We stayed at the Highway Hideaway for a VT game. Beautiful place, clean, and very convenient to interstate 81.

Lovely stay in small town VA. We enjoyed the minor league Red Sox baseball game, walks on the greenway, fishing and hiking at Green Hill Park. Yummy places to eat this time… Elderberrys and MacnBobs. Excellent and responsive hosts. It’s a smaller space, but set on a nice expansive lawn. Fireflies caught and childhood memories were made!

Needed to arrive late, no time to try out any fancy stuff, and this little place worked for us. The location is challenging to find due to highway construction, so navigation won't get you there; get your directions from the owner.

We really enjoyed our time at Highway Hideaway. It was a great location for us to get to graduation at Va Tech. The house was clean had everything we needed. The host was great left dog toys for our pup!! Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We love to visit highway hideaway because of its proximity to our family. It is also great because it is a home away from home instead of a hotel! Kid friendly parks, restaurants and activities. Such a great host and the house is fully equipped.

We loved our stay! This is our second stay and it was just as cozy if not more! The property managers thought of everything we might need during our Christmas stay. They even decorated for the holidays… tree and outside lights dazzled my children and made our first Christmas away from our own home or grandparents joyous. We needed to use bandaids, batteries and cooked full Christmas dishes… they had it all. Coffee and a special coloring book for my kiddos was a kind touch. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. My husband is 6’5 so the shower was a toght fit, but there are 3 different shower heads and heights to accomodate height! I was concerned about being backed up to the highway, but it was no issue at all during the nighttime hours. The location is perfect for families because it is on a cozy culdesac where kiddos can ride bike, and the actual property has plenty of grass to run around, too! Also, a great location for VT fans or families who need a space to stay… about a 20 minute drive. Also for people who are interested in hiking… Mcafees Knob is close by on the Appalachian Trail. Very easy check-in and attentive property managers… within seconds of any question I had. We love this spot and will return!!
