Fantastic super clean place but very hot in the summer

Excellent location. Walking distance to the park and pedestrian streets. Super super clean (the cleanest we have seen in a long time! Bravo!). Quiet. Very pleasant.

One major weakness is the incoherent match between the A/C and the bedding. The bedding was made of a thick comforter that would have been great in the winter, but not in June. Especially not since the A/C in "central" and cannot be controlled by the guest. Furthermore, the central A/C temperature was not constant. First morning we woke up and the room was 21.5C (71F). That was decent. We were hot at night (mainly because of the comforter) but it was manageable. The next morning we work up and it was 24C in the room (75F) and it had been even warmer during the night. Both of us got sweaty at night and woke up often because of that. It's not so much the heat that was unbearable but the winter comforter was too much in that heat... Suggestion : add a fan in each room and 2 light blankets (one is not enough if the A/C is set stronger). These should really be "in the room" and not on request as it's impossible to know what temperature the room will be at. Other than that, we highly recommend the place! NOTE: it appears "heat" is not central and is controllable by guests, so a cool weather stay would be perfect!

Excellent, helpful staff, location excellent, breakfast exceeded expectations, would return.

Cosy, very friendly and helpful staff. Modern room, good breakfast including fresh fruit. Good value, would return. Had problem with room being misrepresented but manager apologised and offered us free breakfast to compensate and a small discount as room was v hot despite a fan. An unexpected bonus. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Arrived at beginning of spring - unseasonably hot so air con not yet functional.

Windows tricky to open, wasps liked our room( not hotel’s fault!) shower not ideal for washing hair but ok. Shower a bit old fashioned otherwise bathroom was good.

Personnels très agréable et souriant, à l’écoute des demandes Au niveau de la chambre: spacieuse et confortable Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et bon

Le ménage est fait seulement en partie durant mon séjour seul mon lit a été refait et les serviettes utilisées changées hors j’étais arrivée un jour de pluie donc malheureusement j’ai ramené de la boue avec mes valises dans ma chambre et le sol n’a jamais été nettoyé

Conforme à mes attentes. Un établissement fidèle à son image. merci à tous, ou presque.

La réponse positive à mes attentes: rez de chaussée, douche italienne. La variété au petit déjeuner.

Une personne des service au petit déjeuner était très intrusive ( indiscrète). Par exemple quand je lui ai montré mon numéro de chambre, EN SPÉCIFIANT que j'étais seule, elle m'a demandé quand arrivait mon ' chum '...je lui ai dit que j'avais 78 ans et que mon mari était mort. Elle a voulu m'expliquer ce qu'était un chum, je lui ai dit que j'avais habité Montréal pendant 40 ans.. et que je savais ce qu'était un chum. le lendemain matin, elle m'a accueillie en me disant, avec sa voix qui porte, que je ne paraissais pas mes 78 ans.! Mon âge est devenu une information publique. C'est une imbécile qui dénote dans le cadre.

très bon accueil, établissement souriant, aimable, serviable, chambre agréable, propre et confortable. petit déjeuné excellent, place de parking dispo sans supplément et localisation agréable. Bravo pour cet établissement!

Wonderful room and staff made for a wonderful stay.

we had the front room with the balcony. it was a bit of a splurge but very much worth it. Really lovely. And the staff were excellent and could not have been friendlier. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent as always!

We have been staying here for many years while visiting family in Montreal. It’s always a pleasure to be back in Montreal as well as the Auberge. The location in the plateau area, the always accommodating staff and the comfortable rooms keep us coming back.

Unfortunately the Auberge does not allow pets so we must make alternate accommodations for him when we visit.

Love this quiet little hotel!

Croissants and coffee very good, breakfast overall very good. Breakfast goes until 10:30, so you can sleep in without missing it. Room was large and clean and bed very comfortable. Location is across from lovely park and is very quiet at night. Bike lane is right outside, and there are coffee shops close by.

Those with mobility problems should ask for a ground floor room, as there are no elevators.

Nice location, fine for our purposes

Cute hotel, friendly staff.It was new years and the value for money was alright but still over $200 a night which was fine but I wouldn't pay that for any other weekend. Pillows were good.

The bed was not very soft and was a split king size so we found it uncomfortable in the middle of the bed. The TV had no options, other than basic cable, we wouldn't even pay for a movie. Our room was on the top floor so it was a bit of a hike to get up and down the stairs every time.

The room was clean but the property was average. The staff was very nice. Beautiful park in front.

I was expecting a bit better based on its bookings rating, but for the price, I can't really complain.

Good place to stay, but check the pricing!

This is a great place! Super clean, calm, and the customer service was impeccable. Coffee was good and plentiful and parking was as described.

My only issue is with the jacked up pricing. The room I stayed in is normally a $90 per night rate, but I paid $250. The nail sticking upwards out of the bathroom floor could have been a bummer, but I saw it before I stepped on it. UPDATE..I was contacted by the hotel (Christian) who informed me that they fixed the issue with the nail, and I was given a discount on my stay. They definitely read their reviews, and I would happily stay there again!!
