A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay.

This 3 bedroom villa is specious and comfortable . The views, pool and garden are beautiful and provide the perfect place to relax. The location provides easy access to the area and a walkable distance to town. The owners are the best. Great communication, very responsive to questions and issues and very pleasant to interact with. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Plaisir in Franschhoek. The location is very convenient, only about a 5 minute drive away to the main street. Marlicia gave clear instructions for the check in and we appreciated the gesture of the wine bottle and all the yummy snacks in the kitchen.
Definitely recommend this place.

A beautiful property. Highly recommended. Beautifully maintained grounds. Convenient 24 hour backup during loadshedding.

We had three couples in our group so we selected the Grande Plaisir, which was a great choice. The accommodations were wonderful, as was our hostess, Marlicia. She was very attentive and helpful. Her rusk is delicious BTW. The main street is a short 10 minute walk. We only wish we had more time to spend there. We all hope to return one day.

Our family of 6 stayed in Grand Plaisir for a couple of nights and it was wonderful. Marlicia was an excellent hostess - always close at hand ready to help and answer any questions. The cottage was perfect for our family and was very well appointed and clean. Felt very safe and the kids also enjoyed the pool in the courtyard. There was 24 hour electricity backup so loadshedding was never an issue. Would definitely recommend Marlicia’s place and would love to stay here again in the future. It’s a very short walk into Franschhoek which has lovely shops and restaurants. Beautiful country!

Stayed for three nights and what a lovely experience. We were warmly welcomed by our host, and provided with information about the unit we were staying in. Small lounge and fully functional kitchen, with coffee and tea options as well as ability to prepare own meals. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable. Great location in the quiet part of Franschhoek with ability to get easy access to the main road. Lovely experience and would happily book again.

It’s not easy finding a 3 bedroom all en suite holiday home for a large family and this place hit the sweet spot. Spacious huge family home with a huge kitchen and lovely gardens and Mountain View’s and the splendor Franschiek has on offer all on your doorstep. Marlicia was so sweet and spoiled us with hone baked biscuits and beautiful kumquat preserve which was sublime. Such a wonderful host that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive ❤️

What a great spot for a family holiday in the quaint town of Franschhoek. The home is large with well proportioned bedrooms, all with queen beds and double showers! There is a lovely fireplace in the lounge for cold winter days and a braai and pizza oven at the pool area - great for summer evenings. The kitchen is massive and there is a big dining table for family meals. Marlicia was always available and made our stay very enjoyable. Great and affordable spot. Would definitely come back x

This is a beautiful guesthouse in the heart of Franschhoek which is walking distance to the main street and all the sights that Franschhoek has to offer.
At first, communication was a little challenging (we eventually went to their website and got their cellphone number), but once we got in touch with the guesthouse, Marlicia who owns the guesthouse, was great with keeping in touch.
We were a little confused with our room at first as the description said " 3 bedrooms, living room, and dining area"; but it was in fact a 1 Bedroom with a living area, bathroom & dining area- which was noted on the voucher. The photos are also mostly of the main house, and not the smaller cottage which we staying (the "One Bedroom" compared to the 3 Bedroom Villa) - nevertheless, our 1 Bedroom was beautiful.
The detached cottage is beautifully decorated and comfortable! The bed is fantastic and the bath is wonderful. It has a private patio which is great to sit on. You can come and go as you please.
Overall, this is a beautiful guesthouse with wonderful hospitality that I would definitely stay at again should I go to Franschhoek. It is quiet, relaxing, great location and comfortable. Thank you Marlicia
