The staff went out of their way to try and help.
They don't serve food though it's written that they do and they are not truthful about the location not being near the airport as they say.

I felt comfortable and well served
There was a time that water was not available for about 6 hours or so..

The room was a decent size and had a little balcony. It is on the pick-up route for the train to Nairobi, so that is convenient. The staff was helpful in arranging this and there is good WiFi everywhere.
The shower was only a mere trickle and the fan also didn't work particularly well

The hotel was OK for the price.
It's convenient for anyone who has a flight to catch early in the morning or sgr.
It's quite
Abit difficult to find with Sat Nav, but locals are quick to assist when you get lost.
There is a local food restaurant called SHAKE HANDS, and the food and staff are friendly. The food and drinks are affordable in the shake hands bar/ restaurant. Round the corner are shops and mini supermarkets.
If it's for 1 or 2 days, it's handy to stay.
The mosquitoes
The windows don't have a net, and some window slates are missing,

The stuff members were friendly and helpful. Nelson, Nancy and Jennifer all of them helped us to settle in nicely. The place was clean and the wifi is connecting so well. We had the best time of our lives

The hotel in and of itself is pretty much what you would expect from the price. No luxury but everything was there what was necessary. The location is great and the surroundings were very exciting. One positive thing that stood out was the friendly staff at the hotel. Especially Nelson the owner was really nice. Due to the failure of the Internet, I unfortunately had to leave a day earlier than booked, whereupon Nelson offered a full refund for the canceled night. Really very accommodating!
I think some guests would appreciate a toilet seat.

I had a good stay. The staff and owner were friendly and helpful. I especially liked the rooftop patio.

A great surprise. Really good value, clean, comfortable and staff (Nelson, Nancy & Jennifer) were excellent. A very comfortable bed with well fitting mosquito net, a good ceiling fan, great rooftop b'fast and a good price.

This hotel is very basic but it is superb value for money when you consider what is offered for the price. Nelson and his staff are extremely helpful and amenable. Our bags for delayed on a flight from Nairobi to Mombasa and Nelson helped us with phone call to the airport to get them back. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Someone was on hand to let us into the hotel in the early hours of the morning and Nelson even organised a driver to pick us up at the airport in the early hours of the morning.
Nothing. As I mentioned the hotel is relatively basic and in the centre of Mombasa. However, everything was good.

Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. Very basic but enough clean, calm and comfortable room to stay one or two nights. No air-condition but there is a fan. Temperature in the room about 25 - 27 C, so acceptable. A little bit slow wifi and small bathroom (African style: no shower cabin, micro sink, no toilet board, only cold water). Transport to airport or downtown tuk-tuk (about 500 KS one way, 20 minutes) or taxi only. Surroundings: typical Mombasa suburb but not so noisy. It looked safe. Breakfast good enough: two boiled eggs, bread, margarine, instant coffee. Key advantage: price!!! and staff.
Bathroom, distance to downtown, slow wifi.

I chose Cingaki Hotel due to its proximity to the SGR station and to where I needed to be in Mombasa. If you travel light and arrive by train, a matatu can bring you fast to Mikindani for ca. KES 300. The hotel itself is lovely, the room had everything I needed and the rooftop is beautiful. While it's true that platform taxi drivers (Uber, Little, ...) don't like to pick / drop passengers in Mikindani for its rough roads, the hotel staff will assist you with transport. Additionally, it's a mere 4-minute walk from the hotel to the matatu stop where a minibus to town will cost you 50-70 KES. From the practical arrangements it's noticeable that the hotel owner himself is an experienced traveller and he has recruited a truly friendly staff. I felt welcome and I'd consider this place for leisure trips, too, especially when arriving late with the train!

-The reception and welcoming nature of the personnel
-The view from the balcon and breeze
-Cleanliness.
-The toilettes had no toilettes and in double room this was not good for the people.

The room was very clean and spacious. The manager and the staff were really nice and helpful. I notably appreciated the breakfast which was taken on a flowered terrace. The place was really calm. Given the very low price, the place was far better than expected.
Unfortunately, the only negative point is the location. It was very difficult to find a car/tuk tuk and it's quite a ride to town especially because of the road construction. But if we have time and you travel by matatu/boda boda, this is a good place to stay.

My room was spacious and clean. No noise at night. Fan worked well. Breakfast was good, I enjoyed the view from the terrace!
Staff was very friendly but not well trained in service. (I’m pretty sure they get better day by day, so they will already be a lot better by now :) )
The shower wasn’t working in my room. As I’m used to that I just used the sink, which was fine as I only stayed for one night!

The friendliness of the staff was great, the whole hotel was clean. The hotel is not luxury, you just get what you pay for, and this is worth the small amount of money they charge you. If booked, you can expect a delicious breakfast too. We enjoyed our stay very much. Asante sana.
The rooms need some improvement, foremost the bathroom. There was no toilet seat on the bowl, and no places to put your toiletry stuff.
