Going to a motel across the street.

Associate allegedly called me to tell me my card was declined. I never received a call. They gave my room to someone else and then tried to upchage me.

El personal no fue demasiado amable ni útil. Hicimos la reserva por booking y al llegar allí nos dijeron que la habitación que habíamos reservado no existía y que teníamos que pagar un extra por otra. La calefación no funcionaba y no tenían ninguna manta extra. El mando de la televisión literalmente no tenía pilas. Mucho ruido en las habitaciones que dan a la carretera. Ningun tipo de aislamiento en la puerta ni ventanas. La limpieza muy cuestionable. La ducha no tenía presión ni agua demasiado caliente. El precio es barato pero después de pasar una noche allí te parecerá caro.

They did not advertise that they had smoking / non-smoking rooms when i booked two rooms for 6 of us and did not have a non-smoking room for my 70 year old parents. The rooms were Very dirty. The floors were sticky, and walls dripping with nicotine in smoking room. Bathroom door was obviously kicked in at some point as casing was broken and door poorly patched. Pool was a nasty green and out of service, and so was the ice maker. There was half eaten food on the grounds, and someone even used the plunger and then tossed it outside in the courtyard. To top the enjoyment off my poor folks were woken up at 2 am by some crazy people banging on their door trying to find someone else.

They have done a make-over update of the rooms, with new fixtures, flooring, and clever shower stall. White sheets. Very pleasant staff.

White blanket’s washed but still stained appearance gave me pause, but it WAS basically clean. The wear is showing through a bit with detached Formica, cracked bathroom door, corner tear on mattress—things any group of guests could accidentally have done to it in a tight space, I suppose. Traffic noise on one side may bother some folks.

I always choose motel 6 in Bellingham best value and the staff is wonderful

The staff is absolutely wonderful they are there to help where they can and I've stayed many times great value and always pleasant

Nothing special.

I don’t think there was a breakfast.

There were no towels in my room except a washcloth. There was less than 1 roll of toilet paper in the room. I had to go to the office for both. The ice machine was out of order.

Staff that checked me in was super friendly. Room was affordable and pet friendly.

Not the cleanest place - blanket and sheets were stained, it looked like the floor had maybe been swept but not well - stuff under the bed, kind of gross spot under the desk of unknown origin? Nothing too crazy but could deter a more phase-able traveller - and about on par for my past motel 6 stays.

Disappointing

The staff was fantastic. Very nice and accommodating.

The room looked like the only thing that was cleaned were the sheets (no bed bugs, thank goodness, I checked). The floor was filthy (good thing I brought my slippers), the top of the microwave had dried food and fingerprints all over it, and there were crumbs and spatters on the inside. And there were hardly any available plug-ins and none available close to the bed.

I choose the Motel 6 for its proximity to my daughter's apartment. I can safely park my car and be at her door in 5 minutes. When our visit is over for the day, we each have our private space to go to. I do want to give a shout out to the office staff who are always friendly and helpful.

I've stayed in much better Motel 6 locations. The shower is teeny tiny and the top mattress sinks all the way down. I chalk those up to "get what you paid for." Where I really have the problem is the no smoking rooms that have ash trays (filled ash trays at that!) sitting on the ledge of the airconditioner/heater units. Now how is that stink not going to make its way into the rooms?? One time I stayed there was a couple smoking away and barbecuing right next to the stairwell! Again, I stay there only because of its proximity to family and I do appreciate the office staff.

Another one bites the dust...

Never have any problem bringing my pitbull and doesnt cost extra. The staff was very understanding. And had no problem accommodating me again. The head house keeper takes pride in her job. Keepin it clean and tighty. 👍

The fridge wobbled, when I opened it would hit the wall. But I fixed it.

NEVER AGAIN!

It was on the 1st floor and I was able to snag a parking slot directly in front of my room, even though I was informed by the staff upon Check-in that they could not guarantee a slot would be available for me in their parking lot.

Everything else! The room was advertised as a double with a Queen-sized bed. I chose the room because of the price that booking.com advertised through their site. Yet, I was charged the regular nightly rate of $96.00, approximately $20.00 more than the 'special rate' advertised. And, in direct conflict of their promise stated in no uncertain terms on the Motel 6 - Bellingham's website to NOT use the Credit card you had to provide to hold the reservation, they ran it for the cost of the first night. I had even been asked on the site to check the option if I wished to pay upon arrival, which I did - and they still ran the card. I had intended to use my credit card for payment, not my debit card I had used to reserve the room. This caused an overdraft of my bank account, even though I declined the charges because I thought it was a clerical error on their part only to find out they intended to charge that card all along for the first night. It was around 10:00 pm when I finally arrived at Motel 6, exhausted from a four and a half hour drive in traffic at night. According to their website, there was free coffee and doughnuts available in the Lobby (no Lobby, just a standing room only check-in/office.) In the corner was a Mr. Coffee coffee maker with a coffee-cookie scorched to the bottom of the glass carafe. The clerk informed me that if I wanted coffee in the morning, that I could bring a cup down to the 'Lobby' anytime during the two-hour window allotted for Breakfast. She also stated that I should get there early before it's all gone. I finished checking in and pulled around to my room. I opened the door and was overtaken by the musty dank odor that can best be described as that of a dirty, musty, dry-rotted, wooden gymnasium floor in an abandoned school. I held my breath and ventured inside, luggage in tow.

The bed was crammed up against the heat/cooling unit. One person could move at a time. The room was washed in the sounds of I-5 traffic all night.
