We were in town for a family wedding. We opted for a VRBO instead of an over-priced, limited square footage boutique hotel. We had large bedrooms, ample living space indoors and incredible outdoor spaces. PLUS there is a beautiful pool table which is actually why I chose this particular property. Then - the management company AND the owner turned out to be incredibly helpful and awesome. Beyond highly recommending.

Everything about the property exceeded expectations ... Thank you to all parties responsible.

This property is amazing; just as described. The house was clean, very comfortable, had new furniture, and the neighborhood was quiet. I also enjoyed the billiard table, sunroom, and patio.
The house is close enough to go to State Street or Stern's Wharf, but far enough away to not feel like a tourist. We will be back next time we visit Santa Barbara.

Lovely property and well stocked. Great location to walk to Santa Barbara harbor and downtown.

Home and location exactly as described but better. Most comfortable beds and plushest towels we’ve found at a vacation rental. Home shows pride of ownership with fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, fantastic outdoor space and natural gas bbq grill. Watch out for an ornery neighbor who approached us about a noisy group the week before. Hopefully guests will be respectful of neighbors so this place can remain available to rent again in the future.

The house was great. It was in a nice neighborhood, an easy walk to the beach and close to beautiful golf courses. The property management was very swift to answer any question and Steve the owner was also swift to answer any questions. I think the only thing is that we looked high and low for the outside lights which Steve let us know where to find them. That sould be in the description so other people who stay can find them. I would definitely love to come back.

Missed the entrance, but after we got in, all was fine. Able to checkin a bit early without a problem.

This vintage 1953 property was in a perfect spot close to ocean and all kinds of activities. The beds were really comfortable, kitchen updated and well stocked with necessities. Loved the pool table! Only downside was not working bbq grill and firepit both of which we hoped to use. If fixed would give this a 5!

Enjoyed our stay.

This house was likely the pride and joy of Santa Barbara when it was built in the 1950s, it is evident that it has not been updated since that time. While the home is geographically well positioned a few blocks from the beach, there were a number of issues we noticed while we were there.
Upon entering the home, we were overwhelmed with a musty smell. If you are looking for a rustic, stinky old wood cabin, this property may be perfect for you. However, we are used to more modern accommodations that do not diffuse that scent.
We ren into other issues. The shower in the master bedroom was what I termed a torture chamber. There are 360° curtains which collapse upon you upon entering the shower. There is no way to easily get to the shower handle. Before getting in the shower, I felt the temperature which seemed appropriate. However, once I was within the 360° enclosure, the shower became boiling hot, nearly scalding, and I could not get to the shower handle without escaping the plastic shower curtain cocoon plastered to my skin.
The plug-in in the master bathroom is loose and does not work. We had to go to the master bedroom in order to use a hairdryer.
The second bathroom is very outdated. The shower pressure was relatively low.
We only had 4 people in the home, however, the dining room really only fit 2, maybe 3
summary, if you are looking for a rustic cabin with an interesting scent & deferred maintenance, but an amazing location, this may be for you. Ran out of spac…

Quaint, but older, cottage with easy access to the beach and restaurants. The master bath shower curtain configuration was really inconvenient. It wrapped around the entire tub (on the inside!) so access to toiletries and the fixtures for temperature control & off/on was difficult to get to without lifting the curtain out of the way. Other than that, it was a good rental! Loved the pool table!

Great location and the pictures are very accurate. There were a couple issues for us though. The shower curtain in the master is a 360 degree curtain that rubs against you on both sides no matter how you stand. We found it to be very uncomfortable and gross. There is no place to set the soap or shampoo as you are engulfed by the curtain. It would be nice to have indoor dining for 6 but as mentioned there is only space for 4 at the tiny table. The biggest concern by far was the owner's constant monitoring of us on the ring doorbell as we were coming and going from the property. When we first arrived to the house the owner started talking over the ring before we had stepped inside. This was clearly intended to let us know he's watching. It was uncomfortable to say the least. My kids who live in Santa Barbara and were not staying with us stopped by the house when we were not there to grab a snack and get some beach games. Shortly after that we received a call that we had too many occupants. Then as a joke, one of our guests put his drink cup in front of the camera as we were entering after that call and the next day we got an email from the property manager saying that they have "accounts" of us covering the camera coming and going so they can only conclude that rules are being broken and we can't block the camera. This type of treatment really negatively impacted our experience and made the stay uncomfortable. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before.
