My brother and I had a lovely stay at the Urban Pod Hotel in Room 6! The room was cozy and very clean. I've read some reviews with complaints about the mattresses and the shower, but both things were definitely no issues for us, at least not in the room we had. Maybe it depends on what you're used to, but I found both the mattress and the shower very comfortable. It was no more then a 10/15 minute walk to the city centre, but the surrounding of the hotel itself was very quiet. Last but not least, the customer service was great. The host is very kind and we were even able to leave our suitcase in the room on the day of checking out to do some last sightseeing in the city. We will definitely be coming back here if we're ever visiting Liverpool again!

The room was lovely and well equipped. The only issue is the mattress, very uncomfortable and not a very goods night sleep. Everything else in the room is to a good standard and everything has been thought about

I was travelling as a solo female traveller and stayed here for 3 nights.
Property was clean and rooms were quiet. I was in a 22 mixed pod room and felt safe and everyone kept to themselves. There's a privacy curtain and a light and charging ports in each pod.
The shared bathrooms took some getting used to and the one's on the third floor with the pods had some not-great-quality showers so I ended up walking downstairs to level 2 for bathroom and shower facilities which was a bit frustrating.
All the staff are super friendly and nice and the kitchen is clean and quiet. The common spaces are also quiet but people are friendly. I used the washer and dryer, although some things weren't 100% dry after the dryer, like hoodies, it was clean. You do need to provide your own detergent.
There aren't any lifts in the building and there are three floors of rooms, excluding ground floor.
For the price, and the area it was a good fit. If I was to stay at a hostel in Edinburgh again I would consider staying here again.

Lovely overnight stay with my son to go to a Liverpool game. Room very clean and nicely decorated. Bed very comfy. Very quiet stay. No staff on site which I wondered how would work but it was actually very well done. Thanks

I like the style and cleanliness. Tea making facilties. Complimentry water and food left in the lobby. Clear instructions for entry into the building. Highly recommended. Thank you.

There is no staff, but the person from the email seems pretty alright.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, rooms great, close to centre.

Very accommodating. We had our previous reservation cancelled by another property on the last minute for the Taylor Swift concert. Urban pod allowed us an earlier check in as the room
Was available. There were snacks and drinks available and it was very clean and modern. Very friendly and caring.

Lots of little amenities. Great customer service.

This small hotel is a real find and only a 5 minute walk further out of the centre than were used to. It made it for it with excellent attention to detail and good quality room amenities.
The hotel is staffed remotely and we had a problem with locking our door. We sent a WhatsApp and got an immediate response from Geoff who sent someone to fix it straight away. Problems can be a pain, but it's how they're dealt with that makes all the difference, so a big thank you to you Geoff for stepping up!

Very small room and pricey for what it was. Good shower, clean and convenient. Could do with a plug next to the mirror and a bin under the desk.

Such a comfy bed! Really good shower and facilities. The bottles of water were a great touch. Would definitely use again!

Reasonably close to the centre and suitable for a single overnight stay. Good tea / coffee supplies with a kettle and bottled water. Shower well stocked with washing toiletries.

Great communication throughout, room is a short walk from city centre and 5 minute drive from train station. Plenty of cafe’s pubs and other facilities nearby. Quiet area which was a handy bonus.

It was okay. The area is not awful as close to city centre etc and a stones throw away from a Tesco express. The whole aspect of the hotel is very easy to use and you get exactly what you pay for. There was no remote for the tv so had to download an app to use the tv which is strange and also smelt like the cleaner had used the toilet on their way out from cleaning the room which made the room smell lovely prior to our arrival. The bed is also made of only springs and rags which made for a comfortable nights kip. The 7am radio alarm was a lovely surprise. Wouldn’t take the missus but adequate for a lads weekend away.

Excellent communication and faultless apartment. Excellent li ation for Liverpool shopping.

This place was perfect for couple of nights that my friend and spent there. It’s small but comfortable, shower is great, location is perfect to all restaurants and downtown is only 10 min walking. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to explore Liverpool and stay there for 2-3 days…

Very clean and comfortable room

Only book if you want a sleepless night! What was unique about the property was that it was impossible to sleep, due to a loud pump in a nearby room working throughout the night. It would go on for 100 seconds then off for 30 seconds. All through the night. Despite trying to contact the host, they did not respond. How their conscience permits them to rent out rooms knowing sleep will be impossible is beyond me. Very disappointed.

Easy to follow self- entry, just 10 minutes walk from town and train station, super clean and comfortable, everything that was needed. Overall really impressed.

Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Comfortable and quiet. However, the service was non-existent and no daily housekeeping as was advertised. It was difficult to get the towels dry after three nights. There were no instructions for anything including fire drill. If anything went wrong it would have been impossible to contact hosts. Far from perfect.

Great hotel and good location but communication with host was difficult. Would not answer phone and only responded to texts. Was unaware before arrival that the hotel would not be manned and that we would get entry codes to the hotel/room by email. Also, booking confirmation said we had to pay a refundable damage deposit but this was not required and was not communicated to us until we asked. Room was spotless.

The property was very nice overall - clean bed and clean shower. It was a bit out of the way with limited transport, and no pubs / restaurants in the area.
I also had issues getting the shower turned on and remembered another review where it mentioned having to flip a button outside the shower. There was no indication in the washroom itself that this was necessary.

The set up may not be to everyone's liking but we found it excellent. On a night out, all you want is a clean room to sleep and this was great. The use of technology instead of high overheads does make this hotel a cost effective choice.
We would stop here again.

Clean, quiet, would go back again!
Great service, worth it.

Convenient location, but when you get inside the property the room was first class. All fixtures and fittings are to a very high standard. Perfectly clean 👌 .... we have already booked another visit for an event in November.

Absolutely fabulous property. Immaculately clean. Wonderfully quiet and only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Fantastic value for money.

Basic but adequate. Quite like the coded access.

I didn't like the disrespect I was shown by someone pooing in the toilet and left it smelling up the room and the cheek to leave the toilet with the remaining excrement In the bottom of the toilet bowl didn't even have the decency to leave it clean or wash out the bowl the room stank for days I was there even with the window open it was like it was done deliberately and whoever done that should be sacked as who does that other than that I really enjoyed my stay in the Urban Hub and will stay again in the future.

Did not receive the room booked - king size instead of 2 singles. Raised this with the 'hotel' via text as they did not answer the phone but they did nothing. Total con at £200 a night. Do yourselves a favour and stay somewhere that offers a proper service and gives you the room you've booked in the first place.

Lovely property just wish it had been nearer the town centre. Would go again though

My stay was mostly great and was good value for money, there were just a few things which could be easily improved:
1. The bedding was 2 twin duvets over the 2 twin beds, rather than 1 queen duvet (as pictured in the promotional photograph).
2. There was no chair/stool to be able to sit next to the desk in the room.
3. The towels were all brand new i.e. they still had the tags on them. They felt a little bit grimey, would usually wash before using first time. Not a big deal though.
As I mentioned above, these are all minor things and the stay overall was great good value.

Great location, easy check in, very clean and new
