No lo recomiendo si vas en carro no hay parqueo, si deseas ir de fiesta este es el lugar, de lo contrario no podrás dorm

-Ubicación -Se encontraba limpio

-Tuve que tener una discusión con el personal porque no me habían guardado parqueo a pesar que pagué una habitación privada Deluxe. -Llegue al punto de solicitar que eliminaran mi reserva porque si cancelaba no me reembolsarían. -Luego de estar por más de una hora y media sin una solución parado en lobby alguien de los que tenía el parqueo decidió salir y me ubicaron. -En las reglas establece que no habrá ruido luego de media noche, llegamos a más de 2:00AM con música fuerte del bar, rancheras, corridos y demás. -Se escuchaba todo de las habitaciones cuando la fiesta paró la gente se fue a hacer fiesta a sus habitaciones.

très bon séjour: une adresse à garder pour passer 2 jours au lac Coatepeque.

Le site est magnifique, l'hébergement est très bien: même si nous étions juste à côté de la sono ( prévoir des boules quies pour dormir avant minuit). Dans notre chambre, il y a une vitre dans le sol qui nous permet de voir l'eau du lac. Nous avons bien aimé les plongeoirs et la possibilité de pouvoir faire du jet ski.

La musique toute la journée: même si j'aimais bien la playlist; la musique était trop forte.

Visit for the day instead

The location is right on the lake, which is absolutely beautiful although there isn't much else around it

The whole place felt like a bar with rooms rather than a hostel. They advertise that there's a kitchen but its the same one the staff use and you can't use it while they're busy which is annoying. They also play music from 3 different speakers, all with different tunes which can get on your nerves quite quickly. Lots of the staff live there and there is not enough bathrooms, you're always waiting. Also the staff slept in the hammocks each night meaning you couldn't chill there in the morning. Would recommend going for the day and staying in santa ana.

Experiencia inolvidable en el lago.

El trato del chico nuevo salvadoreño (Irvin?) que me recibió explicando todas las diferentes áreas del lugar además de la biología del Lago. Los saltos al Lago y columpios. Las piscinas interiores y plantas. La habitación limpia, camas cómodas y baño impecables.

La música muy fuerte casi todo el día y la gente y familias ruidosas que venían a pasar el día al bar y zonas comunes. No tenía cocina propia.

Viel Potenzial, schlechte Umsetzung

Tolle Lage, nettes Personal und einzig günstige Möglichkeit am See

Rechneten mehrfach zu viel Geld ab, in den Dorm war es unausstehlich warm und die Matratzen ungemütlich und fühlten sich in der Nacht wie vom Schweiß getränkt an. Statt zwei Nächte blieb ich nur eine.

Schöne Auszeit und Basis für Ausflüge in El Salvador

Eigentlich fast alles … tolle Lage am See, freundliches Personal, mindestens so gut wie in der Beschreibung- hat alles gepasst

Am ersten Nachmittag kam der DJ, nur laut, 62 db im Zimmer, niemand an der Bar, anscheinend waren alle geflohen und er versuchte verzweifelt sein Publikum über die Lautstärke zu erreichen und ließ sich nicht beirren. Wir dachten darüber nach das Hotel noch am ersten Tag zu wechseln, aber um 19 Uhr war dann Ruhe und von da an war alles super. Es waren drei wirklich schöne Tage.

Stunning surroundings

Location, so beautiful! Nice common areas, perfect to chill. Staff was nice and helpful.

Common areas got busy in the afternoons with people visiting. There was no quiet areas. Even the deck upstairs by the kitchen where people were not hanging out had loud music. Like super loud music everywhere most of the time - that was really tiring. And sometimes there would already be loud music coming from somewhere else and the bartender would play his own so you’d hear 2 different songs at the same time, which was annoying. The mornings were wonderful though!

I loved the place and would stay here again over and over. I just wish some things were a little different and they take

The scenery, the 2 pools, the top decks, the openness of it all, the clean lake, the hammocks, the kayak rentals, the cleanliness. Music was great most of the time! Staff was chill and relaxed. Loved that they had private lockers.

A bit far out with nothing around, wished more staff spoke English, but Dennis did and was very helpful. Sometimes the staff would sleep in the hammock at the restaurant and when I would wake up early I couldn’t hang in the hammock because of this. Wish they served coffee before 8am or offered it free for guests. The pictures on the food menu didn’t match what you actually got. Food can be improved. Nacho plate was very disappointing and bread always seemed cold/stale in the morning breakfast! Still decent but needs a bit of improvement. I was charged a 10% gratuity on everything and I’m wondering if they did the same for locals to? Dorm room is extremely crowded with 6 beds. I can’t imagine where everyone would put their bags if it was full.

I liked that it was on the lake. The staff that worked at the restaurant and front desk were really nice. It also has a few parking spots.

It’s located far from other restaurants. The food is also not that great. There is not much to do. The Wi-Fi was horrible.

The place has a great potential and the bed is comfy.

The staff is not very friendly, half of the hostel is being re-done, full of day pass people that they don't let enjoy a quiet place, also 5 speakers all with different music, and the bathroom in the doorm had a horrible smell! Definitely not what I was expecting!

Very good

The area is beautiful. The rooms are clean and bathrooms were as well. There are various things to do here and the staff is friendly.

This location was a little hard to find the first day we came out. Lots of potholes in the road made it a slow go as well.

Totally worth it: you gotta stop by!

This is the best place I've stayed at in El Salvador! It may "look" remote, but the bus system is easy and sooo cheap, it's only 2 buses from Santa Ana, less than 1$ in total The location is dream-like. The water is warm and so good to swim in. I had the time of my life just enjoying the lake and the sun over there. They provide fresh water, and the hostel is surrounded by huge mango trees they invite you to eat for free as much as you want! The staff would bring me a plate and a knife anytime they would see me pick some mangoes up! The staff will treat you like family and is always willing to help. I've had some issues with the paiement and the staff did everything they could to accommodate me. The dorm was comfortable and the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Everything looks new and the bathroom was spotless. The dorm is far enough from the chilling spot so it was quiet at night: i slept so good. I would go back in a heartbeat, and spend more time in this piece of paradise

Nice place at an amazing location, could be even nicer

+ amazing location + friendly staff + very nice bar and common areas

- feels like the place has more potential - Not that many showers and toilets. They appear to construct even more rooms, I hope they think of adding new restrooms and showers as well - bathrooms and private rooms could be nicer - water was out in the public restrooms during my stay, the staff did not inform the guests or provide buckets of water to flush. The result is obviously disgusting - they don't have a proper first aid kit at the hostel...

The location and the facilities

We paid more to be in a quiet private room but woke up everyday super early with some construction guys smashing walls in front of our door. That really made the experience worse for us. I recommend the owners to reconsider the timing of the construction works or not accepting guests in those rooms while you're doing renovation work.

Very good

Nice basic hostal located right on beautiful Largo de Coatepeque.... Stayed 6 bed dorm.. Adequaute power points, Lockers and shower outside dormnearly... Have live music from time to time. Food menú ok but more expensive because of location and no comoettition as no local restaurants...

Sheets due to sweats type material constantly come off mattress.

Great location, beautiful view of the lake. Nice pool.

You have to ring everytime you have to enter the hostel, you don't have keys. No place to put our things in the dormitory (table, more accessible charge plug). The restaurant is okay, expensive and it is an hit or miss. The chicken was good but the pasta was horrible for example.

Superb

Staff were very generous with the morning coffee and letting us store our food in their fridge. Meals and drinks at the restaurant weren't too badly priced. There's an ATM at the gas station a 20 min walk away where you can also find snacks and drinks. Buses and pick ups come past the hostel regularly so you have no problem getting away and the hostel has a bicycle you can borrow as well as a SUP to use when it's not windy. There's a pizza place nearby as well as a pupusería for budget meals.

Mattress in the dorm needs replacing I'd say, it was very soft. Ok for a few days though. The cold water shower takes some getting used to, I'd only shower in the morning after a work out as too cold and windy at night.

Fabulous cool spot, decor, atmosphere and views, but waiting 80 mins for breakfast is unacceptable

A vey cool place, very quirky, full of character, great atmosphere, could see lake between the floorboards of our bedroom, lovely to have a beer overlooking the lake at night & to wake u to sunrise. The guy who welcomed us was very helpful, teh restaurant had closed and it was 15 min drive back to a service station but he made us soem nachos which were perfect and this didn't take long

Our experience was ruined as we waited 80 mins for our breakfast and we were paying extra for this breakfast. This was compounded by the fact we were told it was a 30 min drive to the start of Santa Ana volcano hike. luckily i checked google maps which shows it is a 50 min drive (there were some roadworks also). At this point we panicked and said we need to leave asap, its now 80 mins & where is breakfast? but the breakfast still wasn't ready while people in the kitchen were looking at their mobiles. When breakfast came it was very good but we hadn't time to eat it apart from gobbling a few bites as we needed food before the hike. It was a shame that the long wait for breakfast sort of ruined our Captain Morgan's experience, luckily the hike stated 15 mins late and we got to do it - we were lucky. Advice to Captain Morgan's Please advise future guests to leave an hour to get to Santa Ana - 50 mins drive & then bathroom etc. and please try to not to have a wait of more than 30 mins for breakfast
