The first night the air conditioning didn’t work, but we asked them to take a look at it and they were able to fix it. It ended up being an ice box in our room but the cold was better than the heat. There was no control system, so you either have to have the air conditioning on or off. The blow dryer didn’t really work either. Other than that, the hotel was great. Pool was convenient. Breakfast was great. There wasn’t really ocean access because it didn’t seem safe to swim there, but the beach is so close. It’s walking distance to so many restaurants, grocery stores, and to the beach. They were able to call a taxi for us, which was helpful.

The stay was wonderful. Hotel could use a little updating but is still a beautiful place.

Staff are friendly and helpful, Breakfast is good with great view of gulf, restaurant on site for lunch or dinner. Short walk to beach and local restaurants

Lovely place great people but it’s a rubbish tip outside. You need to petition the council to clean up outside the property

Beautiful environment. Close walk to restaurants and the public beach area. Property shows a little wear but is very clean and staff service is very friendly. I would book here again.

The staff was confusing and misleading regarding the half-board / full-board options. At check-in we were told we had the option to decide day-by-day, and the next day a very rude and unpleasant manager(?) said the contrary, stating that half-board had a 3 day minimum and 24 hours advance notice, which was not at all what we were told on the first day upon check-in.
The hotel can also benefit from a renovation, as it seems like it has not been renovated since its opening.

Good location, friendly staff, poor room’s.

Great location. Perfect view. Lovely staff. The smoking at the restaurants is unbearable. The waiter will smoke as he serves you so for only that reason I did not stay longer. I don’t know if the food was good, all I could taste was cigarette smoke.

Despite the hotel’s great location and amenities the place looked tired in various places. Inconsistent service at times. Some staff were helpful, however at times several employees seemed as if they were being inconvenienced with some generic requests. E.g. cleaning of the room.

This is such a unique property. You can tell that it was the place to stay in its day (felt post WW II). I really enjoyed staying there and I felt like I was in a time warp. The hotel has defiantly seen better days and could use some work. Staff was a tad surly at times but overall decent. The entire wait staff was dressed as if they were working a five-star restaurant. I would totally stay there again!

excellent location, staff was friendly and accomodating, bed was rough and uncomfortable, could not control AC from my room, and it was sometimes hot and uncomfortable, wifi connection terrible

What a fantastic Hotel!
Immaculately clean, with beautiful spacious rooms, well appointed bathrooms and amazing breakfast area with panoramic views of the sea and mountains.
The outside space is amazing too, with a huge terrace for an afternoon drink, surrounded by the sea. And choice of large pool with huge sundeck, or private rocky beach, with steps into the sea.
The Hotel is located near the Nature Reserve away from the noisier parts of Mondello, but is within easy walking distance to the Main square and Pier etc.
This was one of our designated travel days, but I wish we had longer to enjoy this lovely Hotel.
I only have one criticism is that is that the rooms aren't well soundproofed, so one can hear one's next door neighbour moving around their room. But everything else about this Hotel is fantastic.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as a last minute plan. The location is really ideal for Mondello which is what makes staying here worth it! The pool is really nice and has a bar (with limited options), however there is a snack bar if you walk a little further to the public area and we went here every day for lunch! As far as the hotel itself it’s definitely a little dated and could use renovations but was still clean. Parking was extremely limited and there is not enough for hotel guests - we got lucky and got a space and didn’t move our car the rest of the time there. The beds are not the most comfortable and one of the shutters was off the track, but that’s not a huge deal. Definitely get the sea view room (otherwise probably wouldn’t be worth staying there). The views are incredible from the restaurant and breakfast on the top floor. We did use the gym once and all the equipment is very old but definitely useable and plenty of space to workout. I would recommend staying here if you want to be in the quiet area of Mondello but still walking distance to all the restaurants at night.

Good hotel , good location.
But staff in breakfast so disrespectful and not helpful at all . Special the brown hair curly woman with glasses and the blond older man with papillon . Very very Bad .
The rest was good

Outdated, more like a 3 star.
Good access the the private beach behind the hotel.

Direct access to seafront is a plus. Distance from Palermo along with high price of taxis is a minus

absolutely stunning views, private ocean access. A timeless beautiful place to stay. What a charming place

I have nothing negative to say.

The hotel is a little dated but very clean. Another restaurant is needed, also ice machine is nice. The restaurant should have a lunch menu. A concierge would be nice to give clients a sense of what they want to do and see.

Staff was unfriendly and super moody. The whole building needs renovation.

The hotel needs a total refurbishment, very tatty in places, and the door to the fire exit on our floor was broken couldn't open it fully or close it at all so that was a safety hazard. Regarding the restaurant, overpriced small and underwhelming food, do not eat there. The only good thing about the place is the staff lovely helpful people.

Great hotel in a lovely location. Nice rooms, breakfast and pool. Staff was very helpful. Expensive and could do with some upgrades but still one of our favourite places that we stayed in on our trip.

Gorgeous view, but other than the view the place is a dump. It’s falling apart. The place needs a facelift asap.

This hotel was fine but not great for me. The salt water pools were closed which I which I was notified about when I booked my stay, otherwise I would have stayed somewhere else. The concierge wasn't very helpful when I asked about activities my friend and I could do while there. One day there was a man going around taking pictures of me and my friend in bathing suits and there was no staff around to help us. I didn't feel very safe here. I did like the restaurant and that breakfast was included.

Not worth the money. Room was clean and nice and the hotel was at good location. That was it. Staff has a lot to learn about the hospitality. Breakfast is till 10:30, you go there at 10:30 they already put everything away. Learned my lesson the other morning but also saw so many of ppl disappointed coming at 10:30 and turning away. Usually when the breakfast is till 10:30 you can still come at that time and find something to eat. Not here. Pool and the beach close at 8pm. Sunset at the beach… well no. When pool opens in the morning, coming at the exact time it opens, there is no free lounges by the pool as tourist left their towels at night. When asking the reception why don’t they do something about it, they said they cannot touch personal stuff. I can count so many things… like the hotel needing a renovation, it’s far from 4 star hotel… but even that would be acceptable if the staff could at least be helpful, polite and smile here and there. Just to feel welcomed. Anyways, this has not ruined my vacation since Sicily is wonderful, Palermo is charming, beaches are nice and people are amazing. Def gonna return, just not here, if it doesn’t change.

Great location and lovely staff. I had a Seaview room which had an incredible view. The pool was lovely, very clean and the guys that maintained it were lovely. However it was so over chlorinated that your eyes stung.
However the hotel is very dated, the aircon in the room hardly worked, getting hot/cold water was sometimes hit and miss, and the common areas ie hallways were not vacuumed or clean. The outdoor wooden pathway railings eg down to the sea platform were dangerous, falling apart and not maintained for years. Same at the next door complex.
2.0
Great location and potential, but I was there 30 years ago. Since then looks like nothing has changed... probably some maintenance, but nothing substantial. Dirty, pretty beaten-up infrastructure and old-style service. The lobby looks like an unwelcoming government reception desk.
3.0
I found that the inside of the hotel was very basic. Could really have done with some modernisation. My room didn’t really have a view. An old kettle was provided with paper cups and no cream. I didn’t have any hot water for the first couple of days which was bizarre as I know it worked in other rooms.
Saying this I didn’t really care so much as the pool area was perfect for me with a pool bar close at hand and stunning

Great hotel for a relaxing holiday by the ocean. We used the pool ammenities and the restaurant daily. Our room had a balcony overlooking the ocean and it was lovely sitting out in the evenings watching the passing sea vessels. Staff were friendly and polite and accommodated our very small Italian vocabulary.

Stay away!
Rude staff, peper thin walls. Expensive!
One night the staff called us in the middle of night around 4 in the morning and woke us and our little baby and hang up when the day after I asked them why would you called us in the middle of night they denied it saying we dont know!!!!!
The check out time is supposed to be at "12" according to hotels.com but they send a guy to knock at your door at 10:00! And he keeps stressing you untill you leave!
We had "garden view room" but it was noisy parking lot view.
Every time we went to the hotel restaurant the staff ignored us so hard that we felt we are not welcome there.
The pool was ok but sunbeds around it were allways busy!
I do not recommend this hotel!
