wonderful history which is why we were there
our bed light did not work. Our ceiling fan made clicking sounds and louder if faster. Worst situation was the hot water for the shower took at least 10 minutes to get hot...no one expects that for a luxury hotel.

didnt have breakfast, but love the lobby and high tea.
TOUR WAS GREAT!!!
response from front desk lacking.
ice machines were not working and asked for some ice to be sent to my room.
never came.
Phone didn't work (no battery in handset) but speaker ok.

The history of the hotel. The breakfasts were very good. The bedroom & bathroom were very comfy.
The noise of the Afternoon Tea/band that went on until 19.30 on the Saturday we arrived. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned the 1st day as the maid hadn’t been by 18.30.

Beds, lobby, staff
No hot water in room 616 the night we arrived , next day after 2 phone calls to maintenance, a young guy arrived turns the water on for 5 minutes before hot water finally came on. The 2nd sink in bathroom both knobs were broke and didn't work. Some one dropped pieces of bread in hallway when we arrived and was never vacuumed, was still there when. I left yesterday. parking was always full. Not enough lights in rooms

It is a beautiful building and the interior lobby is just gorgeous.
I would have like a few more outlets in the room. I could find the thermostat either so had to sleep in a hotter room than I would have liked.

I was very disappointed in the breakfast. I thought my biscuits and gravy would be amazing and it was just ok. Biscuits were very overcooked and the gravy was greasy and almost inedible. Pancakes were just ok.
Service was very slow and seemed flustered

history and location
The room wasn’t as expected. There were a few things not up to expectations. the bathroom vanity needed maintenance, the box springs on the bed were just exposed instead of covered. We felt the small maintenance items and things that make a room look a step above we’re not done.
We had made reservations to come and do brunch and found out the morning of our stay that brunch wasn’t in the restaurant AND doesn’t have good reviews since it was moved. We canceled that but would have liked that email prior to the day of.

Nice central location. It was a vintage hotel with character. The staff was very pleasant. There was overall a good ambience.
The bathroom smelled of sewerage. I think it was emanating from the toilet... through the piping. Very hard to get over this. Flushing the toilet help somewhat but not 100%.

Exquisite historical building, fabulous decor, fantastic spa, and elegant afternoon tea service (one of the best I’ve experienced )! Fun Cigar and Whiskey bar was like stepping back in time! The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.

This beautiful historical hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Denver within walking distance of shops on the 16th Street Mall and the Denver Art Museum. There is a wider range of food and beverage outlets. Staff were very friendly and helpful and assisted me with my needs and concerns. I loved exploring the different floors of the hotel, including the historical Dr Sun Yat Sen suite.
The bar gets very lively in the evening and you can hear the music in your room. But it all finishes well before 9 pm.

The door to our room could not be closed without slamming it so hard that it would disturb everyone in the vicinity

I always had a great experience pre-Covid at the Brown. Inuse
felt the quality of the property has not been kept up

The parking is expensive and we couldn’t get a cigar and drink because there was no space. Why do the restaurants close so early. 10pm.

Loved the room and the service. Beautiful, restored hotel in an historic area.
Quality of the breakfast was poor, and expensive...it's the middle of summer, but the fruit plate was awful...looked like someone just ran up to the local Safeway and bought some stuff

Staff were good.
Wait for room
Bed very hard

We loved the music and drinks from four to seven, and the convenience of the restaurants.
