Nothing. Everything was great.

Location was nice and a quirky old building
Bathroom very small.
The owner sometimes came across a little abrupt.
He didn’t really seem to be a people’s person.
A strange little set up, but it was cheap.
You certainly get what you pay for.

The room was lovely and warm when I arrived. The owner explained how to increase the heat if I needed it and there was a fridge with milk in along with tea and coffee. The meal in the pub was nice and the pub itself had a lovely atmosphere.
The bed could benefit from a new mattress, Although because I was on my own I could avoid the lumpy parts and I had a good nights sleep

Expected an English breakfast and just got toast and cereal.

We very much enjoyed our one night stay at the Stag's Head. The location is lovely. The outside areas are greatly enhanced by lots of lovely planted pots. It has a Mediterranean feel. I had chicken Souvlaki and my husband Lamb Moussaka. Both were delicious. We also enjoyed our continental breakfast in the attractive dining area. The staff were excellent, the owner taking the trouble to chat to all guests. If you want a quiet break in a rural spot complete with a historical church at the top of the road this is it!!

Situated in a lovely village. Comfortable room with easy access, as requested, and charming discreet decor. Small bathroom with good shower. Appreciated the small fridge with real milk for tea or coffee. Continental breakfast was delicious and very much enjoyed the choice of fresh fruits, including apricots, strawberries and nectarines, presented with Greek yoghourt. Very welcoming hosts. A delightful overnight stay. Thank you.
Probably my fault for failing to notice but the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening. Parking was limited. Because of the location, there seemed not to be wi-fi reception.

All good.Highly recommended

Location & good value
Mattress saggy for me - I didn’t see a warning via the booking site that place was closed till 5pm on Tuesday. In fact the email says chk in from 2pm . The pub’s website is clear that Tue they open from 5pm & restaurant is closed that day. Basically it’s fair enough that the pub has restricted hours on some days but booking.com / email should reflect that so everyone is on the same page.

Very clean and cosy in a beautiful location, everybody was very friendly.
Could not find anything not to like.

The beers were really good
The lack of choice in the menu

Dirty, damp towels and bathroom. Suspected people from the bar area used the room beforehand.

The area was beautiful with chocolate box cottages and flowers blooming everywhere. It was quiet and peaceful, it was like stepping back in time.
Our room was not particularly clean. There were 2 mass clumps of cobwebs, one down the side of the bedside table and one in a corner up against the skirting board. The carpet had several strands of cotton on it and goodness knows what else that you could feel under your feet. I was trained and have worked in hospitality and I know that if I had left a room unclean I would have been in trouble. It was not clean enough for paying guests. It looked like the furniture hadn't been moved to clean. I could tell that cleaning was a basic task because the ridges on the mirror were black with dust/dirt. There was a small white clock on the table, which I thought had been given a distressed look but on closer inspection when you ran your finger over the top of the clock and rubbed it you could feel and wipe off the ground in dirt.

Good staff, good pint with a nice pie and an enjoyable continental breakfast. Small but adequate room.
A cold day and the heating took a while to come to a pleasant temperature.

could’ve been a bit cleaner (cobwebs and dust around the room)

Dinner was great, the menu was not long, but finding some Greek food options on the menu was intriguing and it was yummy. Breakfast was also great, with fresh fruit, muesli, and great bread. The staff was exceptional, very friendly and professional, and just turned up at the right times. We would certainly come again!

Lovely quaint little pub, rooms were clean and very comfortable with warm welcoming hosts. The Greek food in the restaurant was beautiful and the continental breakfast was lovely. Stomatas and Faith could not have been more welcoming. Would most definitely stay again.
Could have done with bath sheets as towels rather small. But not a major issue just personal preference.

Warm and cosy place. Fabulous hosts, ideal location, very quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and food in the pub.
For sure, we will come back!
