Spend the warm sunny days enjoying the local walks through Mary Cairncross Park, climbing the Glasshouse Mountains, a day at the beach or simply a game of cricket in the front yard. And then settle in for a night in front of the fire.
Enjoy the views and rolling hills 1200 feet above sea level.
If you wish to have a late check out an extra $25/hr (maximum 2 hours) will be charged. If you require a later check out than 12pm an extra days booking will be required.

Very quiet, lovely property, plenty of space and only a few km’s to town

It’s a beautiful big house with plenty of room. We had a great long weekend there and will definitely be back to stay again.

Just perfect for our family! We arrived to have a good time in a big house but found a beautiful home and had a great time. There was plenty of everything to meet our needs in all the different areas from kitchen to laundry and in between!
We loved the layout of the house, (& the chalkboard walls in bedrooms are very interesting). The views match the house…both are worth looking at!
The fire place heated up the house very well. We had a couple of men that did a great job of keeping it stoked.
The location was excellent for visiting the local attractions. A couple of our fellows enjoyed the local golf course despite the holiness!

The house was the perfect size for our large family gathering to celebrate my milestone birthday. Plenty of bedrooms and living areas for people to spread out. Close to local attractions. Considering going back next year for my Dad's 90th

Arrived at the house late so was a bit dark entry is through the back door my 1 year old granddaughter walked up the stairs with me and as she was walking I noticed the Balaustrade is missing and has a drop of approx 6 ft to concrete below, not safe.
It was very very cold and there is no heating in the entire house except a combustion heater downstairs which didn’t work so we had to run it with the door open which smoked badly.
I texted the owner didn’t hear anything back
Till next day. We went out in the morning after an extremely difficult night with 3 very cold children. When we got back there was 6 blower heaters left inside which we appreciated but wasn’t happy someone came in with out letting us know. However when plugged in the heaters kept tripping the electrics we could only plug 3 in at a time so we opted to keep the children warm, even these tripped overnight and I was continually going out during the night to reset the breaker.
The house was also dirty and could do with a very very deep clean.
Cobwebs in the wardrobes and something disgusting in one of the wardrobes, oven etc very dirty.
The writing all over the chalk board walls is a bit weird.
For a house which I assume due to the materials used aluminium windows hollow doors low ceilings Gyprock walls this house was built in the 1990’s it is a very pretty house it’s a pity it is being let down by the things listed above
Recommend a new cleaner a split system aircon and repair the Balaustrade

The property is very nice and big, it is great for a big extended family stay. the hot water system is an issue, we had hot water for about 3 showers, and the remaining showers we had to have cold ones which isn't nice in winter time, it is pretty hard with small kids also. The fireplace is very nice and big. The house definitely needs a proper clean. The bbq wasnt clean. When we arrived and the oven looks like it hasn't been wiped down for a long time. The listing needs to be updated to reflect that two of the bedrooms are separated by a curtain and each bedroom have internal doors to each other. Overall it was a nice house, just needs a bit of attention. The hot water was definitely the deal breaker with the house, if that is fixed so that a backup system is installed/on, then we would come back. But wouldn't come back again if still no hot water.

The property is a great size for family gatherings with lots of spaces for individuals to break away if they need to.
We struggled with hot water, the house has a solar hot water system that couldn't keep up after one day of bad weather. And because the weather was cool already outside, a cold shower was not great.

Beautiful location & potentially great property let down by a huge number of issues most of which could be rectified with better maintenance-& others that one should really know about before booking this property, just some are-oven not working which was a known issue that we weren’t told in advance about!, solar hot water only, so no hot water until mid morning even on a sunny day, only one filthy, tiny frypan for 10 people, barbecue was disgusting & nearly unusable, only heating (8 degrees overnight) combustion fire that the fan was broken so very cold at night, listed for up to 12 people but 2 of the bedrooms had an open aperture between them so no privacy for those people, whole house needed deep clean-dirty, dusty, mouldy & cobwebs abounded, door locks broken to name just some of the issues. We feel very sad for the owner who lives in America & is not being treated well by Aussie tradies who should be helping her maintain this property in a much better light! Unfortunately we could not recommend a stay here despite its potential & fantastic location!
PS-the owner did offer a refund of a small amount of compensation but not enough to make us feel good about our stay & as yet have not received same!

The house and furnishings were wonderful. It suited our family get-together well. Cleanliness was a bit average, though. The BBQ was quite filthy and there were spider webs around.

A beautiful home with lovely big spaces. Needs a proper deep clean. The beauty of the home is let down by the awful graffitied chalk board walls in two of the rooms. Two of the rooms are also adjoining which impacted how we were planning to use the rooms due to lack of privacy. We were very inconvenienced by an oven with no heat and a moldy bbq which made preparing the meals we had planned, near impossible. With some attention this stay could be 5 stars.

Very comfortable premises although very hot and stuffy in summer. No airconditioning or insect screens so be prepared with plenty of insect repellent during summer months when you need to open windows. Large home with plenty of rooms. Would recommend during winter months using the fireplace.

Plenty of room. Everything you needed was there. Plenty of hot water. Kitchen was very well supplied. Beds were comfortable. Information in a book was helpful for using oven etc. close to Maleny

We had the most amazing stay, so close the the Maleny township (just around the corner) Plenty of space, and a really nice outdoor area with large table and chairs to accomodate a family of 12. We stayed for a week at this beautiful house and have never stayed in a place where almost everything was provided. A really thoughtful place that allowed us to relax and spend quality time with the people we love. Would 100 stay here again.

Very comfortable. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were fantastic. Downstairs meant that 3 couples shared one bathroom - we managed.

Big and spacious house suitable for a large family. The house needs a good deep clean and the BBQ needs to be replaced. Two en suite bedrooms upstairs a bonus.

Property was not that clean and a bit run down. There were cobwebs behind doors and dead insects on kitchen counter. and BBQ was unclean upon arrival. As we washed up each night we did not use dishwasher. On last day went to put dishes in dishwasher and discovered that’s were forks etc were as it hadn’t been unstacked. Single beds uncomfortable and on wheels so rolled around l. Very spacious property, with lovely views from front, but would most likely try something different next time.

It was a family occasion. The house was big enough to accommodate us all. The grounds were good for the kids to play. The rooms were spacious and we didn’t feel cramped and the beds were really comfortable. It was good to be able to communicate with the host by message directly

Great house which was nice and large for our family friendly catch up.
It had plenty of space and was in a beautiful location. It needed a good clean as It was very dusty and had lots of cobwebs. If it had a good clean I would not be able to fault this place.

The kitchen was user friendly, driveway great for the kids on their scooters. Great having a few living areas and tvs.

Beautiful and spacious house, with multiple living areas. Kitchen well stocked with more than sufficient plates, mugs, cutlery, etc, as well as cooking utensils. Fridge space was on the small side considering the house sleeps 12. Lovely grounds, privacy from established trees, and a lovely view from upstairs.

We loved our stay and really enjoyed the lived in and well loved feel of the house. We had photos on the grand staircases and loved spreading out in various living areas depending on what time of day and vibe it was. Everything we needed was provided and mostly in good clean condition.

The house is even more impressive than the listing photographs. It is massive and beautifully furnished with everything you would ever need for your stay, plus plenty we didn’t get a chance to use. The property was very clean and presented impeccably. I can’t rate our stay high enough.

Our group of friends and our kids had a lovely time staying at Gillandrea after new years. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone and a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the big grassed yard for some slip and slide fun and the big house for a big game of hide and seek. My only negative comment would be that the lawn maintenance person turned up mid stay and spent a couple of hours mowing the lawn, disturbing the peace and quiet somewhat.

We had a lovely experience renting this lovely old home. We were a large family group of adults and children visiting for a family wedding, and needing a lot of bedrooms. We stayed for two nights.
There are 4 bedrooms downstairs, 2 on each side of the hallway and opposite each other, 3 with double beds and one with two singles. These two sets of bedrooms each have a door joining them (non-locking), and one set also had a large window in between with a sheer curtain. These share a large bathroom downstairs. Upstairs are two with ensuites, the master bedroom absolutely enormous. There is a large lounge room upstairs, and two downstairs, as well as a large formal dining room.
As well as being being large and stately, this beautiful residence has everything we needed for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The property has a greenish courtyard with a beautiful outlook. The location is convenient and close to many landmark places in Maleny and nearby Montville. The property owner has a good stock of amenities, books, board games as well as video games provided. The only issue is that some appliances don't seem to work ; the range hood has light but the fan is not working, and the dishwasher doesn't work all the time. Linens and towels are plenty and all beds are clean and comfortable. It will be nice if more attention can be paid to clean up spider webs at staircases, furniture and clothesline outdoor prior to guests arrival. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay at the property. It suits our need to accommodate family members from interstate and overseas perfectly. Thank you
