I had a comfortable nights stay here . I was going to a concert and stayed over .
Nice and friendly and a lovely breakfast .

Poor hotel, dirty room with blood on sheets. Room was unclean.
Pet friendly but wouldn't let our dog into the breakfast area to eat.
Stench if cigarettes inside, with staff smoking in the entrance as you walk in.
Won't be staying there again

Staff were very friendly, night time entertainment was excellent, hotel in need of upgrade and needs a good clean.

The Risboro is an old hotel and the owners make no pretences about it's slightly tired appearance and condition.
It is a budget hotel with friendy staff and a very good cooked breakfast. My room was clean, comfortable and all the services worked, including the central heating.
It's excellent value for money and better than very many I've stayed in for more than double the tariff. Yes, I would be happy to stay there again, despite the minor shortcomings.

I booked a one night stay for me and my son sat-sun. I must say we really enjoyed it, staff were lovely, food in the morning had plenty of choice as breakfast was included. There was hot food, cereals, marmalade and jams. Coffee was great too. The view from our hotel room was just beautiful as you can see the big mountain. I would highly recommend this hotel, we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Door of room 76 wasn’t repaired after being reported for maintenance. It wasn’t lock at all during our stay. It’s not safe and also it’s a matter of privacy.
3.4
Staff very friendly but the room was old and falling apart, windows and electrical sockets taped up . All furniture and bathroom was either damaged or very poor condition and the mattress was not fit for purpose. They should not let this room as it probably gives a bad impression of the rest!

We stopped at the Risboro for a night out in Llandudno with friends.
I can understand people giving the hotel a negative review if they'd paid a lot of money. However, when we booked, it was around half the price of other hotels in Llandudno so we accepted that we wouldn't get 5-star facilities.
The rooms were basic but all we needed was a bed for the night, close to the town center, and this hotel does that job perfectly.
Breakfast was also included which was excellent and catered for vegetarians well. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

My first day at this hotel was awful i had a room which had one 1 bed yet i asked for a family room, 3 people were staying there, i asled the staff to put another bed there yet they were having a discussion amongs themselves about a bed were it may have gone as asking me am i sure its not in the room i dont think i would miss seeing a single bed , yet im stood there wondering what is going on, i finally get my bed after 1 hour i got my bed then the wardrobe door was almost coming off the handy man took 1 hour to fix it, even he said i dont knw how to do this, the whole place need doing up the food was awful. I asked the staff member for a refund, asked me why, i had informed him taht i wasn't happy with the place he also said to me i dont blame you i woudnt cime here myself. That says alot coming from a staff member, the manager was horrible, looks can be deceiving with what it looks like on expedia then what it looks like when you get there, i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone the worst hotel ever..

If you are looking for something affordable with out the bells and whistles then this the place for you. It is within walking distance from everything in Llandudno - a lovely Victorian vacation destination. The staff are friendly and attentive to customer service. They also have a lovely hot breakfast with kind a and attentive staff. The beds and pillows are worn and rock hard. The water is hot but there is very little water pressure. The hotel is quiet and safe. Unfortunately we did have to leave early as there was a bug issue in our room and we we're getting bitten. Other than the bug issue though the rooms were clean and the hotel is exactly what you pay for.

When we arrived we was put in a room with a bath which was not suitable for myself and my 80 yr old mum .
Thankfully they did manage to let us move
The place is in need of updating .
The food was nice with lovely staff .
The hotel was pretty central .

Late check.in, was 8pm by the time we arrived, so didn't have a chance to check out the room. Very friendly staff and helpful. Went out for food and got back at 11pm. Got on the double bed to find there was a dent in one side which made the mattress sink. However we managed to adjust things and slept reasonably OK. The problem was we ran out of loo paper in the night. It was in a dispenser rather than on a roll so we couldn’t tell . However, we did only oay £79 for bed & breakfast, and the breakfast was lovely.

A surprisingly good stay at this budget hotel. Excellent value for money and a great breakfast on offer as part of the stay. The hotel provides accomodation for those on limited budget and providing you are not expecting 5 star luxury you will not be disappointed.

If your looking for Top spec forget it but if you want a cheap accomadation in good location comfy beds big light room nice breakfast Louise the waitress a marvel of information! Easy parking on roadside the Risboro ticks the box but be warned it has some teething problems creaky floorboards , hearing other guests walking past your room and small telly to name but a few but adds to the character of the place

Very clean, Friendly and helpful staff, seems to getting updated to a high standard. Good quality budget hotel.
Only negative point is the booking in arrangement, only 1 hour allowed between 4pm and 5 pm

Staff were lovely , breakfast was basic not a lot of options. Room was dirty and wall paper and paint coming off the walls. Swimming pool was not working even though it says it was on the website it was.

For the price it was good had a problem with the toilet flush but was replaced the next morning.
Staff was very hard working very helpful entertainment was funny and good 😊
Lot's of low reviews that don't reflect on the place I would return if I ever go again

Friendly helpful staff and fairly comfortable about what I’d expect for the low price. Hotel is dated and in dire need of a redurb

I like the poperty staff were socialble but no wifi for kids bad signal when there was tv was proper small an only about 3 channels

The hotel is central for everything in Llandudno. It does everything it says. It's not a luxurious hotel but it doesn't profess to be one. The bed's comfortable, there's a shower, tea/coffee making facilities and a desk to work on in your room. The car park is a bit of a mess but you can usually find parking on the roads surrounding and there is no parking restrictions on them. Staff are very friendly. For the price you pay it is very good value for money.

Food & service was excellent but a little tired in the rooms so needed a lick of paint

100 % happy with our stay

Only small issue was the towel in one of the rooms was a bit stained and not pure white but it had been washed and was exchanged no problem

We had a perfectly pleasant stay at the Risboro. Sure, it's a very old building and so, as you'd expect, run down. None of the furniture in the rooms matches and it has all seen better days, there's peeling paint and creaky floorboards, but the staff are great and the location is great. You get a decent breakfast and parking included in the price, and that price is very reasonable when compared to everywhere else. I think people expect everything for nothing these days. If you want high end, don't go here. But if you want somewhere to lay your head and get value for money, the this just might be your place - leave your airs and graces at the door and embrace the 'quirks' and you'll be fine!

Basic hotel. Everyone so friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay again

Best thing was Breakfast excellent
Unless you leave kids around toaster to set off alarm and everyone out lol

This is budget hotel and makes no pretence as being anything else. However, my room was large, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the breakfast was very nice. All the staff were friendly and efficient. For staying away in a budget you’re not going to go wrong here!

Avoid at All Costs! The Risboro Hotel is a Nightmare
Sleazy little place, my fault for not reading any reviews! This was, without any shadow of a doubt, the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in. I don't even know where to start.
Connectivity: It's no surprise to anyone that Llandudno can be a nightmare for signal, so you would think that good Wi-Fi would be provided in the hotel rooms. Not the case at all. When I went to the reception to ask about it, I discovered that there's only Wi-Fi on the ground floor, conveniently placed around the reception area. The rest of the hotel is a dead zone.
The Room: Paint peeling off or walls stained. The room was stuffy and smelled like mold. There’s a TV about the size of my hand, no decoration whatsoever, and the tiny room was covered with dust. The bed? I laid down over the covers because everything felt like it was from the 60s or 70s, but not in a good way. There’s a tiny window with a view of a tiny courtyard area full of rust and moss, with water dripping over some rusted metal surfaces and noisy pigeons nesting. The shower room was horrible, with cold water that was warmer than the hot. Flushing the toilet made such a loud noise that it startled me, and the floorboards were super noisy.
Food and Entertainment: There's a basement area where you have dinner, but you have to book this in advance. The entree choices were either tomato soup or a mini glass of warm orange juice from a carton. The main dish was like hospital food. The

The carpets are wet, the bedding was stained with what looked like blood, the rooms are damp and windows don't open - they switched my original room but I had the same issue in the next one.
I left the hotel on the day I checked in (I was supposed to stay for a week) - on leaving the member of staff said he would organise a refund, however when I contacted Expedia to follow up with this, the hotel refused to honour this.
I travel for work so I am used to staying in places which aren't great, for me to leave and lose my money highlights how bad the hotel was.
