Booked a standard double room for one night, but room we had was more like a small double and didnt look like the pictures. A kettle and old coffee machine provided but only 2 coffees and one was decaff. A few tea bags which tasted stale. Bed was clean but not very comfortable. Plain walls and wallpaper was coming off. Hot radiator but was rusty. Shower was okay. Would we stay again - No.

I booked 2 rooms , 1 of them for my 17 yr old granddaughter, i did ask if we could have rooms close , but 1 was on the top one was on the ground floor , when we walked into my granddaughters it smelt wonderful and was nice and clean , but when we went up to ours it smelt of stale cigarettes, was awful i opened both windows , the shower made such a awful noisy, the quilts were made for summer so we all were so very cold , i was very disappointed, was ok for the one night , if we were staying longer i would have complained, close to the beach and amenities, but would not book again

Great value for money. Clean room , great shower, coffee machine in your room with free coffee pods. Location is perfect near Bournemouth pier.

On the good side, the bedroom was clean, the bed was comfy and I slept well. The staff I saw were attentive, the room was cheap, the area was quiet enough and there were great restaurants close by. The bedroom has a great tv. The hotel is close to the beach and the town centre.
However, I have never been asked to pay a damage deposit before. What kind of guests do you get? I am ten years in the hotel trade and I have never had to charge a guest for damages. If I had understood this before I had completed the booking I would not have chosen this hotel.
On the down side, the bathroom had black mould. The room was not serviced during my stay. The hotel does not offer a breakfast. The bathroom fan did not appear to work and the bedroom window did not fit airtightly. The hotel looks tired.
Overall, I got five nights decent sleep and an enjoyable holiday. I suppose I was a bit naïve about what my money would buy in a resort like Bournemouth.

Great location, friendly staff.
Hotel in need of total makeover

Carpark is not good and hotel noisy outside

The staff are super friendly and helpful, overall good value for the room. Very slight smell of damp, probably due to being basement (although did have big wondows onto a small private courtyard so was light and airy) but otherwise in pretty good condition and fairly generous size room.

It's quite good distance from the centre. There is parking. But it's quite tight and you might get blocked in. Room was small but ok. The road outside was very noisy. When I arrived they were happy with where I had left my car but then quite late at night I was asked to move it as it was bin day the next day. All in all it was an ok stay. The hotel is quite close to the centre but on a hill, so prepare to walk up a hill when you return.

The two young staff on the front desk were lovely. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we needed. However, the condition of the hotel really needed a refurbished. Peeling paint, marked grout in shower etc. Be warned, this is advertised as a hotel with parking. What they don’t tell you is that you can be blocked in and have no way of getting out (I was lucky as managed to track down a guest who was able to move one car so I could escape!). This hotel just needs some tlc!!!

I arrived early, as I'd seen that parking was limited, so I arrived at 12pm to ensure I would be able to park,he helped with my bags put them away for me and checked me in, and said come back for the key later, so saved me time later, room was ready an hour early, very obliging.
The furniture in the room was a bit tired looking, but functional!

Check-in was perfect and very accommodating with parking. Room was fit for purpose and as I was only staying a couple of days, it was perfectly functional. Some other guest were a bit noisy; somone banging on the door at 5am when they can't operate the front door as they're getting in from a night out. You're given a door code to get in, but obviously not everyone functions after a couple of drinks and another room with a loud TV early in the morning. Not the hotel's fault though and you get it everywhere.

Easy helpful check-in, room small but well equipped and very clean. Short walk to the beach in one direction and a short walk to restaurants, pub and grocer in the other.

The receptionist was brilliant, but probably an error on my part ,but no breakfast, more of a back packers stay accommodation. Shower knob fell off and Shower initially wouldn't work, i eventually found a switch on the wall in the bedroom to get power to it.
Room 9 be aware.

Very pleasant friendly staff. Food location and nice room. Parking can be tricky but not a major issue.

The temperature of the shower was not stable, sometimes too cold sometimes too hot. Sound insulation was bad. Overall was not bad.

Very poor. Dirty. No heating or hot water. Very disappointed, This is not a hotel, it is more like a private lodge, where customers are not taken care of

Paid extra for king size bed, got 2 singles pushed together with gap in the middle. Don’t believe advert, they don’t have any king size beds in hotel at all. Found something disgusting in the room and got transferred to room with double bed, better than 2 singles pushed together but still not what I paid for. Other than finding unpleasant thing in the room rooms are clean and tidy. Person in reception very helpful so no issue there.

It was a nice break

Up: close to the beach, straight forward check in, nice shower and hot water, friendly staff
Down: noisy radiator, the heating was not on in the evening so it was cold in the room, a smell in the room, there is stain on the carpet

The property location is excellent with easy walking routes to the beach or into the city centre and they had great parking. We were a bit let down with the state of the B&B though as it’s in need of renovation.

First impressions were not great and it didn’t get any better. Carpet in reception was filthy, same in our room. If it was COVID safe I couldn’t tell as everything looked like it needed a good clean. Three different miss matched pieces of furniture, maybe they were trying for shabby chic but they definitely managed the shabby. The only good thing was the clean sheets and towels. All in all really disappointing.

A good hotel for the price - the bar is not open but theres a pub round the corner - it is basic room small but clean and comfortable - good position

Hotel is tired and in need of updating. On arrival created by reception by someone who obviously is not interested in guests. Parking is atrocious as you get blocked in and people ppark in consideratly in really tight spaces originally marked out with smart cars. Overall one of the worst hotels o have ever stayed at with a room just big enough for a double bed a TV with remote that doesn't work a bathroom fan that rattled all night and guests shouting and slamming doors. If you reall like having no sleep akin like some Japanese ww2 torture then this is the hotel for you otherwise AVOID at all costs as they should pay you to stay. Wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Wonderful, friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable room. Floor boards on the stairs were very creaky and the shower very loud! Worried we would wake people up! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Lovely comfortable hotel.
Fantastic value for money.
All staff exceptionally helpful.
Only downfall was the steep hill to beach etc.
But in whole I’d recommend to any one looking for cheap and cheerful hotel with a yummy full English/continental breakfast

Lovely friendly welcome by the owners. Room was cosy and warm. Breakfast was outstanding! Free parking (not often you get that in Bournemouth). We would not hesitate to stay at Brooklands B&B again.

The staff where very friendly and helpful. Although the rooms where small they were clean and had everything you would need

Checkin was easy and staff were extremely friendly. The building itself is a little dated, but the double room we booked was comfortable and of a good size for two people. There appears to be plenty of parking; however, there are two rows of parking spots which causes the the car in the front row to be blocked by the car in the second row. The immediate surrounding area looked sketchy, but I had no issues with my car being vandalized/tampered with. I even had four suitcases, amongst other personal belongings in there due to moving abroad (used this location while in transit). Breakfast was great. There are continental items available, as well as a menu to order hot food such as a Full English breakfast or salmon and scrambled eggs. I would stay here again if I ever pass through Bournemouth during my travels.
