Friendly staff and clean
Greeting, no one to check us in? Basically left to your own devices! ? Very noisy traffic in the front room 3 and mattress but bouncy!

Very friendly welcome. Very tasty and cooked to order evening meal and breakfast. Spotless room with comfiest bed ever. Entertainment some evenings in a traditional and welcoming place.
Traffic noise in our front room above road. Otherwise, good service and nice village.
4.2
Super helpful staff. Not an issue for the venue but the message from booking.com didn't seem to make it regarding changing the room to a twin and storing bicycles.
The landlady couldn't have been more helpful, despite having to prepare the evening food, in getting the room changed and finding room for our bikes.
Great food, the menu didn't have many options as it's a small pub, but it was good quality british fare with fresh ingredients. Breakfast was also really good with the lady taking care of it being super helpful.
Would definitely recommend.
Nothing.

Lovely pub in a lovely village. Staff very friendly and excellent breakfast.
Not sure if there was a slight problem with the boiler but the shower took ages to get hot but lovely once working.

Staff was very friendly, lovely food although very expensive.
On a busy main road, room was cold as no double glazed windows and awful draughty coming through the windows. Basic rooms

The serve an amazing pint of Guinness
Check in could not take payment
They have never sent a receipt. For work purpose this is shameful
They did not turn up for breakfast.

Sophia was a lovely host.
The room was clean and simple.
There was ample car parking at the rear.
The location of the room, which had an old and draughty wooden-framed window right above the external 'smokers canopy' at the rea of the pub. There was constant and LOUD talking and laughing until way past midnight and banging doors from the pub downstairs until 02:07 (which was the time I heard a loud noise from downstairs, having looked at my phone). My wife and I barely slept a wink. Whatever you do, avoid being placed in ROOM 1. Whether the other rooms are better or not is not for me to say.

A true hidden gem !
Very clean fantastic food !

The staff tried to be helpful but were hampered by a lack of provisions. The bed was comfortable enough.
The management seemed not to be in control of anything. Essential provisions ran out, e.g. no coffee on Friday, no beer on Saturday evening, guests from a wedding party were screaming up and down the road pretending they could sing after 1 o'clock in the morning. The pub management will not endear themselves to their B&B guests or their neighbours if they don't take control of what goes on in their own pub.

The staff were lovely; Sofia was very friendly and welcoming! I look forward to staying again

Ideal for an overnight stay perfect position for travelling up and down M5 to West Country ect, room was clean quite and comfortable, staff were very helpful breakfast sandwich was really nice would definitely use this place again in the future.
4.2
The room was spotless and comfortable with all that you would expect. The communication was good and the staff we spoke to were friendly and efficient
The bar was below the room so it was noisy in the room. The bar area itself was not as nice as the room and the menu was pretty basic plus there is no designated dining area. Overall it is a shame that the standard of the bar area is in stark contrast to that of the room

Meal was reasonably priced and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and bathroom clean. Linen and towels couldn't be faulted and bed very comfortable.
The small bathroom window in room 2 wouldn't close properly leading to the strong cool wind blowing in dust. The green security or fire alarm light in the middle of the ceiling was very bright and intrusive when trying to sleep.

Such a lovely atmosphere and friendly the building has beautiful charm about it
Nothing ❤️

Lovely friendly staff & very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The pub was open until 12.00 am & it got very noisy outside in the garden area, so didnt get off to sleep too well. But I should have checked closing time before I booked.

What a great weekend. I booked the inn as a change from the usual “side of the motorway lodges” and it was lovely. The owners are friendly and hard working and nothing is too much trouble. We had a fabulous breakfast there on Sunday morning. The room was large, clean and comfy with a good separate bathroom. It all looks freshly painted and although simple in decoration has everything you need. The hotel is above a pub so it was noisy on the one night but we solved that by joining in! Saturday night was quieter and it was lovely to have a drink in the cosy pub before heading to bed. I would certainly stay there again. Thanks Richard and Sophia!
The current owners haven’t been there long so are constantly trying to improve things. I liked it all and would be keen to see what changes they continue to make in the future.

Very friendly and accommodating owners. We had travelled a long distance and they made sure we had a hot meal waiting for us when we arrived. Great community pub. It was quiz night when we arrived and we were welcomed into the fun. Our room was warm and comfortable with a good range of consumables provided. The bedroom was nice and clean and perfectly big enough for our stay.
No negatives. Bear in mind though that the bedrooms are above the pub. So if you like to go to bed early you may find it a bit noisy, particularly at weekends when the pub stays open until midnight. The best bet is to join in with the fun in the bar. The locals are very friendly!!
4.2
Clean and tidy. You can have fresh and delicious food/breakfast in the pub.

Great pub/hotel brilliant accommodation, fabulous owners who clearly have a real passion and energy for that type of business. great food, lovely atmosphere and location. will definitely stop again and have no hesitation in recommending to anyone
As always for me, the price of a pint!
