About this cabin rental
Cabin has a gourmet kitchen (soapstone countertops/farm sink, induction cooktop), wide plank oak floors, and art/woodwork/metal sculpture/stained glass from local artisans. Renovations completed in 2016, with all new appliances (including washer/dryer combo unit), and new furniture. Gas fireplace and antique lighting. Free WiFi, Cable TV with loads of channels, DVR, and Netflix. Sleeps a MAXIMUM of four: king bed and sky light for star gazing in master, two twin xl that can be converted to king in 2nd BR upon request. Enjoy the fabulous views and garden from the pine tree shaded deck or the intimate covered patio out back.
A local craftsman, Dale White, did an amazing transformation, using beetle kill pine (blue stain) on the ceilings and built-ins. The home is only 750 square feet, but it feels much larger with the vaulted ceilings, open floor plan, and various built-ins. The cabinets are quarter sawn oak, and the kitchen table base is from an old boiler. The bathroom vanity is made from ancient bristlecone pine, with a soapstone sink/counter. I feel like the cabin itself is art, and I love being in it. I hope you will too.
Cabin is blocks from hiking trails, swimming pool, Green Mtn Falls lake, and restaurants. Green Mountain Falls is a quaint and quiet town. This cabin is a serene home base for touring the Air Force Academy, The Broadmoor, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, and many more of the nearby sites. The Pikes Peak region is a wonderful place for fishing, biking, and hiking. It's a dreamy place. Come and stay!

Our stay at the Cabin in the Pines was absolutely FANTASTIC! My son and I flew into Colorado Springs for an unplanned, long weekend getaway, and Lisa was able to accommodate us at the last minute. She answered my message inquiring about her property ASAP and stayed in touch with us for the rest of our stay. The cabin is beautiful, and Lisa has thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay comfortable, fun, and stress-free. I was in the tourism and hospitality industry for many years, so I have pretty high expectations when it comes to my accommodations, and the Cabin in the Pines definitely surpassed those expectations by a mountain mile! I would love to stay here again and show it off to the rest of my family someday. My 11 year old son was in complete awe of the entire cabin and the surrounding scenery as well. We had so much fun together in C-Springs and the surrounding areas, and Lisa's cabin was a HUGE part of that fun. Thank you for everything, Lisa!

Lisa's property is amazing! You can tell there was so much love put into the property. Every detail considered. Top notch all the way around....and she even goes the extra mile to make sure you have nice homemade treats. Great weekend long weekend with family.

As much as it would be wonderful to keep this a best kept secret so we can always go back, but it would be unfair to keep this from others!
It was an incredible place to stay, beautiful cabin, beautiful setting, absolutely fantastic host in Lisa and so many great things to do in the area.

What a beautiful retreat in the quaint town of Green Mountain Falls. The cabin was beyond amazing (one of the best Vrbo’s I’ve ever stayed in), the location could not have been better, and our host was fantastic. From the fresh baked apple pie that welcomed us to literally every other amenity you can think of….it was perfect. I highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay here!! Lisa is a great host, best VRBO host we've ever had by far. House is very well stocked, there wasn't anything we wanted that wasn't available. I would defiantly stay here again, only about 15 minutes to all the local attractions with a calm peaceful environment. I have nothing but positive things to say about the house & the host!!

This home more than lived up to its description regarding craftsmanship and artistic details.
It's well appointed with top appliances, kitchen gadgets, cookware, toiletries and other conveniences. Lisa has truly made a home for her temporary residents. She's remarkably accessible and attentive if needed, and has PERFECTED the apple pie! The cabin's location is minutes from groceries, walking trails and restaurants--so convenient. There is no central air but even with hot July days it wasn't necessary. We loved the views from the front porch, with another porch at the back of the house to enjoy. Truly a restful retreat! Thank you Lisa!!

Cabin in the Pines is absolutely lovely! The view from the front porch is beautiful! Every part of the cabin is thoughtfully and artfully designed to meet any needs you might have. Lisa, the host, is easy to reach and communicate with. We loved our time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Green Mountain Falls and this cabin provides a nice, quiet retreat that's an easy 15 to 20 minute drive from all the main attractions.

This is by far the best place we have stayed. The location is beautiful and so is the cabin. It’s conveniently located near the town center and hiking trails. The host is wonderful and has a great guide book for the area. I can’t say enough good things about the cabin, lots of little joys await!

This was our first time staying at a VRBO and it was more than we expected. We read a lot of reviews and kept thinking this place sounded too good to be true. It ended up being better than expected. The house was exactly as pictured and Lisa had thought of everything, including some of the things we forgot. She has a welcome book full of tips and local favorites. Some of our favorite restaurants and hikes came from her book. Lisa was an exceptional host.

This is such a special place. Honestly the best rental we have ever stayed at. It’s clean, fully stocked, and is managed by the best host. Lisa was amazing. We all adored her but my daughter just loved her. The location is great for Manitou, Colorado Springs, or just hiking or staying at the cabin. Thank you again Lisa. We are already talking about coming back.

Everything about The Cabin in the Pines surpassed my expectations. It was beautiful, comfortable, cozy, convenient, and completely relaxing to be in. The house itself was one thing, and then the town of Green Mountain Falls was more charming than we could have imagined. And then Lisa—she sets a new high bar for hospitality. The best cabin, town, and host you can imagine! Highly recommend for families with small children (or without!).

It was absolutely the coziest VRBO we have stayed at! Lisa was so very accommodating! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! Super quick to respond every time we had a question! This beautiful VRBO was so close to all the scenic places we wanted to experience including Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and Broadmoor’s Seven Falls! Lisa even baked us a pie, which was so perfect, we didn’t want to cut into it! The bed was super comfortable and we took advantage of the porch in the evening! We couldn’t be happier with our choice and hope to get back here in the near future! Thank you again, Lisa, for sharing your awesome VRBO! Keith and Carrie!

Fantastic property with an even more fantastic property owner, Lisa. I'm not sure what we enjoyed more, the homemade apple pie and ice cream waiting for us, the well stocked and "not much needed" vacation home, or the attention to detail from Lisa who ensures your stay is one to remember.

Lisa is the best host you will ever have! The cabin is stunning with everything you need and then some. Cleanliness is tip top! We stayed over Christmas and Lisa had the cabin decorated for Christmas with a tree and all. She had special surprises for my kiddos to have fun over the holiday. The location is beautiful in the mountains and convenient to restaurants and stores. This is the best stay ever! This is not your typical short term rental stay in the least. Highly recommend!! You will be so glad you stayed.

Wow!! From the fabulous Mountain View’s to the best stocked Vrbo property we have ever found, to the backyard full of deer, to the best host anyone could ever ask for, this rental had it all. Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure her guest not only have a beautiful view but has designed this rustic but charming cabin with all the little extras anyone could possibly think of. She even provides her guest with a delicious homemade apple pie! When we got snowed in unexpectedly, she even brought us food so we didn’t have to get out on the bad roads. If you are looking for a top notch vacation rental, look no further! This is one vacation property you don’t want to miss!!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Cabin in the Pines for our Anniversary. Lisa was an amazing host. Fresh homemade apple pie waiting on the countertop for us, then fresh peaches delivered shortly after our arrival. The cabin has everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. The cabin is perfectly nestled in the mountains with views that will take your breath away. Sit on the deck and take in the views, or walk a few blocks to the trailhead behind and explore them on foot. The quaint town is very peaceful and friendly with a nice diner for breakfast and lunch. Exactly what we needed to recharge and reset from our busy lifestyle. Lisa's hospitality and beautiful cabin make this place a must stay.

We decided to vacation in Colorado to get away from the 100+ temps in Texas, and we found the perfect place. The temps were very comfortable, we spent every night of our stay out on the front deck enjoying the stars and each other. From the front deck you are looking at the south peak of Pike's Peak, which is beautiful to see. The cabin is close enough to Colorado Springs, Woodland Springs, and Manitou Springs that you can easily get to attractions, museums, and restaurants. The cabin is well-equipped, comfortable, and charming. Lisa is a fantastic host, easy to contact, and more than willing to answer any questions about the area. We are looking forward to renting this cabin again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin and hope to return. In addition to the baked goods mentioned in the other reviews, we particularly enjoyed wathing the short storms that appeared every day at 4pm and the daily deer in the back yard.

We are from west Texas, and needed a summer escape from the heat. This little place was perfect. Tucked away in the trees - we kept the windows open all week and let the mountain breeze blow through the house. Lisa was amazing! There was a homemade apple pie waiting on us when we got there and she even brought over chocolate cupcakes later in the week. This cabin is beautifully renovated and felt cozy and updated at the same time. Very clean and great attention to detail. We loved it - will tell our friends about it - and plan to come back and stay there again!! Thanks Lisa

Our weeklong stay at Cabin in the Pines was truly a wonderful experience. Lisa, our host, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated and the view of the mountains was amazing. Lisa had an apple pie (and ice cream in freezer) waiting for us when we arrived. Later in the week she brought over hand pies and chicken chili…all absolutely delicious! She also provided us with ideas of attractions and restaurants to visit which was so helpful. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future!

If you are considering booking Cabin in the Pines you should look no further. This was the best Vrbo we have ever stayed in! It is so clean, cozy, well-supplied, with beautiful scenery and wildlife, close to nature, but also nearby cities and towns. Lisa was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. We could tell right away that she loves her cabin and her community. Her homemade pie was delicious and a wonderful surprise! Next time we are in the area we will be sure to stay here again.

Wonderfully beyond our expectations!
Lisa the owner/hostess, certainly has her Master’s Degree in hospitality.
Impeccable organization with over stocked accoutrements, making it totally feel like I was at my own home.
The cabin was fresh spotless-clean, and cozy. The quiet respite was greatly appreciated, after a long day of activities. The whispering pines when the wind was blowing, provided relaxing music on the porch with a can of hard-seltzer:)
Good restaurants nearby.

We loved everything about this cabin including our host, Lisa! There is so much to do in the area, the scenery was phenomenal, and the cabin was the perfect place to rest and relax after our adventures! Our host was the most accommodating host we’ve ever had! She had a sweet note for our anniversary on a cute chalkboard with a delicious homemade apple pie and even had ice cream in the freezer ready for us upon arrival! One day it snowed and she brought us chicken chili and scrumptious chocolate cookies! We really felt at home in this cozy cabin! We admired all the craftsmanship that went into this special home! We loved it & can’t wait to return!

This is a charming cabin for a small family like ours. We loved the natural wood all throughout the structure and furnishings. The cabin perfectly blends with its picturesque surroundings. Cabin in the Woods was a wonderful addition to our Colorado vacation and the host added many small conveniences that made traveling with kids easier. We highly recommend.

We had such a fantastic time staying at Lisa’s cabin. The location was close enough to everything we wanted to see in the Colorado Springs area. We loved watching the sunrise colors between mountain peaks every morning from our bedroom window. We arrived to a delicious fresh-baked pie, and Lisa kindly brought a high seat and a pack-and-play for our young child. And while she checked In to see if we needed anything, the place already had everything in it we could ever think to need! I’ve been in some lovely rentals but this one really has been the best. I can’t recommend Cabin in the Pines highly enough!
