l'hotel de légende a pris un petit coup de vieux !

magnifique hall et verrière superbe piscine (avec distribution de pommes !) belle salle de bain enorme tele propreté chambre l'hotel de légende a pris un petit coup de vieux mais heureuse tout de même d'avoir fait l'expérience de dormir dans ce lieu mythique !

pas de petit déjeuner compris dans le prix (50 euros/pers est un prix trop élevé) grève a l'entrée bruyante et mauvaise ambiance wc bouchés dans notre salle de bain quartier entourant l'hôtel dépeuplé, triste, sale, bureaux vides, rien pour manger autour de l'hotel sauf Mac Donald.. quartier a ne pas choisir absolument

Hotel de categoría, pero habitaciones justitas

Hotel con mucho encanto y solera. Lobby impresionante, como su nombre indica, palaciego. Buen servicio y atención.

Las habitaciones (sobre todo el baño) son pequeñas para un hotel de su categoría. el wifi es engañoso y es de pago.

Beautifully appointed hotel!

Rooms, beds and linens were wonderful. Location was good and easy to walk to Union square and to restaurants. The breakfast was good in the garden course, drinks were good in the Pied Piper Bar as well. Room service was great as well!

Nice and I would choose another hotel next time for the services was up and down.

Rooms were comfy and clean

Staff were a bit unorganised and couldn’t work out the booking arrangements we had made. Ended up ok and was a bit all over the place to start with. There were not enough staff at the front desk. We always had to wait for at least 15 minutes to be served. With a line and only 2 staff taking customers checking in or out.

El hall es maravilloso, el desayuno es excelente, de los mejores; el personal super respetuoso y educado. Es un estándar realmente de un hotel de 5 estrellas. Totalmente recomendable

EL centro de San Francisco se está quedando como un lugar peligroso tras la pandemia, ya que el teletrabajo tan acusado en la zona de las empresas tecnológicas hace que se haya reducido mucho la demanda de servicios, y se aprecia cierto declive. Para cenar, tal vez es aconsejable irse a otra zona más ambientada y segura con el coche

Sehr schöne Zimmer, Personal an der Rezeption und Concierge sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Hotelhalle optisch sehr ansprechend Frühstück unter der Woche.

Frühstücksbereich unterdimensioniert am Wochenende. Reservierung für Hotelgäste notwendig und Service deutlich schlechter als unter der Woche. Service am Nachmittag in der Hotelhalle unaufmerksam Die Lage ist zwar zentral, aber Market Street und Umgebung sind selbst tagsüber keine angenehme Gegend

Breakfast room chairs looked cheap and made the area look shabby . Doors going into the rooms looked shabby but pleased when we entered the room. Felt the door gave a poor impression which was a shame.

Je n’ai pas pu apprécier la musique jouée sous la verrière car une des fenêtres du 1er était ouverte et il y avait de la musique pop qui se télescopait avec le son du piano rendant l’ensemble désagréable.

Unbeweglicher mäßig freundlicher Tanker mit unbequemen Sofabett für die dritte Person

Sehr schöne Innenarchitektur und Baustil. Qualitativ gutes Frühstück.

Wir haben für drei Personen gebucht, bei Ankunft am Abend war kein Schlafsofa gerichtet und wir erhielten die Auskunft dass wir für eine dritte Person pro Nacht 50€ extra bezahlen müssten. Erst bei Vorlage unserer Buchung konnten wir das abwenden. Das Sofabett war ein völlig unbequemes quietschendes dünnmatratziges Ding auf das nur eine eingewickelte Kunstfaserdecke als Zudecke gelegt wurde. Frühstück gab es nur für zwei inkludiert und das stand dann im Kleingedruckten, auf der Vorderseite der Buchung standen drei Personen inclusive Frühstück. Beim Frühstücksbuffet das inclusive war wurden uns Abrechnungsbons zur Unterschrift vorgelegt die nochmals um die 20% Extratrinkgeld empfahlen was uns als Europäer sehr erstaunt hat da das Frühstücksbuffet für zwei Personen 100€ kostet bei denen nochmals extra 20€ verrechnet werden sollten. Insgesamt hatten wir den Eindruck dass das Hotel ein unbeweglicher mäßig freundlicher Tanker ist.

Simply beautiful old hotel, amazingly comfortable beds and helpful and pleasant staff

Its great location and design but dissapointing for a 5 Star hotel.

Great design, very spacious building, high ceilings, fast elevators

Bad water pressure in the shower, many rooms are still carpet floor for a five star hotel, Hotel does not have any sauna or steam or spa amenities although it has a massive pool.

Beautiful hotel but not worth the price or the lack of proper customer service

Beautiful property and great location

The hotel lacks the maintenance it needs. Each night the pipes hummed anytime myself or any neighbor used their restroom and I didn’t sleep at all. Also, they were not accommodating with the pre paid breakfast that was paid for and included in my booking.com and long story short, I never got to have breakfast at the beautiful restaurant because they couldn’t secure a time or even guarantee seating so I had to have in room dining which was invasive to my privacy and not what I wanted. I’m extremely dissatisfied with this being a luxury hotel.

Location was excellent. The room was very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and excellent, very professional. They made us feel welcome. Lunch in the bar was very good. No complaints.

The menu in the Pied Piper bar could have had more choices but a good selection of drinks.

If you want to feel like royalty stay here.

Wow the service was beyond anything we’ve experienced in quite a while! These employees must be treated well… from arrival to departure all our needs were tended to and everything was beyond what we expected. We didn’t use the pool bc we were on a girls trip and it looked like kids were taking it over lol. But I will def come back w my kids for a treat in the city. We only live 45 min away lol.

i’m glad we chose this place. I would come back again.

I loved how nice the attendance were, and that they were always waiting outside even at night it made me feel comfortable. The beds were nice. The comforter was heavy which was very comfortable. perfect amount of space for two people.

The parking situation was a little bit weird, but honestly nothing too crazy still very worth it.

Good breakfast. Nice atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Early check-in.

Very much disappointed with this 4 star hotel (should we say 3 max) 1. While checking in some woman from the party held in the lobby accused my wife of stealing her purse 2. The hotel does not explicitly state that breakfast is included for 2 adults only per room! All other adults will be charged an additional 44$ per breakfast per person 3. When we booked the room we ordered a crib, which was not in the room, and we had to call room service and wait. 4. The sofa bed sheets and blanket were not in the room - we had to call room service again and wait. 5. The washing toilet was terribly creaky, as it was really old. 6. I was advised to reserve a table for breakfast. I went to the concierge an evening before and she confirmed the reservation. Next morning we went for breakfast and neither my room nor last name were on the list. 6. All sorts of extra payments are super confusing - deposit 170$, authorization for breakfast 38$, then actual charge for a breakfast...and nobody explains what that is for. 7. Unfriendly arrogant staff. 8. An old cheap Keurig coffee machine in rooms. Seriously? 4 star hotel! And all that for 600$ per night? Never again!

Historic elegance in a great location. Lovely service.

Great location. Friendly and attentive staff. Historic building. The Pied Piper bar was wonderful as was the breakfast in the glittering Garden Court . The concierge was so helpful recommending restaurants. All the major sights were within walking distance.

I wish we lived closer as we would be back in heartbeat.

I must say I didn't have huge expectations, thinking the hotel might be a little tired, while clearly very grand as can be seen from the photos. But the photos can often hide many faults. On the contrary, the hotel felt like it had been freshly decorated, with a very fresh feel to the hotel corridors, and our room and bathroom. They clearly spend money on upkeep, which can't be said for other 'luxury' Marriott group resorts we have stayed in this year. The bathroom products were the best of our California trip, so no wonder they have a sign up to discourage people stealing them. The food and drinks we had in the Pied Piper were equally excellent, and again some of the tastiest of the trip. It's definitely a clubby masculine after work vive in there, but our 10 year old really enjoyed eating in there. It felt equally luxurious and maintained. The main breakfast room is, as you will have seen from the pictures, very grand and historic. But again it maintained high standards and felt modern and fresh. The buffet was very good too. All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again, though sadly SF itself does not entice visitors these days, as is well documented. Perhaps that is why this hotel offered such good value.

I guess another restaurant in the evening other than the Pied Piper would be good...given the Wall St aesthetics, but there are plenty in SF of course. Then whilst it didn't score as bad as many places on our trip, they should have more knowledge (and labels) on what is and is not gluten and dairy free (for example the bread at breakfast we had varying responses on if it contained dairy, so lacked confidence), and moreover offer more DF/GF options...especially decent deserts for kids with a dairy allergy! Surprisingly California was far inferior to the UK on the allergy front.
