We had an amazing time at Ockenden, our second visit there and we'll definitely come back again! We had an upgrade for my husdand's birthday so the room was amazing and complimentary fizz on arrival as well. Such a lovely place and had a lovely relaxing time in the spa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful old Manor House. The staff were so helpful, courteous and conscious of our needs because my husband has a little difficulty walking. Our room was a lovely bright room overlooking the garden and extremely comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend The Ockenden Manor.

We visited recently for our anniversary. The room was wonderful, super quaint and a good size for what we needed for a few days. The staff around the hotel were incredibly polite, friendly and always ready to help. Nothing was too much trouble whether it was minor changes on the cooked breakfast menu, or ordering us a taxi to the local vineyard. The location is excellent with walks nearby and the centre of the village is barely 2 minutes walk, yet the hotel is in a quiet back road with no noise. It meant we had choice of where to eat (hotel or village) and we mi ded it up during our stay. The hotel restaurant is lovely - small, yet doesn't feel cramped or noisy. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace one morning, which was lovely, overlooking the gardens. The spa is fantastic - the staff are really helpful, and food and drinks are available throughout the day. We visited the spa a couple of days, and spent a full day there which was really enjoyable as the facilities are excellent both inside and outside. We both also enjoyed a lovely massage. This was not our first time at Ockenden, but we were only passing through last time, so it was wonderful to spend a few nights here.

We loved our stay at Okendon Manor Hotel, it is a beautiful period property, with a lot of character, a stunning traditional English garden, a great fine dining restaurant and one of the best spas I've been to. What more can you ask for for a relaxing getaway? Highly recommended!

Really nice spot in the centre of the lovely little village of Cuckfield, the staff were really friendly and accommodating and the room we stayed in had a lot of nice character. The meal was really excellent and we were cared for to the nth degree. The spa facilities were pretty standard but everything you'd expect was there including a coffee machine to make a whole array of nice coffee drinks.

We had such a wonderful time!!!

We have stayed previously but this was our first time staying above the spa.
The room was fantastic. Great views, very comfortable bed, very clean and spacious. The service from all the staff we encountered was excellent, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Restaurant food was delicious.
Massage and facials were also excellent.
We have come away feeling very relaxed.

The check in was very easy, the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately te spa (jacuzzi) was broken so we could not use it. We use the rest of the facilities but we discovered that children are only allowed 2 hours of the entire day!
The restaurant did not have children’s menu, however they offered to do sausages and mash or burger however as our daughter is vegetarian we had to go and look for a restaurant.
The worst thing was the inflatable bed they put in the bedroom for our daughter, which what you expect if you are glamping and not in a manor hotel well over £300 a night! Very disappointed, we had a terrible night sleep because of this as our daughter could not sleep.

One night spa stay post Christmas we were hoping for a relaxing break.
The room 'Master' suite was absolutely beautiful and part of the old building. It was also decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. This was the highlight of our trip sadly it was downhill from here.
The jacuzzi and outdoor hot tub were not working. With rainy cold weather we were looking forward to this and we're very disappointed. There was no offer of compensation for this which ruled our half the spa. The pool was nice but 5 mins into our swim was full of children who were loud and splashing, if the hot tub had been working we could have escaped outside.
Our treatments which were 1hr massages only lasted 40 minutes. They included a consultation and time to get undressed. We arrived 20 mins early so we could avoid this and for £130 per massage felt completely ripped off.
Dinner was very average and overpriced. The only dish we fancied on a £69 menu had a £10 supplement. The meal with a bottle of wine cost us over £200. I was astonished and again disappointed.
The bar had no atmosphere no music or staff.
Breakfast was OK.
Overall a 1 night stay for use of a basic pool and average meal cost over a thousand pounds. I have no problem paying this for something special with great food and service but this trip fell very short

Lovely, traditional small hotel (the clue is in the name, its a manor house). Really enjoyed our stay, exceeded expectations, mainly due to the fantastic staff in all areas. I stay in many hotels and never have i had such friendly, helpful service in all parts of the hotel. Reception, bar and restaurant staff and spa were all absolutely lovely and nothing too much trouble - credit to the hotel. We had a suite and the bed was huge and comfortable, big free standing bath in the room too. Had a quick swim before checkout and the spa was nice too, much more modern than the hotel. Great outside area, would be great on a sunny day.

A lovely building but needs some upgrading as some areas run down.
We was upset that the sauna was not open for the whole break and after trying to book the flotation tank this was also closed.
We felt the costs were quite expensive for what we got

Amazing experience at Ockenden Manor. Came and stayed for 1 night with dinner and breakfast included. The spa facility was very nice and clean. You have access to an indoor pool which leads to an outdoor pool, indoor+outdoor jacuzzi, steam room and sauna (which was not open when I visited). In addition, you are able to book other spa treatments if you like. The dinner there was amazing, highly recommend it. However, the only thing to mention is if you are thinking of bringing your own wine, they charge 30 pounds for a corkage fee which is quite expensive. Overall a great experience to get out of the city for a nice weekend away

Wonderful service, beautiful hotel, cosy and lovely Christmas decorations everywhere. Room was lovely but the bed was a tad too firm. Otherwise couldn’t complain about anything. The spa was wonderful. A very relaxing stay

Great facilities. Spa is really great for a hotel of this type. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Only suggestion would be spa orientation when you’re staying in one of the spa suites.

Sadly we didn't get to stay as long as planned due to our flight from the US being delayed by a day and a half. We did enjoy one very comfortable evening of sleeping and an excellent breakfast. The coffee/tea service in the room was easy to use and included tasty cookies. We had a bit of difficulty figuring out the shower. The water power wasn't strong enough for me to wash my hair so I had to use the sink. We appreciated all the electrical outlets available and places to plug in USB cords for all our devices that needed recharging. if we get back this way again, we would return to see the spa and eat dinner too.

It was a lovely relaxing short break. Nice indoor & outdoor pool even in March.
Not happy with choose of evening meal. I’m a vegetarian & have an egg allergy. Neither of which are unusual. One dish suitable & only sorbet for dessert.
Breakfast a lot more options

Lovely surprise to have a TV room as well as an en suite. in the tudor part of the hotel. Very cosy. Great food. We went for the spa, which was perfect. Can't beat a steam room and a pool which goes outdoors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-Christmas stay. We found all the staff we came into contact with were friendly and attentive. The food was superb and the dining room was run exceptionally well. We stayed in a spa suite and found the bed super comfortable. Slight annoyance was the LED in the fire sensor. The spa was well setup with plenty of room. We’ll be back again.

The spa here is lovely, really enjoyed making use of the facilities there. However the hotel was all a bit average. Opened the bedroom window as it was too hot, then had the hum of extractor fans all night and not a very comfy bed. No atmosphere in the restaurant, just silence, bit awkward.

The actual property was fine, nothing special.

Beautiful room, lounge, spa and grounds.
Good quality food and drink - service was very friendly but a little hit and miss
