niets, alles was perfect!

Spacious tent from where you have a beautiful view over the garden and the valley. Even from the shower you can enjoy this nice view. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good breakfast and dinner from local produce are served in a close-by local restaurant with very professional and friendly staff. We saw the quetzal bird (the main reason why we stayed here) on an early morning tour which was a nice experience.
The dirt road to get to Tami Lodge is very steep and definitely requires a 4WD. But as this is a known fact no issue.

We loved our stay at the Tami Lodge. Beautiful location. We had so much fun watching the birds from our room and at the restaurant. Dinner was fantastic.
We couldn't figure out the hot water. 🤷♀️

the restaurant on-site had excellent service and quality meals. Its small and family run, but the menu is diverse and Juan does a good job catering to your requests. its hard to quantify how beautiful the views are. falling asleep to mist rolling over the mountain with the sound of waterfalls and cool rainforest air was the highlight for us. the yurt does not have outlets, but the nearby restaurant does, and we didn’t have any problems charging our stuff. Everyone there was super trustworthy and accommodating. I left camera equipment out charging and was never worried. I wouldn’t rely on the restaurant wifi for zoom video conferencing, but it’s sufficient for emails. we saw several quetzal and the hiking is awesome. the organic coffee tour is a must. this place actually is a sustainable business- just ask about the coffee farm and the initiatives to help local farmers.

Views from the rooms, privacy, and cleanliness. And the FOOD was amazing and super good price.
A little bit overpriced for locales. Also, I recommend not taking the tours they're offering or checking expectations before paying. They're super expensive in comparison and the prices are not ok not even for foreign tourists. I've done a lot of tours and this was underwhelming. They charged $35 per tour per person. We took the waterfall hike and we visited only 1 Waterfall, only 300 m in the forest, and 1,5 hours when they say it's a high adrenaline and adventure tour with lots of waterfalls and 4 hours. It was a shame :(

Beautiful surroundings - we fell asleep listening to the waterfall. The room is lovely and clean with comfortable features and the shower was clean and hot (a rarity in Costa Rica!) Friendly family and the restaurant serves huge, tasty, homemade food. We wished we had stayed longer!
Nothing - be prepared for no electricity but the famiiy charges your devices for you at the restaurant. Also make sure you have a 4x4 as the roads can be tricky

A hidden jewel in a beautiful valley. Breakfast was good and so was dinner. Very friendly, helpful staff. Not a very easy place to get to without your own transportation. Would go back!
Seating on the deck. The bench was facing the room instead of the gorgeous view!

I would recommend Tami Lodge to anyone - as long as you have a 4x4! The drive is part of the adventure, and once you get there it is amazing views, comfortable beds and awesome waterfall shower. We were impressed with the kindness of the staff and how all the activities support the local community. This is meant to be an 'off-grid' experience so wifi is only available in the restaurant - not a problem if you are happy to disconnect!

I liked everything about this place, its location, food, breakfast coffee, tent room without electricity, shower with open view, quietness, simplicity, all of it. Tent room was clean, beds provided with plenty warm blankets for cold nights.
I would be even more happy with this place if it had more comfortable mattresses. Every morning I woke up broken and stiffed because they been so hard.

Nice, calm and remote location. Great view from the room and bathroom. Staff is extremely nice and friendly. Good food in the restaurant. Also the area itself is nice, with many flowers, birds and two waterfalls in walking distance.
Bed mattress was a bit thin, so the bed is not very comfortable.

The lovely situated glamping cabins - all sustainable and ecological - have a wooden deck with a beautiful view over the cloud forest, very quiet. We were welcomed by our guide Alonso which whom we booked a Quetzal tour the next morning. On the tour Alonso was able to find a Quetzal and explained everything with a lot of passion and competence. The farmer owning the land is given a fee out of the tour price so that he can keep it sustainable for the wild live. The adjacent restaurant provides simple but tasty homemade soups, salads and dishes. People form the little village were very friendly and welcoming living up to the slogan 'pura vida' - we would love to come again :-)

Juan the owner was extremely warm and thoughtful, he made sure we had enough food on days we had trips and were leaving and was prompt to respond to anything we may ask. The rooms were large, with quirky sinks/showers and the bed was soooooo comfy, with extra blankets as it gets cold at night! Alonzo was one of the best guides we had on our whole trip in Costa Rica. He's very passionate, extremely knowledgeable and an asset to his local village. Juan has done a great job of setting up a perfect little eden, and for anyone travelling to Costa Rica you would be a fool to miss an experience here. Skip the crowds of Monte Verde, go to a true unspoilt cloud forest where you are welcomed genuinely and don't feel like a sheep being carted around the place. We did the quetzal and coffee plantation tours and highly recommend both.

This location takes some effort to arrive at...a 4x4 is definitely needed! Having said that, it is totally worth the trip for a very unique experience! The Valley is a true gem and leaves you with a heartfelt sense of community!
Juan made us feel welcome and so happy that we had spent time at Tami Lodge! His on site restaurant offered affordable, delicious meals.
Alonzo, our guide, took us out for early morning birding and shared much info as he patiently worked at locating the Queztel...success 😃
All the staff were attentive and friendly.
Honestly, we can not think of anything we were not happy with! The comfortable tenting without electricity and outdoor showers were a real experience!

The setting is stunning, the staff are very kind and helpful and the food is delicious. There are a number of activities on offer. We did the quetzal tour with Alonso as a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. He not only found the quetzals for us but was also very warm-hearted company and great with our kids (7 and 12 years). We also tried the forest adventure park which was great fun.
When we found out last minute that we needed to get to the airport sooner than expected Juan (the manager) sorted this out very effectively.
Due to the small size of the place and it’s limited number of staff you cannot expect to do the activities exactly at your preferred time but the staff do their best to accommodate your needs.

Isolation in nature, ecological approach and very friendly staff

We loved the obstructed views of mountains and nature and virtually complete privacy. The waterfall was amazing and falling asleep to the sound of it was even better. It’s a great place to recharge and immerse yourself in nature.
We would have appreciated doors or a small gate to feel more secure at the entrance of the cabin. We saw someone naked walking into their bathroom because of this issue; there are no front doors to enter your room.

Amazing place in the middle of the quetzal national parc. You need a 4×4 drive to get there. You'll be rewarded with a stunning view and really friendly and pationated people crazy about their little place and nature around. The breakfast and food in the restaurant owned by the caretaker of tami lodge was very good. We hired a local guide Alonso for birdwatching and the adventure parc and both was rewarded with a lot of fun and exquisit views of the quetzal birds and more. Need to do!
