This amazing home is among the best that Kauai has to offer. From the moment that you arrive at Spindrift, you will feel at home. Total relaxation is easy to achieve in the comfort of this home with breathtaking views from every room. Witness both sunrise & sunset without leaving your own private heaven. By simply stepping onto your lanai at Spindrift, you can be touched by some of the best scenery Kauai has to offer.

When you open the front door at Spindrift, for the very first time, you are greeted with an awe-inspiring vision of the dramatic living room & the ocean beyond. The living room is a perfect room for entertaining or to curl up with a good book. The floor to ceiling windows show off the amazing, unobstructed, view of the ocean & the coral reef below.

This formal dining room is an ideal setting for that perfect dining experience with your family or your guests. Open the sliding door to the lanai & listen to the ocean surf & feel the breeze of trade winds as you dine & socialize. The table seats eight in comfort & the tasteful surroundings envelope you and your guests in elegance. The versatile lighting system allows you to create any mood that you desire.

The main lanai is just off the dining room so it’s an easy transition to “retire to the lanai” after dinner or you might want to have your entire meal outdoors. The lanai table also seats eight & there are lounge chairs and end tables well placed throughout the expansive area.

Sit back, put your feet up and just plain relax. Whether it’s watching a movie, reading a book or socializing with friends & family, the family room at Spindrift has all the comforts necessary to make your time relaxing and stress free. The room features comfortable furnishings, mood lighting, flat screen TV, and of course, panoramic views of the ocean and coastline.

If you like to cook, the kitchen at Spindrift will be a welcome treat. It’s updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, custom Douglas fir cabinets, granite countertops, dual sinks, new plumbing fixtures & tile floor. It is fully stocked with all the cookware, glassware & dinnerware that you will need. Other features include a Vitamix blender, toaster, microwave oven, and an ionized alkaline water purifier for the healthiest choice in drinking water. Attached to the kitchen is a cozy breakfast nook that seats four. The kitchen also has an office area with high speed wireless internet.

The master bedroom at has it's own secluded getaway. Located on the top floor & ocean side of the home, it offers dramatic views of the sunrise & the sunset from the same vantage point (during the summer months). The room is warm, inviting & features vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, king size bed, Master Bathroom & its own private lanai with 180-degree views of the blue Pacific & the Kauai coastline.

The 2nd & 3rd bedrooms both feature king sized beds, vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows with views of palm trees & the ocean, and private bathrooms. There is a TV & DVD player in the 3rd bedroom as well.

Pose, stretch, or workout while gazing out of the floor to ceiling windows at the beautiful Pacific Ocean in the Yoga room. This amazing Yoga room includes a bosu ball, yoga mats, foam roller, Pilates ring, and a circular balance beam.

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. Very clean all around and a well-stocked kitchen. Views absolutely cannot be beat from sunrise to sunset. We took the trail down to the beach (which you cannot access directly from this property, the entrance is on a neighbor's property a couple houses away) - it's not bad for adults but made me quite nervous for kids as there are several narrow paths with rocky dropoffs. Walked to hideaway beach, the beach in front of the one hotel, and queen's bath. The trailhead for each being a little over a mile away but definitely doable if no mobility issues.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spindrift is amazing! The photos almost don’t do it justice. Every room in the house has breathtaking views..and all the rooms are furnished so painstakingly careful and beautiful. The expansive view of the ocean was jaw dropping with sun rise and sunset views! The yoga studio- beautiful! Kitchen fully equipped and everything you could imagine was available and just perfect! Would absolutely love to come back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were booked for a different house but the A/C wasn’t working so the team at Hawai’i Life moved us to this location and it was just magical! The house overlooks the Pacific and offers some of the most beautiful sunset vistas I’ve ever seen! The house had everything we needed and then some. Every bit of beach equipment we needed was there. Shampoo and body wash in all of the bathrooms. Super comfy king sized beds with private en suite bathrooms. We cooked a few nights and the kitchen is also fully equipped. The house was clean and designed beautifully. We even had the pleasure of meeting 2 albatross residents! I think this may have been the best vacation rental ever for our family trips.

The property in Princeville was the most beautiful rental we have ever stayed in. Floor to ceiling windows greeted us as we walked in the front door, staring out at the ocean. Every room had a perfect view, including all 3 bedrooms. The living room, kitchen, dining room all were clean and nice. The garage was filled with bikes, beach chairs, towels, anything you needed. The yoga room was great and peaceful. The master suite upstairs was beautiful. Every morning we awoke to rainbows and whales out on the ocean, and every night we stared at the stars and listened to the waves crashing. Communication with Matt and Sarah was easy and direct. When I win the lottery, I'm buying this place asap!

The photos & description of Spindrift on the VRBO website cannot do it justice. My husband, adult children & their friends all raved about the house, amenities & location. It wasn’t easy to leave Spindrift each day to explore the area, but how wonderful to come back to Matt & Sarah’s spectacular home. We loved taking in the ocean views, hearing the sound of waves & seeing the star filled skies at night. Matt & Sarah also made it an easy visit with their suggestions. We now have priceless memories made with our family during our stay in Kauai at Spindrift.

An amazing property along the cliffs of the Princeville coast. Easy access to the Makai golf club, Hanalei bay and great restaurants and state parks. The listing does not do the house justice. Just an amazing experience. The hosts are great and responsive. Cannot recommend this enough.

Everything was comfortable and well stocked from the kitchen to the beach gear! The owners were always available to help with questions we had. The house had amazing views of the ocean and we loved seeing the Albatross nesting in the courtyard. The neighbors were helpful in finding the path to the beach. Definitely a great place to stay on Kauai!!

This was the most beautiful property we have ever stayed in on all 4 trips we’ve made to the island. Everything about it from the views, the house, the amenities are superior to any other VRBO we’ve experienced. Highly recommend!!!

We just wrapped up an unbelievable, relaxing vacation at this gorgeous house. Everything was perfect - especially the expansive, beautiful ocean horizons out of every window, including the great yoga room. We saw whales off the lanais almost every day and had albatross nesting in the front yard. The house is tastefully done and well appointed - we loved every minute and will definitely be back! Thank you, Sarah and Matt, for a wonderful stay.

Matt and Sarah’s home is amazing and we had a fabulous time. We had absolutely everything we needed for our stay, from kitchenware to pantry supplies to binoculars to towels and chairs and bodyboards to experience the coastline. Matt and Sarah are wonderful hosts and checked in with us numerous times before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. One thing I especially enjoyed about the house - other then the incredible view, truly the photos do not do it justice - was that the house has multiple living areas, which was perfect for 6 adults who wanted to do different things like playing board games, watching TV, reading or just enjoying the view. The pockets of living space meant we didn’t have to be on top of each other, we all had room to spread out and occupy the space and not feel cramped or that we were intruding on each other. Our family had a wonderful stay here. The ocean views are stunning and the house layout is both functional and well appointed. The house is also very well stocked with all necessities including bikes, body boards, beach towels, chairs and much more. We enjoyed the walk down to the secluded beach as well as the peaceful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is actually quite nice and quite. The views of sunset are very nice. Beach access is misleading. Found three dead cockroaches in the master bathroom. The air conditioning not effective and some equipment was not working like for drinking water. The property manager was kind to bring water bottles. The rooms upstairs and the other bedrooms don’t look like the pictures and the yoga studio has no air and much smaller than the picture implies. The hosts were quite terrible. They called police to have two guests that were listed in the contract removed claiming that they didn’t know they were supposed to be there. On trying to call the host he wouldn’t even listen. Then they made dealings were complicated by first issuing some refund acknowledging they made a huge mistake but then sending multiple repeated invoices. I’m quite suspicious of these people and what their intent is. We were extremely respectful of the place and treated like it was our own home. We even cleaned all the dishes and vacuumed and sanitized the place before leaving. However, they got our remaining two friends (listed on the contract) removed by police. I have never encountered such terrible hosts. Never visiting again.

This home was magical- from the ocean views with whales to the albatross nests and the beach down below. The location was wonderful and the home had everything for 3 couples. It was very comfortable and the owners were extremely communicative and attentive to detail to what would be needed for guests. We will definitely be coming back!
