POOLS AROUND THE FACILITY EVERYTHING ELSE IS ABSOLUTE TRASHHHH I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THE ATLANTIS OR THE BAHAMAS OVERRATED TRASH OF AN ISLAND

They don't call this place Paradise Island for nothing. The place is huge and beautiful. Although we were originally supposed to stay at the Coral, we actually ended up staying at the Royal. Upon check in we were upgraded free of charge. I don't remember the reason but it was well worth it as the Royal is the better and bigger place to stay.
The resort is so big that we did not have time to explore it in its entirety during our 5 day stay. They have shops, a marina, a casino, a night club, beautiful beaches, an aquarium, a water park with rides and so many other things to do. The staff was friendly, on point and professional. The food choices are good. Specially the restaurant called Chop Stix. We highly recommend it. We went 3 times to eat in this place. It is the most affordable option there and you get lots of food for the price. Stay away from the restaurant named Silan, located around the casino area. The food there is way over priced and the portions are ridiculously small. My husband ordered a steak and all he got was a steak full of fat and the bill was like $187.So if you're planning a trip to Paradise island, be prepared to spend. This place is extremely expensive and not all inclusive. Everything here is triple the price of what a normal item would cost you back home. Overall we still had a great time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Bahamas: what a beautiful island filled with beautiful people and delicious food! I visited two times so far and it is a place that I will continue to visit. The beaches are beautiful and the environment is very tranquil, the perfect place to vacation.
Atlantis: A place that is filled with hidden fees! I’m not talking about standard fees but outlandish made up fees that feels almost like robbery. For example, there is a microwave that is kept in one of the common areas of the hotel. I went to warm up some left over food for my kids one night and was told that the microwave had been taken for the night. I was informed that the microwave was brought out at 12 noon and then taken back at 8pm daily. It was suggested that I called room service if I wanted something warmed. I called room service and was told that they can come and take my food (which I didn’t care for) and warm it up for a fee of $16.99. Never heard f any such fee in life!!!! They leave the microwave out during the hours that everyone is out and about. When you return and need to warm up some food, its gone and you have to pay $16.99 for a minute or two of hot air. Robbery!
Also, I made a dinner reservation on open table for the first night there at this restaurant named Fish. My kids decided that they wanted something else instead. My cell phone reception in addition to my kids and my sister was nonexistent for the first day. I was not receiving messages or calls. Couldn’t make calls or send messages. Emails wer

This hotel is very family oriented, it has great views, a lot of activities, a great beach, a lot of underwater animal sightseeing opportunities, HOWEVER my room wasn’t completely clean. There were stains on the floor, the tub in the bathroom was clogged throughout my entire stay despite their effort to plunge it, the shower head had a lot of grime in it, & there was even a roach in my tub! Besides the staff at the front desk, no one was friendly or spoke to me. Not once did I hear a “ good morning” or “ thank you for staying with us” while walking through the hotel. Also I didn’t like the fact that were excessive fees. From the hours of 8pm to 12 pm they remove the microwave from the lobby. I shouldn’t be charged $17 to warm something up in the microwave for 1 min during those hours. I’ve been in cheaper hotels where the microwave service was complimentary. This is a pricey stay but it’s not worth it. I would not be returning, nor would I recommend staying here unless you have a lot of money to spend on mediocre, uncleanly, services.

Best hotel option for the island, but can be very expensive on resort, every price has 25% extra vat and service charge. Shake shack and chop stix best value for money dining options.

Great trip at Atlantis once again! Food is still their biggest challenge; either overpriced or not enough vegies, but it seems to be getting better. Facilities are great and the beaches, waterslides and rapid river are always great!

My family and I just returned today, and I’m not usually one to write reviews, but since I rely on them when planning, I felt compelled to share my experience. The resort was absolutely amazing and exceeded all my expectations.
The aquarium was a highlight—so impressive! All the aquatic activities were included, which was a huge plus. The staff? Beyond amazing. I have to give a special shout-out to Patrick at the front desk. Our room wasn’t ready on time, but without us even asking, he gave us a food discount while we waited. The level of customer service was incredible; everyone we encountered was so nice and friendly, and it was clear they all love their jobs. If you seemed lost in the enormous resort, someone was always there to ask how they could help. I can go on and on.
The only downside for me was a personal one—I have a cat phobia, and there were cats on the property. But that’s my issue, not theirs.
As for the restaurants, they were quite pricey, especially the all-you-can-eat option at $60 per person, which didn’t offer many choices.
Transportation around the resort was flawless. We traveled from hotel to hotel, and never waited more than two minutes for a bus. The drivers were always so nice and kept us updated on our next stop.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can’t recommend this resort enough!
We definitely be returning, but next time will plan an accordingly with food. I believe they have a timeshare, which I will definitely consider.
