Toll in der Nähe des Strandes, sonst nichts gut, außer Lage.
Athmosphäre und die Unterkunft selbst.

Close to the airport. Next to Santa Monica pier and the beach. The hotel reserved a parking spot for us out front of the hotel - there aren't many spots.
The rooms are a little basic and small.

Beware, if you plan to cancel your trip for any reason, the hotel will charge you for the first night. When you go to cancel, they give you two options: asking for the cancellation fee to be waived or cancel and agree to pay $306. When your choice is asking for a fee waiver, the hotel will no longer allow you to cancel the reservation. The hotel states they will get back to you within 48 hours. In the meantime, while you’re waiting for their answer, which is always no, they can charge you for two nights instead of one because you were not allowed to cancel and it takes them 48 hours. I had no choice but to except and pay the $309 in order for them to not charge me for a second night. Remember, booking.com agreed and supported me in waiving the cancellation fee due to my circumstance, it was the hotel, who refused Even with the information that was given to them by Booking.com and by me. Beware! They could have done the right thing, however money was more important, $306 and they were still able to rent the room. I cannot support a business where human kindness or empathy is nonexistent. Who wants to support a greedy business where human kindness is an afterthought.
Two days prior to checking into the hotel, my daughter became extremely ill. I sent booking.com her medical record to prove how ill she was booking.com agreed to waive the cancellation fee of $306, however they needed to get the approval of the hotel in order to waive the cancellation fee. In the meantime, I sent the hotel three separate letters, medical documentation, and two phone calls. They were still unwilling and charged the $309. They still had the opportunity to book the room since my daughter became ill and gave them more than a 24 hour notice.

Location is great.
The walls are very thin. You can hear every neighbor. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade.

ciao
buon soggiorno !

Location is amazing, right on the beach and Santa Monica pier, and close to the main street with lots of shops and eateries. Relatively easy to drive in and out of LA. Bike hire to go along the beach was a real highlight. Staff were friendly, checking in smooth. Quite expensive (because great location) but was good arrangement for family of 4 with 2 late teens because of separate bedroom.
Being close to the beach it was hard to keep the floor and bed not sandy. The 2nd bedroom is off the main room and bathroom so not ideal for accessing the bathroom - which was quite small for 4. Tea/coffee machine would have been nice. Parking at the hotel is quite expensive ($29 a night), better to use the nearby multi story car park especially if you are there at the weekend.

The location was the best quality about this place. Our room had a tiny view if the pier and we walked right to the beach. It was the perfect location
The cleanliness was lacking. We didn't even have a blanket in the room besides on the beds and there were 2 tiny heaters heating tge entire 2 room suite. They didn't work well. None of the electricity worked so we couldn't plug in to charge anything or even curl my hair. For the price, I expect working things. We even had to pay extra for water. We stayed at the bevel Holton the night before and it definitely showed the quality this one lacked.

Great price and close to peri and beach.
walls to thin . Could hear the guy snore next to us and there phone vibrate. The street noise was loud too. Other than that great location and beautiful property

Property is nicely located, in Santa Monica near the beach.
Bathroom in particular was very dirty - hair on the floor etc.
Bathroom is in urgent need of a repair - bathtub with lots of holes in the coating, shower head has not been descaled in years, drain was dirty.
Room wasn't cleaned one night out of 3 stays, despite my door tag asking for it.
Doors are thin and flimsy, definitely don't give a feeling of safety with a building facing the street.
For the price point, this was absolutely an unpleasant experience.

Location was perfect
The shower room was grotty. Did not match the price we paid

The room was cozy,, adorable and comfortable beds. I liked that the sidewalk led straight to the beach and the pier. Plenty of places to eat n shop within walking distance. Jinkys Cafe, excellent bfast spot, large menu, cash only.
Extra blankets in the closet would be nice, free bottled water in the room. If they could make the back gate entrance available to re-enter after you leave, also more lighting by the back gate. The parking lot is tight, so the smaller your car the better.

This is a nice place with a lot of character. It is older, and they appear to be in the process of upgrading. It is worth getting a suite on the second floor. You probably are not going to see the ocean, but it is an easy walk to the beach down a flight of stairs and then about a block away. The people are super-nice and very helpful. There are security gates controlling the entrance to the property. You can't get back in via the gate at the bottom of the stairs, so you have to walk around but this is definitely necessary for security. Regarding the updates, they started with the smart things -- the bed was very comfortable, and the TV seemed new. On the minus side, the remote was kind of iffy and there's no guide to help you figure out where the channels are. But you're at the beach! Most places that close in charge a lot more, and there are some swanky properties nearby. The famous Santa Monica Pier and Palisades Park are within easy walking distance. There are a lot of nice places to eat. They have free Keurig coffee in the lobby.
This is probably not going to be an issue, but the only heat is a space heater. We were there during an unusual cold spell. We were supposed to be in a king room but there was a maintenance issue and they moved us to a suite. I'm not sure we would have been as happy with the first room. The suite was not just bigger, it was much better-appointed. And Santa Monica has the issues that are all over California -- homeless people obviously on drugs. They do appear to do a pretty good job of keeping the beach clean and safe. Kind of unusually, they don't allow dogs on the beach. LA may be the most dog-friendly town in the U.S., but the whole beach park is a no-go for Fido.
