It was quiet and we had the pool to ourselves because there wasn’t many other guests.
Staff was rude. Vending machines nearly empty. Pool was dirty. Roaches in room.
Check in was difficult because hotel refused to accept La Wallet even though it’s law that they have to accept it. Won’t be staying here again. Price too high for the quality.

The location
The staff in the day time the male at the desk is very rude , i made a complaint about no hot water and he didn’t care because no other guest made a complaint about it. I had to find somewhere else to go shower & the pool looked terrible besides the construction that’s going on . Booked for two days only stayed for for a few hrs with no refund available

This was once a very fine hotel. I see they're doing some renovations but its not going quickly enough or as far enough to put the place back to how it was in the 90s. There wasn't anything i liked here.
Everything was not good here. One elevator only and I was on the 4th floor with suit cases. On checking out the next day we wanted to check out overnight say 4 to 5am, but elevator broke and we had to postpone until it was fixed. As i checked in I was thinking why was it that they haven't got the second elevator up and running. Thankfully they got the lone elevator fixed around 10am. The pool is like a gaping hole with green moldy water that needs to be drained and renovated as it was much a part of the hotel back in the day. Mattresses in room very hard. Lighting fixture with low incandescent lighting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They can make it come back to live however, if they decide to put the money in it and bring it back to life.

The ONLY positive thing I can report is that the room temperature was comfortable.
The first issue was the rooms and elevator had an extremely bad mold/mildew and cigarette odor! After reading other reviews it is apparent this issue has been ongoing for several years. The toilet was stopped up and unusable the entire time. After returning from dinner we noticed a truck with painted hookah advertisements. I thought no more about it until later that evening my husband noticed a bunch of hookah "equipment" in the ballroom which was only a few doors down. Worst part is the truck appeared to be someone who worked there. This was suppose to be a kid-friendly hotel, obviously not because there also were bottles of liquor half empty on the walkway to our vehicle the next morning. The pool was as green as a sewage pond and the hot tub had the same tarp over it closed for repair in simliar reviews from guests over 12 months ago. The other minor complaints were that the staff came off a little rude when we asked about a small container of ice (2-3 cups), the only lighting the room had was a small lamp, the TV had cords hanging down and scattered everywhere, the walls had old paint underneath and holes from what looks like previously hung pictures, and the bath tub did not hold water for my 2 & 4 years old to bathe. When I went to checkout the next day, no manager was available to speak with. If I could give a -10/10 I would! DO NOT STAY HERE! The photos are very deceiving!

For one when we arrived they gave us the wrong nmroom, then when we get to that room the heat doesn’t work and many of the outlets were out. I was very unsatisfied with my stay, we wasn’t provided with heaters we had to sleep in a cold room the entire stay. No one made it comfortable, worse experience ever.

There was no breakfast.
Nothing. Remote control did not work, no chair in the room for the desk, the running water was cold. The front desk staff were angry, the electrical wall sockets were loose and barely worked.

Big rooms.
Friendly staff.
Hotel location not far from down-town.
You can smell cigarettes coming out of some non-smoking rooms.
Too expensive for the quality.

Staff was friendly.
The rooms leave a lot to be desired. There were no basic amenities at all. No coffee maker, no hair dryer, no towel racks. The lighting was horrible. They had to bring us a lamp just so I could put makeup on. The first room they put us in, the vanity light just flashed off and on so they moved us. In the second room, after about 5 minutes, that vanity light started doing the same thing so they brought us a lamp.
The AC was very loud making it hard to go to sleep.
Our front door security latch didn’t work so we had to put a chair under the door since we discovered we weren’t in a safe neighborhood after we arrived.
From the outside it looks like one of the nice, older, historic hotels that you see in the French Quarter but the rooms are very run down.

The pool was beautiful and clean
The deposit refund.. it’s been a week and I still don’t have my refund back to my card.

The entire experience here was overly great, the staff is extremely helpful. Location is close to everything that I needed to travel to, rooms were great.
The only downside to this is that there was no iron, microwave, or mini fridge available. The gate wasn't automatically and that you had to get out and manually open it.

I didn’t like anything bout this property .We literally had to change rooms 3 times in the middle of the night . The first room was horrible Nothing like on the pictures . The room was horrible blood on the lamb, stain on the floor, all the the furniture was old. No air in the room.
didn’t get in a good room till 4 am . Check in was Friday we got there late @11 . The rooms was ridiculous so we didn’t get in a great room until 4/5 that morning. Change three rooms & on top of that the last room someone was in the room before us . Had to be someone she knew cuz she made them leave & told us to come in. Very unprofessional especially with COVID going on . The staffing was horrible including the manger that act like she don’t know what was going on when I complained. This company was a big head ache . We also go trapped in the elevator that literally only fit two plp. Wouldn’t recommend my dam dog to stay here . Mold everywhere & roof leaking with stains
