Property location could not have been better!! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I messaged with them several times prior to arrival and they were always responsive. The one thing to be aware of is that the building is very old and has not been updated. It is kept very clean though. Overall we were very happy with the accommodations.

I did not like the fact that there was no elevator and the hotel gave us the 4th floor traveling with an almost 80 year old was not good, she had to stopped on every floor to breath. everything else the front desk was kind and friendly gave us some tips on where to eat with a map.

I cannot fault this hotel, it was exactly what I booked, amazingly close to everything I wanted to do in Venice and the staff were so lovely!
It’s not the newest or smartest hotel but it was perfect for what I needed and the AC was amazing.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marconi. The A/C worked well in our room, it was August and very warm. Nice to come back to a cool room for a break. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and a large selection. Would definitely stay again!

Imagine being on the 4th floor with no elevator carrying your luggage 80 or so narrow steps to get in to a small, cramped, fish smelling, dark room with a tiny bathroom which has no hooks to hang your clothes and no room to place your toiletries and pay as much as a four star hotel

The place was charming! I just wish I had a view of water.

The staff was great, rooms were clean but well equipped. Air conditioning was wonderful! Breakfast was great. The front desk helped book a water taxi, and then followed up without our asking. The location next to Rialto bridge was convenient for walking, airport public transit and public vaporetto access. I would stay here again and would recommend.

Good and centric hotel

The hotel is an older building with no lift, but we loved it. Its location next to the Rialto Bridge could not be more perfect. Staff was very helpful. The air conditioning was greatly appreciated, as it was very hot during our stay in July. We would definitely return here.

Perfect if you want to be in the heart of Venice. And if you want to get a feel of a city built on water. And to step back in time. Old building, no lift, but helpful staff taking your luggage up and down. Very nice breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Marconi, a couple with our twelve year old daughter. The location could not have been better, at Rialto so central for getting to everything and easily accessible by vaporetto. Our room was quiet and the shades kept it fully dark. The room was small but clean, attached bathroom also clean and with a window for ventilation. The air conditioning worked well and the room was welcomely cool whenever we returned. The hotel itself was old (let’s be reasonable, this is midtown Venice) so some sloping floors and narrow corridors, but beautifully decorated and maintained. Above all, it was clean and met our needs.
The included breakfast was good, the same every day but adequate and we liked having a no cost option some days. The staff was friendly and diligent, voluntarily offered us a bagged takeaway breakfast for our early departure. We had one misstep when the staff helped arrange our return taxi to the airport by boat and then car but this had not been adequately spelled out and we thought we were being taken advantage of (we were mistaken).
All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel bang in the Rialto bridge vicinity. Great access to the Vaparetto water taxies stops and restaurants. Great breakfast buffet. Entry foyer has a lot of character too. We enjoyed one of the two rooms with easy side alley access so moving our large pieces of luggage was a breeze.

Was a nice hotel. Breakfast was great.
1.0 / 5.0
Ground floor room, first room, was squat, dank, and had no hot water. It was primarily accessed by a back alley that featured garbage heaps and kitchen refuse, or via the kitchen hallway behind the “breakfast room.” It was not anything approaching the quality of establishment indicated in the promotional photos on line.
Staff was initially combative and unhelpful, but eventually relocated us to another room.
Second room was on a higher floor and more comfortable.
Would not stay here again.

Hotel Marconi’s nearness to Rialto bridge makes it a highly convenient spot to stay at. Room had an old world charm which we loved. Staff were very helpful and arranged for our transportation. Only negative aspect is how cramped the bathroom was. They could have avoided fitting a lot of things into such a small place which makes it hard to move around.

The property has a charm .... its location is also a plus since it is on The Grand Canal. It could also use further upgrading... a lobby configuration that is freshened up and more conducive to sitting and watching the passers bye. the ventilation system is limited in that during the evening when I required cooling, I had to open windows for coolness... this allowed the late night street noise to come in. The BIGGEST plus is how friendly and helpful the vast majority of the staff was!!!

This hotel is in the oldest neighborhood in Venice and it’s decor truly represents an era of another time. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and fresh and the staff were really helpful especially because I didn’t brush up on my Italian before my trip.

For an older hotel we were pleased with our stay. The service was very good - friendly and accommodating. We knew it was an older hotel so we expected the decor to reflect that. The breakfast selections were better than we expected. The location was great! We were right off the canal and able to walk to all the attractions and activities we had planned. It was also nice to have restaurants and cafes next door. We would definitely stay here again.

I decided at 1:00 on a Wednesday afternoon to go to Venice and was on a plane by 9:00 pm on my way. Very last minute and only for 3 days. I found Hotel Marconi on the internet and booked it. I knew we wouldn't be in the room much so to me the most affordable was the most important. This hotel did not disappoint and we ended up in the room alot more than we anticipated due to jet lag and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable and so centrally location. When you get off the Water Bus and only have to walk 100 yards after a long day of walking - it was heaven. The breakfast was great and had a wide variety to choose from. The staff was great and friendly, would definitely stay here again.

Room was small but acceptable. Only problem was it was too hot and no air on available until 1st April!
Bathroom was very modern and the breakfast was good.

We were speculative about staying here after reading some of the reviews but the place has the best location ever and for the price was fantastic. Our small balcony was amazing to watch the gondolas and boats go by. Highly recommend. It is not the newest hotel but you get a feel of going back in time and the location and the decor to us was fantastic. Thank you.

The location is perfect for arriving departing with suitcases if you are not a fan or in condition to haul them for long distances over cobble stoned walkways. The staff are helpful and welcoming at all times. The room had everything we needed and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast had choices of scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts and cheese, yogurt and granola, fruit and pastries. Lots of good places to eat near by. Pretty quiet at night. Lovely!

We arrive at the hotel, and they told us that in November they don't turn the AC on so they have us open a window.
First problem is that you get all the noise from the street, and the second is the mosquitos get inside, we ask for a fan or something, they didn't provide any solutions and we so many rats on the street below that they can make there way into the window without much effort. The rooms were very old and outdated. Long story short we could not rest and made our stay in Venize unbearable.

The property is typically venetian in style and whilst it does appear dated and a bit tired it is well looked after and maintained. Room wise, everything was super clean. The air con worked!!!(my main concern in the heat), with good water pressure in the shower.
Breakfast, a typical european breakfast buffet was free and even included prosecco!
The staff were all super friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The location was just spot on. Easy to find being so close to the Rialto bridge with really.good transport links. Plently of
