Breakfast was just what was required and presented beautifully on a tray. We chose to eat outside in the sunshine in the courtyard
Just one small niggle. I was woken in the early hours by the standby light on the TV starting to flash red/green. No idea why. It stopped when I switched the TV on then off again

The arrangements for booking in were emailed before our arrival and required the use of key codes to enter the building. But everything was straightforward. We met the caretaker the following morning and he was both friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was continental and was both tasty and sufficient. Because the weather was good, we were able to eat it at a table provided outside.
The site was secluded and peaceful with a large garden to wander around. The village itself is quiet and attractive with several thatched cottages yet only a short distance from a major trunk road.
The site is less than a 20 minute drive from a Park and Ride hub near Cambridge and we conveniently reached our destination in the centre of the city.

No fridge in the room.

We booked 4 rooms as were visiting the village for funeral. Each room was exactly as described, and as in the photograph. Everything is immaculate & warm & cosy. The owners were v thoughtful checking my requirements for each room, and agreed we could leave cars there whilst at funeral etc. One of my group had mislaid mobile but few texts in morning it was easily located in his room for us. So the communication & assistance was perfect! Breakfast was spot on, huge bowl of assorted chopped fruit is provided & warm toast. We ordered breakfast for various times & that was not a problem either. Thankyou as it made a difference to an emotional visit to the village.

Lovely clean room, excellent facilities and a wonderful breakfast.

Easy check in, large room, very comfortable soft bed, excellent shower! And breakfast to the room!

Breakfast was excellent, and Hemingford Grey is a really lovely village. The riverside walk to the ‘Axe & Compass’ for evening meal was delightful…
A ‘Summer weight’ duvet would have been more comfortable, the one provided was a bit heavy and warm for the time of year…

Classy high quality accommodation for a reasonable price. Location is out of the way so you need a car but St Ives is only 10 minutes away and has several restaurants and pubs.
Nothing.

The breakfast was nicely presented with a varied choice of cereals, fresh fruit, toast and preserves. Delivered to your room.
The location was in a pretty village behind electric gates and very quiet.
There was nothing not to like

The hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. Grounds and garden beautiful.
Nothing to dislike.

Breakfast served in room was fantastic both in quality and quantity
The fact we had to leave!

The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The grounds were lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The property was secure. The host was responsive to our request for fresh towels.
The bathroom was not user-friendly. It never dried out after showering and the heated towel rail wasn't on so our towels were always cold and damp (hence our request for fresh towels). The wash basin was too low and had no dry space for toiletries.

Location, quiet, large comfortable room and well equipped en suite
Whilst breakfast in our room was okay, we’d have liked a table to eat in at rather than on our laps

The location was excellent for us to wind down. Entry to the lodge was easy and secure. The local community was a delite and the facilities very good.
Nothing stood out.

hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Beds were comfy, lovely quiet location. I would have liked information that the breakfasts were taken in our room on the info page on your site. We only found out by talking to the hosts after booking.
Personally I found the dark decor in the rooms rather depressing.

Beautiful room. Comfortable bed.
Staff quite forgetful - we had no tea tray when we arrived and the fresh fruit was forgotten with breakfast.
It was very dark when we arrived and we found we had to use our phone torches to enable us to safely navigate to our room.

I am in love! What a fabulous place to stay at.
The room was perfect, cosy and warm . As a child I wanted to sleep on a cloud, I think I almost did at the Lodge! Nice breakfast, served to the room.
Friendly and professional hosts.
I am certainly going back!
