very comfortable, food delicious in restaurant

Restaurant was great - beautiful food at dinner and a wonderful breakfast. The hotel was beautifully decorated and presented, with a lovely outside terrace. Staff in the restaurant were attentive and efficient and the decor beautiful.
Location good - easy to get into Norwich and I'm guessing the Broads, although we did not venture that way.
Good sized bathroom.
We booked a King room and I have to admit I expected it to be so small, bathroom was a bit dated with no hooks for towels etc or a toilet roll holder ! It also needs a decent shower. On a health and safety note - the bathroom is accessed via a short flight of stairs with a low ceiling - no reminders to guests to 'mind their head' - I still have the bruise and I'm only 5' 4''.
Cleaning was a bit slap dash with cobwebs and insects everywhere. Worst of all was the view from the room - over the kitchen roof ( which was strewn with debris) and we were right next ( literally outside the window) the extractor vent for the kitchen ( which does go off when the kitchen closes, but reboots for breakfast !)
Check in was chaotic - no dedicated reception and staff serving at the bar, managing the restaurant and trying to show guests to their rooms.

Lovely location and ideal for visiting Wroxham just around the corner where we wanted to go and checkout the boating holidays for a future date. The decor was beautiful and very clean.
We was put in a room with a terrible outlook! Overlooking all the kitchens ducting I presume where we didn’t manage to fall asleep while later than we wanted because of the noise!

Newly refurbished (2023), stylishly decorated. Excellent location, rurally, close to Wroxham and Salhouse Broad. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Excellent and very filling breakfast. Friendly and helpful team.
Minor but would have been useful to have USB charging slots in power outlets and EV charging available.

The location and decor were beautiful. The staff were marvellous and the breakfast superb.
For us as a couple we are early to bedders and we don’t drink, this made the bar downstairs, which our room was directly above, a bit problematic as regards noise. I think if you enjoy a drink and a late night this wouldn’t be an issue.

Staff was very friendly. The property was very clean. Very nice and spacious shower.
The location information regarding the distances to the city centre and train station weren't as advertised. It is 10+ km away from the train station. In addition, the room is located right above the bar which plays loud music way past midnight.

Nothing but meals were large

Great quiet location not far from Wroxham. We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the patio, bright and airy. A little bit of noise late in the evening from guests on the patio but it didn’t spoil our stay. Lovely patio area for enjoying a drink. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good.
The room could of been a touch cleaner, attention to detail on removing cobwebs and dust on the alarm above the door. A bin liner in the waste bin could have been added. On the whole no complaints.

My flight was cancelled so I needed a place for the night. This was beyond my expectation. Nice country house in a beautiful area. Dinner was perfect with friendly staff.
I wish I could stay longer.
