Location was great! Room was incredibly decorated and loved the history there. Staff when we checked in was very nice!
The steps! Also did not like checking in and out at another facility.

Loved the top floor apartment, nice quiet bed, nice bathroom and wallpaper
Very squeeky floor boards,
its quite a warm apartment in the summer without aircon but with windows open it was lovely to sleep in at night

Room was big with a lot of character. The old timber and wooden floors were very nostalgic. Location of hotel is excellent, right on the river and in the center of the main town. The breakfast was A+.
The room was on the very top floor so it was a little warm during the day, air conditioning would have been a plus. At night it was fine with the windows open. There is no elevator so be prepared to walk up steps with your luggage. I didn't mind but it could be an issue for some.

This hotel was amazing. My partner and I didn’t even mean to stay in Regensburg for the night but had to book a room last minute due to a medical emergency during a cycling trip. We were forced to stay in town for four nights total, which the hotel staff accommodated with much compassion despite it being a very busy weekend for them. We got to keep our room for the whole time, which had a gorgeous view of the Danube and was incredibly quiet, both of which were optimal given the circumstances. The kindness and care with which we were treated really made the difference during this time and it meant so much to us both. The city of Regensburg is an absolute gem (as is their hospital) and it all combined to ease a very stressful and undesirable situation.

Location is fantastic. The rooms are clean and quite pretty. The breakfast buffet is incredibly good.
The rooms are not soundproof. Beware of this. If your idea is to spend a nice relaxing stay there, ask first if they have a party or an event in the social room they have below. Unfortunately, the night we spent there, there was a party with a DJ. And even though the noise level was not that loud, the room was literally resonating with the lower frequencies of the music. So falling sleep a bit more difficult. We calle the staff and they were friendly enough to offer to change our room but it was already quite late at night. And apparently they had no control over that event.

location and price and soundproofing
obviously the historic building has some areas of degradation like the bathroom shower but it was still comfortable
4.3
Lovely room. Great bathroom. Comfortable beds
Difficult to park or even stop outside so carrying luggage became a problem
4.3
The property is very historic.
Being a historic building we knew it might be older but we did not expect it to be so “rustic”.
4.3
gorgeous
elegant, authentic, beautiful view

Gorgeous! Like being in a castle
nothing

Great location, like sleeping in a castle on the Danube. Very quaint yet with modern amenities and wifi. Great breakfast at Hotel Goliath.
There were 73 stairs to our room. It was not easy but the castle like setting made it worthwhile. Parking was in a garage a few blocks from Hotel Goliath where you check in. We left our luggage at the hotel reception, parked the car (it must be small!) got our luggage and walked a few blocks to Hotel David with our luggage. It could be a challenge for some.

Super location, genius loci, very well preserved and decored room in historic building. Absolutely amazing!
Very slow wifi

Hotel David was easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The sound proof room. The decor. The epic bathtub. And not to mention an amazing view of the Danube. When I return to Regensburg, it will be to Hotel David.
What's not to like?

Old authentic building.. hotel team have worked hard to add this to their offer.. Central location for restaurants, the amazing Bavarian Museum… and the must-see Freedom Halle.. but be sure to download the apps first (the app gives you free audio of the entire tour..plus a 360 degree videos..).
Noisy students singing and music playing from 1130-0230hrs every night.. not the hotels fault. Also, wouldn’t want these room when the weather is bad and you end up spending a little more time in the room.. it was quite small.. not the hotels fault.

Great location for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing.
No check in or parking at location! Booking.com website mentions you can park in front of the hotel (Wrong!). It’s on a major road with no possibility to park. Plaque on hotel wall mentions check in at Hotel Goliath (first time knowing about this!). Found park garage around corner and walked 5 minutes in unfamiliar city with small luggage to Goliath where we checked in. Then we walked to David. Very stressful situation.
4.3
Nicely designed rooms at a central location.
We could not work the vintage bath faucets and ended up with a tepid shower on a cold day. Cigarette smoke from the restaurant below was a nuisance.

Unbelievable location!

Location, facilities and the irreplaceable charm of a building that has weathered many centuries.
Just perfect
4.3
The history of the building, the cozy feel, the location, and the river views.
No elevator, no AC, cramped bedroom with unnecessarily oversized bathroom, no reception (located at Goliath a few min away), no parking, key cards kept losing their programming. Upgraded my room halfway through my stay to the Goliath - so much better!
4.3
Very nice ancient building. Interesting architecture, nice staff.
We couldnt see the danube from our room.
4.3
Excellent location! Perfect for walking because it’s right in the city central! Fabulous breakfast!
All staff very accomplished in customer service!
Glass doors for bathroom? Pretty & allows light into room, but not functional.

Doesn‘t get much better in Regensburg! Amazing location, authentic but modern and comfortable interior.
Only minus is the fact that there is no elevator.
