The Sarah Kendall House was a delightful part of our short stay in Newport. The entire house is gorgeous, and our room was amazing from the size, beauty and comfort of the bedroom and bathroom to the window view of the harbor. Breakfast was a feast of delicious foods. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks to all at the Sarah Kendall House who made our one night in Newport absolutely perfect!

You must stay here! The breakfast was delicious, the room exceeded my expectations for a vintage inspired B&B, and the gardens were stunning. So close to the water, shops and restaurants. And the owners were attentive and informative. Parking is free but you have to find your own street parking and you get a pass to put in your windshield for overnight.

This is a a true gem. We were greeted by the owner, who gave us a brief history and tour of the inn. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was superb - eggs and bacon cooked to order, and a wonderful spread of fruits, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. The inn is located within walking distance of the transit center and waterfront, so there was no need to drive our car anywhere. It was a very warm and inviting experience, and we will definitely be back.

The room was very small, but clean and comfortable. The grounds are heavily planted with flowers and shrubs, nice to look at. Breakfast was exceptional, and attractively presented, with a large variety of fresh fruits, baked goods, wonderful bagels, The hosts will cook to order as well. All in all, I would recommend a stay

This was our first time staying at this property. What a beautiful house and yard, & the owners were friendly, kind, and gracious with regards to a personal difficulty we encountered during our stay. While a lot of the reviews for this B&B are excellent, I can only comment about my experience concerning customer service. I bought a night for my parents, and unfortunately they were unable to stay. Although the night in question was after the cancellation window, we tried to at least move the date - understanding that we would have to pay the difference. The woman who my mother spoke with us extremely rude and seemingly unwilling to help. The first thing she said was, “Well you are going to lose your money.” Again, we understood that we would have to pay more - which I was happy to do so that my parents could enjoy themselves. She claimed we had not tried to call her previously - this was a flat out lie. We called and left a message, as did Hotels.com. I understand a policy is a policy, but the way in which this was handled reflected very poorly on her and the B&B as a whole. Based solely on that interaction I would not recommend staying here.

Bryan, Fran and Mary were all great. I was on crutches during my stay, and they were more than accommodating. Lovely room, great views. Delicious breakfast both mornings, with fresh fruit, bagels, juice, coffee and a main dish. Walking distance to downtown, even on crutches!

Really nice B&B with some old world charm , great antique decor on a quiet street. Breakfast was excellent with fresh OJ, all kinds of fruit, bagels, muffins, and egg and cheese omelet. This was a Sisters getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is filled with antiques and the house itself is an antique! Meticulously maintained, our every need met. Breakfast was fabulous, the bagels and muffins from the owners own bagel shop. Be sure to take the hike upstairs to the widows walk tower to enjoy spectacular views! It is in a great location to enjoy all the sites, many even in walking distance. We also loved her cookies always set out with coffee and Hersheys kisses and the warm inviting livingroom with fireplace going and brandy awaiting you. I will definitely come back!

We only had a quick overnight but the hospitality was great. Mary helped us find a nice dinner spot and Bryan helped us put an order to our one day of sightseeing. Breakfast was sumptuous and the climb to the Tower Room worth all those steps with that beautiful harbor view.

We followed their recommendations and had a great time! Breakfast is included, and was fantastic! Fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt, eggs, bacon, pancakes and waffles, all prepared as per your wishes and wonderfully fresh and delicious. We will definitely be coming back. Please make sure that you catch the gorgeous sunsets 1/2 block a way on the dock. Also note, you can park your car in the driveway and avoid getting ticketed! Room Tip: ask for the third floor room overlooking the ocean

Great B&B with a wonderful view, within walking distance to anything you need in downtown Newport. Bryan, the owner, gave us wonderful suggestions about local places to eat, things to go see while in Newport.....and put on a breakfast spread that knocked our socks off both days (every kind of fruit imaginable, wonderful bagels, muffins, coffee, juices - AND bacon, french toast and/or eggs & potatoes! We stayed during the week - and so were upgraded to the best suite in the house.... Can't say enough about how you will enjoy your stay here....you come in from being out and Bryan is asking if you want a beer!

First time in Newport with my girlfriend we totally enjoyed our stay, thanks to the cute little city but also to Sarah Kendall House! Fran and Bryan were absolutely adorable and did everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Room wasn't huge but was very comfy and clean. No noise issue. Location was ideal, just right besides the sea, in walking distance of the wharf. I would definitely come back there next time I head to Newport!
