This boutique hotel is beautiful and well maintained. I was going to get an upgrade to a bigger suite but I didn’t want to do stairs. Needless to say we stayed in a first floor room and the place was very welcoming. The beds downstairs were small and firm but we made it work.
At this hotel is a wonderful Italian restaurant but the employees were working directly in front of room 420. So after work they were very loud although not for long but still loud. The morning was the same. Banging tubs, pot and pans and talking loud.

I cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful establishment. We absolutely loved our stay, right on the Malecon but just a few blocks removed from the noise. The room was gorgeous with unique art, furniture and aesthetic touches; the bed was so comfortable and the bar was extremely well-stocked with snacks, drinks and coffee and the bathroom was stocked with everything one could need (except, weirdly, no lotion!). The palapa/sun deck was a great extra space to enjoy sunrises/sunsets, the continental breakfast was modest yet tasty, and finally, the staff - I cannot speak highly enough of the kind, professional, conscientious staff (especially Cristian!) who made us feel welcome at every interaction. This is a beautiful boutique hotel and far exceeds its value for the price point. We are already planning our next trip, and will absolutely stay again.
I suppose the only thing that could have been better was the Wifi and cell signal was poor while in our room (but was fine right outside on the patio), but we didn't want to look at screens anyway so it wasn't a problem.

the location , flowers , the Oliva restaurant . Paying the extra for a junior suite upstairs is essential
no breakfast provided even though there was a room all laid out on the terrace but no one could explain why it was not being used

Liked location, decor, room size
Rooms are dark, refrigerator was noisy, no breakfast and the room had an odour.

Beautiful boutique hotel, with great Italian Restaurant attached.
Really would benefit from having a pool, and breakfast options...You can get good breakfasts close by however.

The room was lovely and comfortable. Nespresso machine in room for early coffee. Bed was very comfortable. It took awhile for the shower to get warm but that is ok as it is hot there. Staff was lovely.

Beautiful and very tasteful designed apartment. Spacious bathroom and large terrace with ocean view. Close to great restaurants and cafes.
No privat parking available.

Great staff.
Traffic noise was terrible late into the night. Had to leave 5 days before end date and no refund.

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated, conveniently located, friendly and accommodating staff

The location was perfect. Directly on the malacon Yet there was no street noise. There was a quaint Courtyard with a morning coffee area. The rooms were decorated in an old Spanish-style. The beds were comfortable. The perfect location for downtown Lapaz.
The drain in the shower was too far forward. The tile sloped to it which made you feel like you were falling forward to position yourself send yourself under the showerhead. May have been a problem for elderly.

Our room and its enormous bathroom was beautifully decorated. Someone has gone to great care to make sure that every need has been anticipated and met.
Even beach towels were supplied.
The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows.
The hotel is right across from the Malecon and has a lovely interior courtyard and open living room area upstairs, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Nothing.

location. decor was
a little pricey but worth it

The staff was welcoming and professional and the hotel premises were lovely. The room was mostly well appointed, with some nice thoughtful touches. It’s nice being able to just walk up the stairs and be at Oliva al Mare.
The only reason for my less than stellar rating is the specific room I was in, number 420. It was the only room they had left and it was instantly clear why. This room is on the ground floor, under the stairs and facing the kitchen for Oliva al Mare. So it’s extremely dark and it’s noisy. They did their best to make the room comfortable but there’s only so much you can do with a location like that. What made it worse was that the air conditioning had that horrible moldy musty smell. I know it’s a common problem in hot countries but it was really extreme. I think other rooms at the property are probably much better, but they should turn this one into a storage room. Not at all worth the price I paid.

Traditional, beautiful collection of rooms. We stayed in the standard rooms but next time we’ll treat ourselves to the wonderful looking suites on the upper floors.
Shower a bit cool, but when it’s 100 outside who cares?
