The staff was fantastic! The room was clean and it was the on the cheaper side for being that nice of a hotel. The shower was also great!
We had a few homeless people harass us when trying to park and walk into the hotel. One knocked on our window while holding a stick while we was waiting to park and we didn’t feel comfortable walking to our concert venue. I know this isn’t the property’s fault but it was a little off putting.

The history and the architecture
Need room service til at least midnight….a restaurant that is open for all meals…gift shop with some basic needs..(ie: toiletries and basic items like hairbrushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, meds etc

We loved everything about the property! It was a beautiful building and the suite we had on the 7th floor was fabulous. The bed was so comfortable and we loved the shower! Room service and comfortable robes made our day after driving Route 66!
We paid 30 dollars for a valet service but we heard them telling the guy behind that parking was free on a Sunday right outside!
They also don’t open the roof bar on a Sunday, which seemed a shame and was one of the reasons I booked the hotel!

Noise from outside nearby construction through the night.

Convenient location, large rooms comfortable for a longer stay, nice interiors, helpful staff. The historical building of the Mayo hotel is beautiful and has a lot of charm. We enjoyed the cafe on premises with good menu for breakfast and brunch, and friendly staff. Short walking distance to the convention centers (Cox and BOK).
The room had a kitchenette, however, no utensils provided. Would be more convenient if couple of sets of utensils was put in the kitchen drawers.

The coffee shop was nice and the lobby smelled really good. The decor is pretty.
The staff was rude. They all seemed to be overworked and understaffed. At check-in, I was just handed my room key. I wasn't told where the elevators were or where my room was. I wasn't told anything. It was easy to figure out, but usually, hotel staff tells you all of that. Weird. Also the parking. $30 valet or you park on the street. The front desk said they hadn't renewed their permit for street parking even though there is a sign that clearly says "hotel parking." The hotel has great potential. It's a beautiful building. They need better staff and more of them. The coffee shop, which also serves room service and full meals and bar drinks, only had 1 person working at a time. 1 person to handle the bar, make cocktails and coffees and food AND run the orders up to the rooms. No one smiles at this hotel. I see why. The valet man is the only employee I witnessed smiling the whole time. Give that man a raise. Needless to say, we won't be back. The Rennissance was far far nicer.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and our room was spacious and comfortable.
We were put by the elevator and near the vending machine so any noises in the hallway were disturbing especially after 10pm and into the early morning. The penthouse bar was not what we expected. The view and bar are very cool but my husband had two beers to select from so the local craft beers advertised were not available. The fee for valet and parking is $30 and for this we waited in a tense line for 20 minutes while blocking the street. Once we got to check in ,the front staff that assisted us was condescending and rude. She actually laughed at my husband when he had trouble with the signature pad. So don’t expect great service or support from the hotel but you will have a nice atmosphere to look at.

extremely noise in the alleys and streets at all hours of the night. Room was average at best. Hotel restaurants operate only a few days a week.

we love historical hotels. The Mayo is an excellent choice for a stay for a concert or event at BOK center, less than 5 minute walk.
Dining choices are very limited. we utilized room service option for dinner before we went to concert. On a positive note, the food was very good, price reasonable, and service outstanding.

Beautiful hotel in good location
We booked a city view room and got a view of a roof with an Aircon unit. Receptionist attitude was disgraceful. Gave us another room with a similar view, just another floor up. ordered dinner in the bar and surprisingly turned up in takeout boxes with plastic cutlery.

the property is absolutely gorgeous. I love the pictures throughout the walls that showed all the history of the hotel. the bed was really comfortable and my whole family felt very safe. my wife and I travel a lot and the Mayo Hotel is one of the nicest boutique hotels we’ve stayed in
I wish there was a bellhop that would’ve taken our luggage upstairs
