The beds were comfortable.

The owner/operator was SO rude! My friend needed to plug in her oxygen machine over night, but there were no outlets on any of the walls. She called the manager and he came to the room, and indicated she could use the power bar beside the bed. He raised his voice at her and became very belligerent when she pointed out she could not do that. He said something rudely and just left. She ended up unplugging the fridge for her oxygen. I read several reviews before making the booking and so many of them were excellent. I was very disappointed with what we had.

Good!

We have stayed at the Lion Motel several times. The price met our needs, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will continue to book when we need an overnight stop.

When we arrived the owner couldn't find our reservation. He was rude and aggressive. I asked to see the room before paying, he said that I saw pictures on the website and had to pay first, wouldn't let me see the room otherwise. When I paid and then saw the room, it didn't look like the pictures. The floor was spongy and soft under the floor covering! The bathtub was an old ceramic tub covered in hairline cracks. The walls were cement block, even in the bathroom. This is a very old motel that has had no major upgrades since it was built ( probably 1950's). Still use a door key not a key card. Not acceptable. We left without staying. For $130.00 - should not be this bad.

After a late night arrival it worked out well. Right along our route and comfortable.

it’s an older motel and the toilet in our room was wobbly but worked. Room was smaller than lots of motels but worked fine.

Peaceful haven after a long drive.

It was quiet, conveniently located for us and clean. Although quite dated, it was very well maintained. Great view of the St. Lawrence River and the Long Sault Islands.

The room was a little cramped, so might be difficult for a disabled person. Also, we found the beds a bit lumpy and perhaps it’s time to consider new mattresses.
