Location, clean and tidy apartment, fully equipped

Amazing location! Could see the castle from the bedroom window. Everything was a short walk away. Very easy to get to as well!
It was a bit grotty. Lots of marks on the walls, damp around the door, bathroom smelt like rotten wood. Had to clean any dishes and cutlery before using them. My friend slept on the sofa bed and hardly got any sleep due to the night club right opposite. There were also some stains on the bedding and towels, they were clean of course but it was still a little off putting.

The hot water service to the apartment. After exploring Edinburgh on a very cold winters day it would have been really nice to have a hot shower. The shower was luke warm. We needed to boil the jug to wash the dishes.

Location, location, location! Great bed, excellent kitchen and washing options...very clean...and some complimentary tablet!
Loved everything

The location was great - old town, castle view, places to eat all around
It felt like the property could use a little TLC. We are based in Germany and often holiday in Germany, Austria, Italy, etc. and even the basic holiday properties there tend to be a little more loved. It’s just little details like rust on the toilet brush and darkened silicon at the bottom of the shower, dog-eared papers in the information folder. Printed notices stuck on a kitchen cupboard. Shabby can be chic but sometimes it can also be just a tad triste.

Central location, clean & well equipped. Extremely comfortable bed!!
Paintwork a bit tired, not keen on stairwell & entrance to property.
4.2
The owner was an extremely clear/good communicator
Wish there was a dryer and/or fan.

Very central location. Property was well fitted out and had everything that you needed. Decor was very fitting in the Highland Coo theme. Spacious and comfortable.

The location was absolutely perfect and the apartment had everything we needed. It was adorably themed and felt super cosy and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Perfect location, stunning interior, great views, cozy and comfortable all round, finally amazing value for money especially around such a busy time
Lacking slightly in water pressure showers best setting is eco and the hottest level of water
4.2
Central location and beautiful view from the balcony. Gavin was very hospitable and helpful with all our questions. The little unit was perfect for our needs! 11/10 would recommend!
4.2
Location is great, apartment offers good space, is well furnished and has all you need for a short stay. Would definitely recommend!
Access to the property is easy following the instructions received prior to arrival.
The host replies very quickly to any inquiries and is very helpful.
If you are carrying too much luggage, note that you have to go through some stairs to reach the apartment, but that's to be expected considering that it is located at a historic building.
The shower could be better as the water stream was a bit scarse.
A damage deposit is required

the apartment was very central to all sights.

Location was excellent. Small French cafe across the road for excellent breakfast especially the coffee. Bed was comfortable.
Shower was absolutely awful, barely any flow and very difficult to regulate temperature - boiling or freezing. Only one chair to sit on as futon was very uncomfortable. Bins at front gate smelly and rubbish everywhere
4.2
The location and staff were great!
The shower wasn’t great. There was hardly any power to it, so washing my hair was a big struggle.

We loved our stay at The Wee Highland Coo. The location was great and the flat had everything that we needed for our stay. The host was quick to reply with any questions we had and provided easy instructions in advance. We also loved the coo decor!

Wonderful location, parked at a car park and then walked everywhere as everything was so close. Very cozy inside with a beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle. Listened to the military tattoo and saw the fireworks from inside the room.
A little cleaner
4.2
very convenient and central location - this comes with the inevitable noise from the street and evening shows at the castle, but you can’t be central and quiet
we visited on a very unusually hot week… and the windows were tricky to open in order to get some air in, but the following day the owner brought us more sheets (to use instead of duvets provided) and a fan, very kind!

Top location 😁

Absolutely fabulous location, where else can you look out at the castle from your bedroom window. Great appartment with everything you could need. Very comfy bed, good shower, well equipped kitchen. Excellent communication from Gareth our host we will definitely book again if we are lucky enough to find it available.
Entrance to complex and stairwells could do with some attention but that is outwith the control of the host and didnt cause us any problems.

Sofa bed mattress needs replacing
Cannot open windows easily
4.2
The location was great.
It was too noisy to get a decent sleep mainly because the sound reverberated everywhere so we could hear every footstep.
4.2
The location. Also having more space, opposed to a hotel room.
There was nothing to complain about.
4.2
Great central location close to many landmarks. The apartment is cozy, roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The castle can also be seen from the bedroom window which is a nice view.
4.2
Perfectly located, not quite in the hustle and bustle but close enough to be there in a 3min walk. No issues with noise from any neighbours as previous visitors mentioned.
Good value for money, we used it as a base as we were out exploring for most of the weekend.
The bed was super comfy too.
Had all the amenities needed, however, a little dated and quick fixes to issues e.g. tape supporting the shower head, tape holding down air vents etc. Non of which was an issue, just a little more attention to detail would go a long way.
4.2
Everything was as expected, easy to find, location was brilliant, bed was very comfortable, facilitates were good!
Cleanliness wasn’t quite up to scratch, slightly damp smell, a few hairs left in the bathroom, and some unopened but out of date milk was left in the fridge.
