The hotel is well worth the money. The reception staff are excellent and facilities on site are good.

Old worn out hotel. Rooms are small and dirty.
There was mould on the bathroom ceiling in my room

Room needs some serious work. In fairness there was a note saying rooms are being upgraded. I dont think they had got to mine yet!

Great Location. Stayed in New Upgraded Room (Hotel still being upgraded) . Room had everything required for stay. Staff very helpful.

St Giles is the best hotel in my opinion and i have been staying there every year for the last 10 years. The location is brilliant the staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable.Plenty of choice for eating.
I will be back next year.thanks.

Good stay. Close to lots to see in London. Elevator an issue as not enough working for how many visitors.

Very small room -very expensive. Staff friendly and helpful. Conveniently situated near Tottenham Court Road station. Only one pillow - I phoned for an extra one. There was a welcome extra blanket. Very good wi fi.
Food in restaurant (I had a pasta) was tasteless. Not ideal to have to add lots of salt and pepper to a pasta dish.

We were on the 9th floor non refurbished room. Very old fashioned and shower was tiny. Not much room to move.
We were encouraged to take breakfast at check in and whilst the advertising of breakfast looked good on screen and billboards in the foyer looked great it was a joke. The tables were shoddy and unset, there were piles of unclean dishes piled on a bar. The choice was terrible and quality very poor. As advertised there were really none of the fancy products like pancakes avocados etc available. However the hotel was very well located and we did not spend any time in our rooms. The room and beds were clean and sufficient for our needs.

Staying here for one night after theatre visit, as didn't want to travel in the bad weather. The hotel is the only place I have opened by bag, and my AiPods was left in the room. I checked out in the morning after 10AM and never opened my bag until i boarded on the train after 12:00 (trying to take out the earphone to listen music). I contacted the reception and customer service, however they came back saying didn't find it :(

Lovely time in London hotel close to where I wanted to he

didn't sleep a wink, couldn't close the window because of an aircon unit in the window
very noisy outside, shower to small, staircases didn't go anyway , lifts always busy
breakfast was good

Basic room, bathroom shower head didnt move, tray didnt empty. Taps tarnished so looked dirty. Bedside lamps in wrong place headbutted it every time we got into bed and beds sank. Room seemes very dated, but hotel being revamped shame not room Me and my daughter stayed in for our birthday break away.
Lifts are very slow, small and always full. With 11 floors 3 working lifts is clearly not enough. Staff all polite, bed made each night and clean towels and cups everyday.

Good generally. The lifts, however, were most unfriendly, with queues and subsequent crushes on most occasions.
A few other niggles:
-Bedroom and bathroom size rather miserly and we felt uncomfortably squashed. Both would benefit from an extra 12 inches (25cms) in both width and length. Thankfully there was a reasonably sized sitting area.
- TV reception was awful, particularly in the bedroom where the TV was not watchable.
- Some missing items that one might expect in superior room, eg tissues, something to stir teas/coffees with, instructions re air conditioning unit, information about the hotel facilities.
Why is information so sparse about the 2nd dining room, ie the VQ? There was no promotional material in the room and signage in the public area is not at all prominent. Only when we were refused a discount for breakfast in the Cucina (where the lady on the door made no mention of an alternative) did we revert to the main reception staff and were told that there was another one. This is a great pity because the breakfast in the VQ was first class, both in the standard of the fare and the service. It deserves proper recognition.

Fantastic location, hotel has a lovely bar but rooms are very basic. No headboard on bed and only 1 pillow which was very flat.
Staff are nice.

Perfect location for the Dominion theatre and was relatively quiet of outside noise.
Room looked modern and recently updated, but a number of issues that made it lack functionality.
We booked a double urban room and had a room with a double and single bed. Room didn’t feel cramped, but lacked storage. Double bed small and a bit hard with just one pillow each. Trying to relax we had to sit on the bed as only one chair, however as the bed was on a wooden floor it kept moving so we had to keep moving it back to the wall.
The bathroom was small, lack space for toiletries and only had one hook for hanging up a towel.
Biggest problem was the room was light at night as the blinds wouldn’t shut fully and had a gap at the top. The fridge in the room but it had a glass door and an internal light that we couldn’t switch off so we had to put our small suitcase in front of the door to block out some light. Also there are opaque glass in the bathroom door and the bathroom window in the wall that is within the bedroom. Using the light in the bathroom at night made the bedroom lighter and disturbed the other person.
Renovations ongoing and we heard banging from 8am despite a note saying it would be between 9am & 5pm.
When we left we waited almost 10 minutes for a lift as none stopped at our floor, ended up having to go down the stairs to get the lift to the right floor to then take luggage down.

Room was very old fashioned and not like shown in the pictures. Bathroom was so small, not enough room to swing a cat

It was an average experience and when i requested for the room heating was not working they offered a portable radiator that was not working.

Nice enough hotel to stay in. However there were a couple of things that could possibly have made my stay more comfortable
Firstly and this is more down to personal choice tbe beds and pillows were far to soft especially the pillows as they were almost flat as soon as your head hit the pillows. Secondly and i know its central London so traffic noise and noisy drunken people staggering home drunk will always be a problem for any hotel and understandably, outside noises are out of the control of the hotel
Thirdly was the exposed cabling from the wall for the TV aerial into the TV im sure there could be a much neater tidier way of it being hidden and also an exposed cable/wire behind the toilet mirror again im sure that could have been tucked away to look neater. I am aware the hotel is currently having an upgrade and im guessing my room and most rooms on the first floor have received the upgrade so wondered how the two exposed cable/wire passed any building management final inspections before being handed back to the hotel management. I would consider staying here again, but i think I'll wait for the whole hotel to have all the upgrades completed. At no point did the exposed cabling/ wire make me feel unsafe in the hotel it was more because everything else in the room was neatly done all power sockets fitted correctly all decorations were done to a good standard and carpet fitted well too
So, at the moment, I'd be giving a 6/10 almost a 7/10 but not quite

Loved location however -
Annoyed that renovations taking place and not made aware of this at time of booking only found out from a notice placed in room upon arrival. No discount offered / not brought up at all at check in either.
