Location and price for JMU homecoming weekend.
Breakfast is canceled indefinitely. Room was non smoking but definitely smelled of smoke and the comforter and chair both had cigarette holes in them. Cobwebs along all ceiling walls. Shower doesn’t drain well. TV remote didn’t work. Couldn’t find a parking space when we return after the football game so had to “create” one. No extra toilet paper and what was there was not a full roll.

I honestly would never recommend this place to anyone.
We stayed for two nights and left the second night; our first room reeked, the sheets and bedding weren’t clean, the AC and ventilation was rusted from possible leaking, and in general was very unpleasant. I woke up the next morning with bed bug bites up everywhere and even though we were offered another room for our second night free of charge, the room wasn’t much better. Honestly, if your passing through Harrisonburg or you want to visit JMU, do your research and look for better places; this place does offer the cheapest prices in the area, but it’s absolutely not worth your money or your time.

The toilet ran the whole time. The air conditioner only work 1/2 way. The TV volume cut it self down and you had to turn it off and back on. The light when you first come in didn't work.

The air conditioning was not working and not cooling only fan was working. When checking out the AC, it seems to be an extremely old unit or without maintenance…

That it is Wyndham affiliated because my last name was Windham and I figure since I’m high quality, the hotel would be also. I was wrong.
After my own experience and reading all the reviews and responses from the business ownership/management on here, I’m calling them out. Review after review states how disappointing and how dissatisfied the customers were with everything, just like I was. Repeatedly, the company apologized for their experience and we strive to…blah,blah, blah! One look at the hotel and unfriendly staff shows how much they strive to go above and beyond. Upon checking, in itself was concerning but I’ll go into later, I went into the corridor, which smelled of strongly of cat urine. I immediately realized, people live here. No judgment! Been there done that! Go in the room and immediately know I can’t leave my luggage on the bed for fear of bed bugs. Strong mold odor, room wasn’t very clean upon entry, door had to be slammed to be shut. Not a place for anyone to feel comfortable or safe, at all. I have never seen a business take less pride in it’s upkeep in every aspect of the word. It’s a con and they are thieves. I paid twice for the stay and I’m working on getting money back as well! Also side note, I’m the parent of the person and saw first hand. I apologized for even recommending the place and I put them in a suite for the night! should’ve paid the extra $ to begin with!! Even on booking.com $72. Per night is too high for this property when you’ll spend $100s of dollars in fumigating your home from bed bugs and cockroaches for the next year!

Location, fair price, convenience to other locations
Bed spreads need to be ragged out when stained, floors need to be swept and mopped for dirt...floor looked cleaned but wasn't. Fridge didn't work. Didn't see any breakfast offered.

everything was great for the money. The staff is understanding and was willing to go the extra mile to see that i get the best daily rate seeing i stayed for 2 weeks and paid the daily rate the whole time.
THE WIFI sucked. IT never worked the whole time during my stay the only WIFI THAT DID WORK was close to the office so if u stayed on the other end, YOU GOT NO WIFI AT ALL FIX THE WIFI

the cigarette odor the minute you walked in the door, the burn holes in the blankets & cover, the broken toilet seat, the rusted refrigerator, the awfully made beds, the wallpaper with the wrinkles from a previous leak, one cockroach. We grabbed our own blankets from the car to sleep on cause we were exhausted and had the 2 yorkies to tend to

I did not stay there. Their wifi was down. They informed me at the check-in counter. So I cancelled the reservation via Booking while I stood there at the counter. But.... Booking.com did not respond! So the hotel was forced to keep the room booked and was forced to charge me. I am still working through this dilemma, trying to revoke the payment to Booking.com

I did not like that place!
All!. There is no service at all. The room was dirty, ugly, old. We found a cockroch in our bed, hairs in the sheets.
Unfriendly stuff. The manager was not planning to reimburse the payment, but thanks to booking customer service, we could cancel the reservation, and we finally got our money back.

Well for one online it said that they have breakfast in the morning and they do not as well when we got into the room to finally lay down and watch some TV there was no remote we saw cockroaches crawling in the bathroom and I called the office to ask for a remote and he said you got to remember this is a motel not a hotel what does that have to do with a remote for a TV. He was sort of rude they finally brought us a remote but I will not stay at this motel

Sort of got what I paid for so to speak. The price was good & only needed to stay for one night. Not a place for a couple of day stay. The bathroom and room itself are old because the hotel is old. I don't think any remodeling of any sort has been done. Staff was friendly, room clean, bed linens clean but just old.

This hotel really needs some upgrades. The TV was just ok, the sink was cracked. the refrigerator had been unplugged and left open so I could only guess it didn't work? it's just out of the 80s in terms of decor and comfort. I'm sure they get the business, especially on busy weekends at JMU (which was why I was there) but a $200 rate for some thing that might have been just as good as a much cheaper Motel 6 didn't please me.
