This is a family owned business and they are working hard to make everyone comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. They have ripped out all the old carpets from the 1970’s, and replaced it with laminate. The room smelled fresh and clean.
My room didn’t have a view and was a little small, but this wouldn’t stop me from staying there again. I like how they have planted flowers and shrubs to make the place look good!

There is a beautiful view
Some more of the lights didn’t work. Didn’t smell all that great. They allowed smoking

The location. It was near the centrd of the town across from the wharf. The room was clean
The complex was very old and rotten - nothing like the pictures on bookinh site. The kitchren was particularly run down and dingy.
The room was expensive

location is great. staff helpful. Beds are good.
Shower variable in temperature. Impossible to control. No condiments to go with the coffee. Very little sound-proofing between rooms above.

The reception staff were reasonably friendly.
Firstly, the place was filthy. The bathroom had definitely not been cleaned since the previous occupants, and I would bet good money parts of it hadn’t been cleaned in over a year. It is old and outdated, which normally wouldn’t be a bother but when you add the layer of dust, the old fridge in the kitchen unit that didn’t work and STANK and the sign that had the gall to suggest that we should clean up after ourselves.. well, I certainly would never pay $192 for that ever again. Truly the worst motel experience I’ve ever had.

The restaurant was closed
The room smelled mouldy and the bed was sagging

Clean and serviceable. Bed was comfortable. WI fi reliable. Walk to everything.
Light bulb burned out on wall track light. Sliders to deck work poorly due to lack of maintenance. Decor is an afterthought and from 1970s. Difficult to carry big bags up the stairs.

Great location and staff. Made the extra efforts.

It was a treat to stay at the Sea Raven - took us right back to our childhood roadtrips. A great location, everything you need, at an amazing price. Enjoy the nostalgia!

I was given early check in which was appreciated. I also asked to change room to upper level which they accommodated quickly! Comfortable beds and pillows.
Rooms and washrooms are dated and could be upgraded. No one was on reception when I got there and had to wait until a local saw me and called the owner.

Excellent location with astounding views of the harbour. The room had a microwave, tv, and fridge and a balcony.
The lack of replenishing supplies in the room such as coffee, tea, creamer, etc.
3.3
It was not breakfast
We have one room, they chargeus for two
It od not esy to deal with them.

I would recommend the Sea Raven and would stay there again. It met our expectations, clean, friendly staff, not fancy but functional. If you want a resort stay in Haida Gwaii, the Sea Raven may not be for you. But for a layover or a base for exploring, it's great.
Nothing

Location is excellent, nice view. Clean rooms and the staff is very friendly.
Parking is a bit tricky and check-in times don't coordinate well with ferry times. We arrived and had to pay an extra 30 dollars to get into the room after an 8-hour night ferry.

My booking was gone so I almost not got a room but it was one last over luckely enough. I got a good room with a kitchen and bathroom and that was perfekt after the starting problem. SeaRaven Motel is in a beautyful place with a viev over the ocean and it's close to everything in Queen Charlotte Village, thats good!
That my booking had disappeared and when I should check out in the morning before my boattrip it was nobody in the office. The staff and I had decided to meet at 7.30 because I should leave my suitcase there cause the boattrip and nobody was there. That wasn't good.

Not much.
First room was by the noisy laundry which was active until 8:30? (ish). the room had a bad door - quite likely wet Mold from the laundry. it was very dark and EXTREMELY dated - like 1970. the slatted blinds did not fit the frame and there was a gap where passerbys could easily look in. there was a walkway right outside the window. the bathroom and toilet were on such a slant your shoulder was uncomfortably wedged against the vanity. the photo is taken on the level. the floor in the room was also slanted so that you lurched when standing from a seated position. only chair in room was wedged behind the front door beside the fridge. VERY DARK!power cords were rolled up in toilet paper tubes. I was transferred the next day on request (and with no apology at all) to the next room over. still horribly dark - the blinds HAD to be closed as passer bus could look directly in. door was less but the bath ran continuously not dripped - ran. hot water, which made the room very moist. the toilet also ran intermittently. horribly dated interior with a curling laminated puzzle on the wall hung on a spike through it. I brought in my own blanket and pillow as I did not trust the 70’s nylon bedspreads.
