We liked that this hotel was a good price for a one night stay and that the hotel is close to the interstate and many food options. The staff was very kind and friendly and there was plenty of free parking.
The bathroom tub had a strange colored stain and the beds were not comfortable. The elevator also feels like it “falls” a little when you get it and sounds like things are grinding against each other in the elevator shaft- it feels unsafe while you’re on it with more than one person. The breakfast included hot food but everything hot we tried was inedible- the potatoes were crunchy still and the muffins were wet inside, just to give two examples.

Bed was very good bathroom was clean ac worked tv was good breakfast was ok luggage carriers were available
elevator was out, we were supposed to be on an upper floor but I am having a problem with stairs right now so the clerk relocated us to the first floor. I believe the elevator has been out of service for some time now :(
It would be nice if breakfast could start at 630 instead of 7, there were several people waiting for it.

Location
When we arrived first the elevators were not working and the attendant did make us aware once we arrived. I let that pass because we were already there and we were on the second floor. Once we get in the room I had no complaints until I sat on the bed & seen dried up blood on the comforter. Front desk did move me from room 223 to room 316. I never encountered a situation like that before

Convenient to JMU and good price
Elevator was broken, hotel was old and not maintained, sofa mattress needs to be replaced, moldy shower, everything in the room was unplugged when we got there - every single lamp. Carpets were old, water pressure was dull, sheets were extremely thin, bed pillows were little squares, only king size sheets were left for the sofa bed. The double beds were a touch smaller than a normal full size - smaller than the full size beds in our own home. The breakfast was not very good - there was a waffle maker - not sure if it was the syrup or the batter that was “off”, but it was one of ‘em.

Nice room. Very accommodating front desk. Accept pets.
Breakfast was very disappointing and boring. It was very limited with no eggs, sausage, bacon. It had cereal, white bread for toast, no bagels, or English muffins. The juice dispenser had ran out of orange juice. The coffee was weak and not brewed.

Didn’t use the shower, there was something in it. When I mentioned it the next am, was told it was rust.

The king bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Breakfast was very dissatisfying. Waffles when cooked were hollow and a hard crisp shell.
Muffins weren’t good.
Eggs were too rubbery.
Didn’t eat there the 2nd morning.
The elevator was alarming. Motor sounded very rough.
We used the stairs several times.

Room was small.
Breakfast was scanty. Not much in the way of fruit or food for diabetic persons. Don't think the food was replenished quickly.

Comfortable bed
Noise from room above us from 2 am to 4 am. Plus the bathroom could have been cleaner. Tub had stains and trim by door hadn't been cleaned in a while.

Location
The property is poorly staffed and maintained. The hallway floors were not cleaned — stains and loose pieces of litter on them. Our room had a used washcloth hanging on the shower faucet when we arrived. The desk clerk herself came to clean the bathroom, presumably leaving no one to attend the desk(?) .The bed was sloppily made up, making us unsure if the bed linens were clean. A strip of black duct tape had been put down under the door to cover the seam between the hall and room carpets. The elevator was downright scary and some patrons were using the stairs to avoid it. It shook and jerked and made strange noises. The bathroom sink and fixtures appeared new but the shower looked old and stained. Staffing: when we arrived no one was at the check-in desk; we had to wait over 5 minutes. Later I saw the same thing happen to another arriving customer who was pounding on the door at the manager’s entrance to the check-in desk. At breakfast, we found no one in attendance to replenish the food and utensils. The pet waste container was overflowing.

Very pleasant, safe hotel to stay in. The breakfast was very good, too. Clean and room and bed were very comfortable.
All was fine.
3.5 / 5.0
The room was comfortable and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There was what appeared to be pet hair on the bed spread. The office style chair was missing an arm and the hydraulic cylinder did not hold pressure, so the chair would go to the lowest setting in a matter of a few seconds when you sat in it. The temperature setting label on the shower was missing, so the only way to figure out hot from cold was to play with the adjustment. Also, to be a king size bed, it had the smallest pillows you could find. Even though there were 4 of them, they were still small. We ended up buying king size pillows from Walmart.
Overall, none of these were really big issues, and are not a deal breaker for staying there again. Just pointing them out because you asked.

There wasn't much of a breakfast unless they had more after I left.
The parking, not much space at the front of the hotel by the entrance. Plenty in the back with no entrance.
