Very unique, personally hosted by Peter and generously gave us beers on arrival. Arranged for us to have dinner nearby at the Ruddington Arms which was excellent.

The lodge was beautifully furnished, clean and warm. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
Peter was a fabulous host and really helpful.
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like but I do feel it is better for quiet guests. We weren’t noisy but we’re conscious of any noise travelling with another family staying downstairs. It would not put me off but would not suit anyone wanting to party there.

I do tend to write reviews, both good and bad. Check out my other reviews. I try hard to be fair. I rarely use superlatives because superlatives are rarely deserved. Not in this case. This place is superb. We booked into the Garden Suite which itself was exceptional for the price. However, unexpectedly, the larger suite was available and Peter the perfect host suggested we have a look. Wow! A little more expensive than the Garden Suite but frankly Peter could have charged twice that differential and I would still have taken the larger suite. Over two floors. Ground floor has a dinning table exclusive to the suite and where breakfast is served. There was also a baby Grand Piano to add to the palatial feel. Upstairs is huge. Very tastefully decorated in an Asian style with tasteful and interesting fixtures and fittings. It really 'worked'. There was a large and comfortable lounge area, a very comfortable and large double bed with tiger tripe bed set that managed to look classy rather than tacky. The view from the bed through some 'designer' Asian theme trees framing what seemed an endless English countryside at its best view accross a gold course. An ample and spotlessly clean bathroom in the middle and another bed and lounge area, a little smaller but very much complimentary and in sympathy with the overall look and feel. Another small balcony looking onto the front garden area, some private parking exclusive to The Lodge and then accross the road to a school and beyond. I stood on that balcony for over fifteen minutes at around 9:30pm and not one car passed by. It was so quiet. We had an adequate evening meal at the pub five minutes down the road. We were able to specify specific breakfast requirements by texting Peter. The breakfast was fresh cooked and served and as good as any breakfast I have had anywhere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thanks Peter! Steve.
the pub food was ok but only ok in my opinion. other than that, nothing.

Fantastic boutique hotel as just two suites, but very comfortable, homely and all facilities. Can sleep 3 in one suite and I think 5 in other, so good combination.
Owner, Peter, has built the perfect lodge and was an excellent and attentive host, I’ve already booked place out for next visit to Nottingham in February.
Nothing to dislike.

Loved everything about my stay. The setting is a little haven in an already beautiful village. Peter is an excellent host and was there to greet me on arrival and helped me to the room with my bags. The suite was more than I would ever expect from a BandB, really was luxury with every comfort on hand. I did not want to leave and will be back the first chance I get.
Perfect stay with absolutely nothing to critique.

This was a superbly presented venue, truly luxurious. The owner went out of his way to be helpful, accommodating an earlier than scheduled check-in, providing bespoke breakfast, booking local dinner arrangements for us. I would definitely go back here again.

A gorgeous place, breakfast was special. Peter is a dear - got us dinner reservations and suggested the car museum up the road, turns out the track was having a race day - a fantastic day of racing.

The host was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was your choice for time and what you wanted to eat.

My stay with Peter was a last minute chance booking. But honestly the best little B and B I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. To be greeted at the gate by a happy helpful person after a 4 hour drive and stress of a booking mix up at my planned hotel followed by a panicked look for somewhere to sleep. Was just stress shedding, after hearing what had happened Peter offered to cook me dinner on the spot to save me hunting for a restaurant. Then to find the room to be at perfect as it is the stress of a really bad day was melted away.

We had a fantastic stay, Peter the host was very welcoming and went above and beyond and helped to book a taxi for us to travel to town for dinner. Parking was safe and off-street and the accommodation is in a lovely quiet area. We had gorgeous views of (what I presume is) the golf course next door from the top floor of our accommodation. Spotlessly clean, and yummy breakfast. Lots of extra touches in the room like fresh flowers which we appreciated.

Fantastic location right near the centre of Ruddington so easy to walk into the centre. This is quite a unique B&B providing luxurious accommodation in the heart of this Nottinghamshire village. Peter your host is quite the raconteur having spent a career in the local hospitality and entertainment sectors and will strive to ensure you stay is as enjoyable as possible.
Can't really say there was anything we didn't like.

We were met by Peter, the owner, with a very warm welcome. Our stay was personalised beautifully, including a lovely birthday card for my wife. Breakfast was a real treat as we could order whatever we wanted!! Truly exceptional service.
Would love to have the opportunity to charge an electric car at the property.

Good view of the local park, proprietor kindly gave us a lift to the wedding venue which saved us getting a taxi.
Poached egg was over cooked. Rest of breakfast was good.
