The breakfast was good.
The water coming from the faucet was cloudy and looked like it was unsafe to drink. The walls were thin and it was easy to hear people in the hallways. The beds were also very uncomfortable and the sheets felt like cardboard.

Petit déjeuner convenable.
Excellent emplacement
Le manque de propreté et l’état général de la pièce.

I liked the entrance, however we were sent to the back where there apparently was another building. That building had a different name ‘Blue’ but was actually our accommodation.
There was nothing to like about the property. Very misleading!
8.0 / 10.0
The accommodations the staff had made for our stay. The complementary drink and breakfast vouchers. The comfortability of the bed.
The parking was very crowded, hard to get to the gravel lot with the congestion in main parking lot. Only downside. And not having microwaves in rooms .

Location
According to booking.com there was a pool and on arrival there was no pool. My kids were highly disappointed

Location. Comfy beds. Eggs and bacon were done well.
Shower water didn’t drain well. Bathroom fan must have a screw loose. No hooks anywhere. Sink was incredibly low. No counter space.

From day 1 of 5 stays we feel booking.com mislead us in this rental. This hotel is now a best Western but we were not advised at reservation only as we checked in. The hotel doors are magnetic strip cards. We daily had to go to front desk to have reset. So aggravating. We were told call for any room needs. Day 1 shower was trickle water and head did not stay in place so it would hit you as it fell down off wall. Fridge took two days to get cold of a 5 day stay. Called for towels never brought. Called end of day finally brought on 2 towels no wash cloths or a hand towel. Day 3 went to desk asked for an iron, mine in room poured water out of it nonstop and drenched my clothes. Told would send right up. Never came, after 2 hours changed outfits and left. Called next day for towels full sets and again still need iron. They brought 2 towels and iron. The shower has mold on outsides of shower doors and carpet is dirty /nasty. I'd say this is a 2 star vs 3 listed. Do yourself a favor skip this. Worst hotel we've ever stayed out. Also beach is not free access, it's 30 dollars per person to enter beach due to HOA private beach. Also, the rooms do not look like the pretty pictures they look used and abused. The breakfast was dried up eggs and sausage cut in half rationing pieces and both cold. They had cereal and bagels thankfully but we avoided after day 1 and eat at great places across street.

The location was the only redeeming factor
Based on the photos and location i thought this was going to be un updated clean room. THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH!!! When i checked in i was told I needed to check in at the other entrance. The other entrance is a run down old hotel, the room was dirty, there’s no cleaning services either. Our sheets were either stained or dirty. It was too late to go elsewhere. It’s in a good location though so I’d safety, cleanliness and outdated hotel hotels are your thing, than this is a good fit for ya

First, I want to note that most of the really bad reviews seem to all be about the BACK BUILDING. Which is a separate hotel that was purchased by this one. Just make sure you get a room in the main Becket Hotel building and you will be fine.
We were really worried after reading reviews but we were happy once we got to the room and saw it.
We were on the bottom floor in the back corner of the hotel.
When we checked in there was a long line so that took about 20 minutes. (it was 4:30p) They gave us cards for breakfast which they said was in Beckett Tavern. We didn't end up using them so I am not sure if it was a continental breakfast or if you could order something. I also heard them saying that just last month Best Western bought the building, but not the back building.
The room was clean and did not have any kind of bad smell the carpet looked fine and was not stained.
There were 2 beds, a chair, tv, and a small fridge. The bathroom was a good size but the shower was really small.
There were enough towels for us so we didn't have to ask for more. We did on the final day have to call for toilet paper which they brought to us right away.
The beds were comfortable and the sheets looked thoroughly washed. The AC worked well.
This was a lot better than we expected after reading the reviews.
I forgot to take pictures at the beginning so these are from the end of our stay.
1. Barn door for bathroom. Not that private
2. Shower is small. Water pressure could be better.
3. The curtain is all or nothing. No sheer curtain to let light in w/o people being able to see in.
4. Took a while for things to get cold in the fridge. (we used the ice bucket instead)

Enjoyed the fire pit. Talking with people while we enjoyed it. BBQ restaurant was nice with really nice bartenders. Relaxing grounds. And a great location not far from the beach and shops.
Rooms could use some updating. But good for the price.

Facilities were clean and most of the staff quite friendly. The Romanian gentleman wasn’t friendly. A smile would have been welcoming.
The beds were stiff and not comfortable.

The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable!
The shower was not great. The shower head is far too large for the shower and you have to practically plaster yourself to the wall to get wet.

Breakfast was fine. Some fruit and a protein would have helped.
Hot tub please.

Great location. Nice fire pit in the evening and bar in house.
Not very clean. Killed more than a few spiders/bugs in the room.

We didn’t have towels at time of arrival.
There were some leftover clothes under the bed from the previous customers.
The shower door was stuck(off track). We had troubles getting in and out of the shower. The tub was partially clogged.

Pretty Much nothing! So overpriced. A resort fee? Seriously? This is far from a resort, more like a dump! Will NEVER stay here again! You have some nerve charging upward of $300/night over the Labor Day weekend. You will have some very unhappy guests at that price!
Shower leaked, no privacy curtains, dirty carpet, no refrigerator, no microwave, filthy parking lot area, horrible pool area, you advertise a restaurant and bar that is non existant. The place is dilapidated & in need of serious upgrades. You have nerve charging what you charge, but there are always those idiots that will pay! Keep taking advantage of people!

Location
Outside areas needed more attention and cleaning. Felt dirty and unsanitary. Some general upkeep and regular maintenance is needed.

Did not have the breakfast. The location was good for our needs.
The bathroom could have been updated more. It was difficult for two people to both get ready in the morning.

Nice location in South Lake Tahoe, good price and allowed pets.
Hotel appeared to be old and our room had carpet with stains. Suggest any hotel that allows dogs to have hard floors.

The front desk staff was awesome, I appreciate there loyalty and I will be coming back to this location. It’ll be my spot every year during the summer

The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and shops and there was an old game room with pool table, ping pong table, and TV for netflix.
Arrived to hotel at 6pm and Didn’t receive rooms until 8pm when check in is at 4pm because there were no clean rooms. Instead was put on a “waiting list” When I had already paid and reserved the rooms months ahead.
Very sketchy stairways and parking lot to get to tahoe blue building. Rooms smelled bad and we could tell they were rush cleaned because toilet and sink were still very dirty. The building was old and very dusty with no staff at the desk.
No hot water our first night.
I really wouldn’t come here again, I only stayed because the rooms had already been paid for.
Also very pricey for the quality of the place.

great area to eat and shop

your bathroom faucets were coming apart and barely worked in the shower.
#1 You did not have a microwave !

Easy to get to from the road, staff was friendly and helpful, parking spots were available, things were brought up when needed.
The floors and walls in the room were dirty, the tv wasn’t working well, I asked one night for an extra blanket and no one was available to bring it.

Breakfast on the weekends were held in the bar area which was perfect and flowed easier. There is a restaurant and bar which you get 20 percent off on your food and $2 off your drinks. The rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable, they had a nice pool with outside areas to sit, you can bring your dogs, it’s at great location walking distance to the shops and food at the village. It’s not even that far to the beach if you wanted to rent a scooter or even walk it’s not too bad of a walk, otherwise it’s a real short drive. I really liked my stay though and was happy with it, I would go here again for sure.
They don’t do room service except at certain times if you ask so they don’t regularly clean out the rooms and restock. Which wouldn’t be a problem if they had trash cans in the area , they had no vending machine for drinks except an old broken one and a vending machine with snacks. Didn’t like that the bathroom wasn’t separated from the sink bc it made it hard for people to all get ready since there was mirror. And the bathroom door is a sliding barn door style which is cute except it leaves a gap so all the steam from the shower gets in the room. The staff was overwhelmed by the amount of people and the breakfast for the week days is kind of awkward in the lobby and they ran out of most of the breakfast items like bagels and butter which sucked somewhat.
10.0 / 10.0
Location was great, beds were super comfortable, staff was very nice. There is a beach located right down the road (walking distance) but tends to be extremely busy on the weekends. Some of the hotels offer beach vouchers that wave the $25/adult entry fee for the public beach, but unfortunately hotel Becket does not even though it is within a short distance to the beach. Overall great stay
Didn’t offer beach vouchers

Location being close to shopping and dinning.
The room had a bad odor like wet carpet possibly mold.
8.0 / 10.0
When we went down to the fireplace they turned it on right away, the rooms were very clean, and it was at a perfect spot.
The pool was so far from the hotel, and it is very hard to find parking during weekends.
