Absolutely beautiful place with lovely hosts, always going the extra mile for their guests. Spacious and super clean room and bathroom. Great location in a beautiful and quiet part of the three cities. We just loved our stay. And the great iced coffee for breakfast :)

I can't imagine a more hospitable welcome than in The 3Cities Auberge. My partner and I travel a lot, but this was probably the warmest and cosiest experience we have had. The rooms are impeccably clean and well furnished, you get free coffee, still and sparkling water and even complimentary wine. The hosts, Annett and Michael, are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet in an accommodation: they will help you, advise you on every question you may have, and even make you breakfast in the morning. We wish them the very best guests!

the location is perfect for the 3 cities and Valletta. a short walk to anywhere. it’s a traditional house which is beautifully renovated, spacious and I imagine perfectly cool in summer months. the roof top has a fabulous view across the harbour towards Valleta, perfect for an evening under the stars . Michael and Annett have good advice and knowledge on the what where when of Malta and we became immediate friends. so much nicer than a impersonal big chain hotel.
erm… nothing.

My wife and I really liked the hotel itself, the interior which was well thought out and matched the style, very good breakfast, great room which was very well equipped, the area was quiet and nice with good restaurants all around, last but not least Annett and Michel were super hosts who deserve a lot of praise in everything, from the first moment when we arrived to the last minute when we left the hotel! We are so grateful and would love to come back to Malta thanks to them in the first place!
the bell :)

The property was lovely, restored to a very high level and beautiful within. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, getting to Valletta was easy and the local area was perfect. The host Annett and Michael were wonderful they couldn’t have been more accommodating or helpful. Their kindness was second to none and definitely made our holiday even more enjoyable. If ever in Malta again we would return here in a heartbeat!

It is sadly not common enough to find lodging with all the elements for a gracious and comfortable stay. Annett and Michel have not only accomplished this in a superb location, but have created an environment with such a wonderful energy that you feel the heart and soul that they have put into every detail of not only the physical space, but also overall experience being there.
Truly a rare gem in the lodging world!

Charming, stylish and peaceful - hosted to perfection my Michael and Annett.
A wonderfully relaxing environment to spend a few days. The property is kept to the highest levels of cleanliness. It has a traditional charm and is immaculately furnished throughout. Every aspect of the accommodation is of supreme quality - the bed and bed linen are extremely comfortable.
The small touches only add to what is already a perfect experience (complimentary wine and beer in the room and on the terraces, for example).
A delicious and healthy breakfast.
The location is great and the water taxi to Valletta is a 5 minute walk away. There are multiple top-notch restaurants within walking distance of the property.
I would highly recommend a stay here to anybody. I shall return here on my next trip to Malta.
Regards,
Tony

Michael and Annett were the best hosts you could imagine, with the most spectacular rooms, views and friendliness. We had an amazing stay thanks to the good advice they gave us. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spotless. We spent our days relaxing on the roof terraces or walking through the streets of the 3Cities. The location was perfect; close to the Ferry to Valletta and many good restaurants in the neighborhood. We would definitely recommend, and will be back!

Perfect place to relax.
Spacious, airconditioned room with comfy beds.
Great location, Valletta is just a short walk and ferry ride away, while you can enjoy staying in a more quiet and non too touristy area.
Super friendly and welcoming hosts.
Accommodating and helpful in case of dietary restraints.
Recommendations for places to see and restaurants to visit were very helpful. For restaurants, reservations were arranged by the hosts, again helping to pick the right places offering vegetarian options.
Great freshly prepared breakfast.
Ice cube maker so you can chill your drink.
Several shared areas, small library, balconies to enjoy the view or sit outside and read.
If we visit Malta again, this would be our first choice .
This place is a gem!
There was nothing not to like.

Outstanding stay. Everything was perfect. Anette and Michael were wonderful hosts and took great care at everything! They helped us already before our trip with great tips, reservations of restaurants and many more. This wonderful help continued through our stay. The house is beautiful, everything is in great condition. We could not stop saying that this is the most beautiful place we ever stayed at!!! Thanks again for everything to Anette and Michael!
Everything was perfect!!!

The best apartament we have ever been at. Incredible service by the owners (Annett and Michael). We felt like visting a family abroad :) Great terrace view on the 3-Cities and Valetta. Close to stores, ferries and great restaurants.
Wish we had stayed there way longer but had to head back home. There's nothing to dislike. We will certainly return in the near future.

It was an amazing stay including my wife’s birthday! Everything was perfect: beautiful house, interior design, great location, views, fantastic weather, accomodation, food, delicious breakfasts! We had all we needed and even much more.
Annett and Michael are the best hosts ever, very very nice and hospitable! We felt like at home with friends. Their wonderful house is truly our home from home in Malta now.

We highly recomend The 3Cities Auberge apartments. Authentic, cozy, every little detail is thought out.
We are thankful to hosts Annett and Michael who made every morning like a little feast for us – breakfast was superb!
These are hosts, who love people and love everything what they are doing. That’s why you feel in these apartments like having a honeymoon.
We send the best luck for you!

Breakfast was a gourmet delight! Different muesli bowls with fresh fruit and yoghurt each morning. When I asked for cinnamon, our hostess immediately brought out, not only cinnamon but also tumeric and another spice. There was also a plate of different meats each morning and a fresh salad plate. My husband (a coffee drinker) said the coffee was first rate. Definitely a first class meal and first class service. Our hosts immediately made us feel at home. Their home is a treasure trove of art and flea market finds. Michael and Annette also provided wine and water in our refrigerator and coffee and tea on a cabinet. This house has been lovingly renovated, with unique touches throughout. It was quiet at night so we slept well. The little "bump-out" in our room over the street (I'm sure it has an architectural name) was perfect for relaxation and for reading. Michael and Annette provided directions, gave recommendations for restaurants, and included my husband in sharing a glass of wine with their friends. (I was tired and just went to bed in the incredibly comfortable four-poster in our room. My loss!) I can't sing the praises of 3 Cities Auberge enough. Truly! Go experience an accommodation unlike any other.
After my review above? What could be better?

Annett and Michael are wonderful hosts! They arranged a taxi to bring us from the airport and were waiting to greet us even though it was almost midnight. The Auberge is a beautiful, lovingly restored building with modern amenities while maintaining old world charm. Our room (de Castille) was quite large with a comfortable bed, two big chairs for relaxing, a small balcony and a beautiful bathtub. Bedside lights and outlets along with nightstands with drawers were much appreciated. The ceiling fan was perfect for keeping a comfortable temperature in April. The bathroom had a large shower with plenty of hot water, good water pressure, and nice towels. The little touches like complementary wine, beer, still and sparkling water, electric kettle with a nice selection of teas and a coffee maker were wonderful. There was even real milk available in the small fridge! Everything was replenished daily. Breakfast, including juice, fruit, yogurt, meat & cheese, muesli, salad and bread, along with our choice of coffee and tea was served at our chosen time each day, and was delicious! And the lovely balconies! We enjoyed sitting in the sun at the end of the day with a glass of wine watching the activity in the Grand Harbor before heading out to dinner at one of the restaurants suggested (and reserved) by Michael and Annett. All in all we felt like we were staying with friends who warmly welcomed us and helped us enjoy a wonderful, relaxing getaway in Malta. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others!
Nothing - everything was wonderful!

It’s the first time I’m writing review but this place most definitely deserves amazing one. From the very start it felt like we came home to people who are really looking forward to see us. They checked on us and helped with every single request we had. Their hospitality is outstanding. Their attention to detail extraordinary (to give examples: for breakfast we got grapes from which seeds were removed before serving, they helped with accommodating dietary restrictions). The whole place is spotless. I have never been to the hotel so clean. Breakfasts are made out of the best products like local strawberries. The whole vibe is about making guests feel welcomed and taken care off. They even had a parking spot for our arrival. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Annette & Michael are absolutely wonderful hosts. We had some very nice conversations with them & felt we were right at home. The property is located conveniently in the 3 cities area within walking distance to many nice restaurants, landmarks and the ferry to Valletta. We had the room on the top floor with a bath tub. It was extremely comfortable and very charming. We also enjoyed a freshly made breakfast every morning with local ingredients and anything one would need before a long day of walking. Wishing we had stayed longer!
Nothing, it was absolutely perfect!

The owners - Annette & Michael - are wonderful - and doing everything to provide the nicest stay, from the lovely room with all the details to the great breakfast, restaurant recommendations, rooftops with views etc. I can’t remember the last time we had a B&B with such fantastic hosts!

Make no mistake, 3 Cities Auberge is at the very top of accommodation available in Malta. From initial booking, requests for flowers and a particular wine in our room, to the making of appointments for Covid testing to return to the UK, nothing was too much trouble. The standard of the room was just exceptional. Everything (and I mean everything) had been thought of and then presented in a thoughtful but unobtrusive way. Annett and Michael have created an architectural work of art in this property, and bring to it the personal standards you would rarely find, other than in somewhere like the Dorchester in London. They bring to the accommodation their many years of expertise having been gained working on super yachts around the world. We have stayed in hundreds of establishments in over fifty countries and I struggle to even remember anyone of them competing with it, let alone equalling.
Do not even contemplate staying anywhere else in Malta or you will be missing an experience that will stay with you for ever. Many thanks from Mimi + Allister x
Nothing. You cannot improve on what they provide.

Great location close to the ferry to Valletta and the most important sights of the Three Cities. The rooms are beautiful with a real character and very well-equipped. The rooftop area offers a great view to the city. The breakfast was delicious. Annett and Michael are very friendly and great hosts they made us feel like home and helped us with great restaurant recommendations as well. Amazing stay, highly recommended for everyone!

Nothing to mention here.

What a wonderful experience! Everything was perfect! Our room was stunning, beautifully decorated, with local wine and beers chilling in the fridge. Delicious breakfast served on the roof top terrace with views over the harbour and Valletta. It an incredible location - in such a historic area, but only a few minutes delightful walk to the ferry and Valletta! Annett and Michael were exceptional hosts, and we felt as if we were in a 5* hotel - but with better service! They knew what we wanted before we did - that extra coffee, tips as to what to see/do, and always with perfect discretion, and lots of fun. We just wished we could have stayed longer, we miss the 3 Cities Auberge already.
Thank you Annett and Michael

We felt like at home from the very first moment. Annett and Michael are absolutely lovely and took care of us for everything: transfer, restaurant recommendations/ booking (fully trust them :-)), delicious breakfast and very nice conversations with a glass of wine.
The whole house is very unique with very nice details. The room is very comfortable and the terraces with the view are amazing! Everything is in walking distance.
We definitely come back! Thanks, Annett and Michael.

Annett and Michael were simply the best hosts we ever had. They not only offered us a wonderful place to stay and a hotel experience that makes you feel truly special, but also anticipated what we might need in advance and got it ready for us. Annett even reserved a great restaurant for us for the evening and if it wasn't for her we would not have a good spot to eat. The property was very authentic and the room was uniquely decorated. We loved the breakfast on the terrace with the amazing view. We actually even preferred to spend the evening at one of their terraces with great Maltese wine over drinking in a crowded bar outside. We had some bureaucratic trouble upon arrival to Malta, and Annett and Michael did everything they could to help us (including staying up very late and making late night phone calls for us, and trying to get us comfortable and relaxed to make up for the stress at the airport).
We were extremely happy with everything.
The only thing that would make it better would be us having more time to spend at The 3cities Auberge, 2-3 nights were definitely not enough :)

Annette and Michael are, in summary, fabulous hosts: attentive without being intrusive; knowledgeable but curious. The property is a perfect blend of history with modern convenience, from top notch linens to a superb breakfast spread.
Be aware that there’s no elevator; but if you can’t walk a few steps, Malta overall is probably not the place for you.

What an experience! Annett and Michael made us feel at home; their kindness, hospitality and winners tips to enjoy the island did clearly make a difference to our stay in Malta! What to say about the place itself… we had high expectations after reading comments and seeing the pictures but the reality is even more impressive. Those rooms and terraces (breathtaking views of Valetta and the 3Cities!) full of good taste details make this place unique in the Mediterranean; a very special spot we will never forget.
Worth also mentioning the breakfast! Delicious Maltese tastes (some of them prepared the night before) with the outstanding views is the best way to start your day. We will definitively come back and in the meantime will be thinking of the next glass of wine in the terrace :)
For those potential readers looking for a place in Malta, we can just recommend this authentic and amazing place, you won’t regret and, after your first step in, you will understand why is rated with 10.
Thank you again, Annett and Michael, our best wishes and hope to see you soon!

We enjoyed our stay in 3Cities Auberge very much. The building is very well renovated back to it's historical form by it's owners Annette and Michael, who gave us plenty of useful tips and made their utmost to make our few days in Malta unforgettable! We will definitely miss the delicious breakfasts with local food on the terrace with breathtaking views over the ropftops of Bormla.

Perfect location at the heart of the 3 cities with a direct boat to Valetta (10 min trip)
The room was beautiful, well equipped and big with access to two terraces
Very nice breakfast with variety of local and homemade products
Last but not least, the very welcoming place owners who took very good care of us (glass of wine to get to know each other upon arrival, tips to optimize our visits ...).
nothing really. Everything was perfect

My stay at Annett and Michael’s was way beyond expectations.
Annett and Michael are the loveliest people - very caring, about the well-being of their hosts, their beautiful house, the neighborhood, and I could definitely feel that as a guest, from the beautiful room decoration with multiple luxurious touches, to the amenities (the house is one of a kind, rearranged spectacularly while keeping its ancien-stone charm, the rooftop terraces offer spectacular views and are arranged with a lot of taste), and of course in their service towards guests - going way beyond above what could be expected.
Not only did they upgrade me to a room with a bathtub (thanks again!!), they also arranged for me to rent a scooter when I wasn’t able to arrange it on my own, even taking the time to drive me to the rental location (!) and arranging restaurant bookings, and learning from my tastes to deliver the best breakfast. I enjoyed our time sharing a glass of wine and learning about their life, sharing mine, and just living.
When I left, I felt I was saying goodbye to relatives.
I will definitely be back - for more than a weekend this time.
- The House: unique, beautiful and comfortable even though it also has the charm of the old
- The Rooftop Terrace: amazing views, mattresses available for yoga and relaxing, perfect to read a book or watch the sunrise/sunset overlooking the 3 Cities
- The Bedroom: spacious, so comfy and tastefully decorated. The bathtub was incredible, so was the shower, and the mattress was very comfortable. The wooden furniture puts in light the beautiful stone structure
- The service: very kind and warm
Nothing - everything was perfect

I have never met such nice and helpful hosts before. The whole stay was simply perfect, delicious breakfasts, beautiful room, perfectly cleaned every day. Care for guests, the whole atmosphere make this old house has a soul, you won't find it in any modern hotel. I recommend with all my heart!
