Awesome! Perfectly located, 5 minutes walk to Santa Monica Pier, 1/2 minute to the beach! The whole staff was friendly and so nice, all question answered, help for everything was immediately available!
The safe in our room was not fix

Good location. Nice staff.
Did not have 24 hr room service.
No mini bar
No facilities to make coffee or tea in the room
Elevators not working
Breakfast was ok
They could think out of the box in helping get a sandwich made. It’s pretty basic.

Het hotel is dichtbij het strand en het zwembad inclusief de faciliteiten waren goed. De service was ook goed. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk.

We were very impressed with this hotel. It was modern, clean and inviting. From the moment we stepped onto property we were treated professionally. The staff at the door were always friendly and polite. We were offered a glass of wine at check in which was a really nice touch. We were offered an upgrade from partial view to full ocean view room (with a very small cost to
pay) and we weren’t disappointed! It was fabulous. The lobby was relaxing and beautifully decorated with various art pieces. Very comfortable chairs. Our room was excellent and bed very comfortable. Shower pressure was good (however was over a bath). I loved that you could open the ranch sliders and sit looking out at the ocean. We were able to get a late checkout which was great. We dined at the hotel restaurant several times and had coffee daily. All food was delicious. I recommend the fromage board and the crispy Brussel sprouts were delicious. Only a very short walk to the Santa Monica pier and beach. We couldn’t fault anything at this hotel. Would gladly stay again. Thanks!

The rooms and the beds were great. The staff were super nice and friendly and helpful. The pool was nice but a bit small. The outdoor area was really great. The lounge / restaurant / lobby was very nice and well designed. First rate service overall.
They didn't have coffee in the rooms, only coffee for purchase in the lobby cafe. There is a $40 / day amenity fee they tack on after the taxes etc. The shower water pressure wasn't awesome, maybe I'm not used to rainshower heads.

The Valet and the Concierge were so kind. The location is amazing and the lobby is where they spent all the money for sure, but sad to say that is where the good things end
There are so many things I wanted to love about this property, but not the rooms although remodeled were dingy and fell old the bed was the worst mattress I’ve slept on since college. After arriving and having no towels in the room when they were delivered, they were scratchy and seemed old and dingy. There was no information in the room at all. I didn’t know if there was room service. I didn’t know what was around us.
To top it all off they did an annual fire drill at 9:30 in the morning on a Friday. The fire alarm went off 5 to 7 times in a row for 3 to 5 minutes. Each time we were not alerted to the fire drill until the night before but we were already sleeping so we had no idea , just not what you expect when you’re paying over $500 a night for a hotel we should’ve paid more and stayed at Shutters or Casa Del Mar. we will not be back, and I do not recommend.

Location and staff
Small cold water swimming pool outside located most of the time in the shade - can’t be helped though

A very funky place to stay. Staff were so lovely. The accommodation was perfect - family of 4, two late teenage kids. Breakfast was also lovely.

The location of the hotel was excellent! In short walking distance of the major attractions on the west side of Los Angeles. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and easy to talk to.
4.1
Geräumige Zimmer, zentrale Lage, sehr freundliches Personal.
Die Extrapreise für die Cabanas sind sehr übertrieben, deshalb haben wir sie auch nicht genutzt. Auch das Parken kostet nochmal eine ordentliche Stange Geld (glaube es waren 50$ pro Tag).

The location, facilities (pool, gym) and staff were wonderful. It was easy to get around, with lots of local food options within a reasonable walk. The beds were super comfy, and the rooms were spacious.
The barista staff were not great, took forever each morning to make bad drinks (burnt milk in both lattes and hot chocolates). We ended up going elsewhere for coffee after several bad (and expensive) experiences.
4.1
Comfortable beds, full ocean view, color palette, close to a myriad of attractions
The prices of your food and cocktails. Ridiculously high. We paid $41 for a flatbread pizza that was just meh.

Great location, clean.
No coffee in the room. You need to buy it at thier coffee shop for $7 a cup. For $500 a night they could supply coffee for free.

Overall the hotel was great including the bar and pool area. Rooms and views were excellent plus the location was perfect for all of our needs

Yes breakfast was amazing
I honestly didn't want to leave this horrible review. But due to the fact of me wasting my money, that doesn't sit well with me. My stay at Viceroy SM was pleasant until I came across manager William, who wasn't pleasant. I went to a steakhouse and spent almost 300, party of 1. I didn't eat much and returned back to the hotel. The next day, I had no idea my room or hotel wasn't equipped with a microwave. I asked the hotel manager William if he could possibly warm up my food. (And he simply stated no because of a health code violation). He wasn't remorseful at all!!. He didn't even try to warm up my food in the staff room microwave!! He just declined me, like I wasn't even a guest. And I thought it was strange during the conversation that William mentioned that I live in New York. And asked how do you know I live in New York? He stated, "Oh, because I looked at your profile." I was never checked in by William. This is a huge safety issue for me. Obviously, being a female solo traveler with human traffic this made me feel very uneasy. I wasted money/food and my privacy was invaded

Location fabulous. Bedroom had sea views and hotel located within 5 mins walk of beach, 10 mins walk to pier and 10 mins walk to restaurants and shops. Complimentary bike service. Clean, modern and well appointed rooms. The foyer was buzzing with people and a live DJ around the bar - pool area. Had we been staying longer we would have enjoyed and soaked up the atmosphere. You certainly felt like you were in the heart of Santa Monica. A true young feel good vibe.
Maybe the cost of parking with only valet parking available but this is Santa Monica.

Beautiful bedroom
Wonderful bathrooms
Thé pool is much smaller than we thought ( looking at photos ) not many sun loungers for guest if you do want to relax
4.1
Clean & modern
Paid over $700 night after ad ons, no complimentary coffee in room, wifi is limited to 3 devices, no ice machine in floors, use of swimming pool gazebo is an extra $300USD per day, no hot tub.

Great hotel. Pool area quite small, but really well set up. Main attraction would be the staff, who were excellent in every respect (and doubtless deserve the pay rise that is subject of the current LA hospitality workers strike).
One criticism - breakfast WAY too expensive. Happily, Main St is just a short step away - much better value

Perfect location. Great rooms overlooking the sea. Good breakfast. Gym really nice. Did a yoga class on the beach and took a bike to get there. Would definitely recommend that.
The food in the restaurant was only soso. But it’s a lovely vibe and so we did eat in during our stay. Staff seemed a bit mixed. Management all over it. Wait staff not so much.

The rules they had around what they would serve, where and at what times of day was ridiculous. The photos of the pool area are very misleading. The resort fee is ridiulous because they don't really deliver on the promise. I had stayed at Viceroy in cabo the week beofre, whichw as amazing. This one did not live up to the name.

nothing wrong with it. it really was a great hotel, and I'm high maintenance
